Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the position of processed agricultural products exports of Indonesia in ASEAN countries. The data used in this research is secondary data that is in the form of time series data for 10 years that is the2005-2014 in the year can be from various sources such as the United Nations Commodity Trade Statistics Database, World Trade Organization, the Ministry of Trade etc. The analysis of the data used in this research is a descriptive analysis, that analysis that describes the position of the export of processed agricultural product Indonesia in ASEAN countries. Results of the study concluded that the export of processed agricultural products position ASEAN countries highest occupied by Indonesia with the export value reaching US$21.28 billion in 2014. While the next position occupied by Malaysia, Thailand, Viet Nam, Singapore and the Philippines.Keywords: Processed Agricultural Products, Export, Export Value Position

Abstract

Raphis excelsa, also called Palemwaregu now become popular as ornamental plants. This kind of palms are cultivated and exported to overseas.   The purpose of this reserch is to analyze the financial feasibility of ornamental plants Raphis excelsa farming. The research is done in Labuai, District Bukit Raya, Pekanbaru City. Farmers Group in Labuai received funding aid from the Food and Horticulture office of Pekanbaru City. The land area is about ​​0.5 ha.Financial analysis criteria used in this reserch are Net Present Value (NPV), Net Benefit Cos Ratio (Net B/C), Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and sensitivity analysis. The research results showed that Raphis excelsa farming hasperformed well and its financial criteria of NPV, Net BC ratio and IRR has met the standard investment criteria. The sensitivity analiysis showed that when input prices increase by 50% and output prices decrease 20% the results of sensitivity analysis still meet the standard investment criteria. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the development of Indonesia's natural rubber exports and analyze the competitiveness of Indonesian natural rubber in the international market. The data used in this study was a secondary data export raw natural rubber Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia during the period 1996-2010. The data was taken from the value and volume of exports of natural rubber in the international market. The analytical method used was the Revealed Comparative Advantage ( RCA ) and Constant Market Share ( CMS ). The results of this study indicate that the development of Indonesia's natural rubber exports tend to increase every year. The level of the comparative advantage of Indonesia's natural rubber exports relatively higher than Malaysia. Meanwhile during the period 1996-2006, the level of the comparative advantage of Indonesia was lower than Thailand. While during the period 2007-2010, the level of the comparative advantage of Indonesia's natural rubber is relatively higher than Thailand. This data indicated that Indonesia has a comparative advantage exports of natural rubber were getting better every year. From the CMS analysis note that the competitiveness of Indonesia's natural rubber exports more influenced by standard growth and competitiveness effects. This represents an increase of Indonesia's natural rubber exports more influenced by the growth of the world's natural rubber exports. Abstract

Sustainable Foods Household (KRPL) is a government program to improve food consumption based on the additional income of farmers. The purpose of this research are (1) to analyze the level of household income and farm income of farmers Sustainable Foods Household (KRPL) in Pekanbaru (2) to analyze the total expenditure and the proportion of household food to total expenditure of farmers Sustainable Food Household program in Pekanbaru. The method used in sampling is disproportionate random sampling method, the number of samples in the study was 62 samples member KRPL. Analysis of the data used is the analysis of farm income and the proportion of household expenditure analysis. The total amount of household income was Rp.194.845.500, which consists of the husbands’ income (Rp.137.050.000), KRPL farm incomes (Rp.8.685.500), the wives’ income (Rp.41.350.000), and other income (Rp7.760.000). KRPL program contribution to total family income amounted to 4.46%. Total amount of household expenditure were Rp.175.263.667, which consists of food expenditure Rp.97.876.067 and Rp.77.387.600 non-food expenditure. The proportion of household food expenditure KRPL agricultural groups were smaller than the proportion of non-food expenditure, which equal to 44.15%.Keywords:  KRPL Program, Household Income, Household Expenditure, Pekanbaru City.

Abstract

As a strategic commodity, rice is a key sector to support regional development through agricultural sector. As a primary need, rice holds an important role at regional rice requirement fulfillment. The need of rice consumption is rising because of the population increase. In order to maintain its availability, the preservation of paddy cultivation is important to be done by considering agro-ecosystem, social, and culture condition, and people preference. At the same time rice productivity is getting difficult to increase. The area of rice field in Indragiri Hilir Regency in 2010 is about 36.444 Ha, and in Tembilahan Subdistrict where the research was done is about 2.200 Ha. The aims of this research are to analyse the influence of rice production factors on productivity and to determine the use of production factors to achieve the optimum production. This research uses Cobb Douglas's producton function to analyze the influence of these production factors on rice production. Respondents of 39 farmers are taken by simple random method. The research result shows that fertilizers, seeds, pesticide, and micro water ordinance variables have significant impact on productivity at 85,3% level.       Keywords: Rice Farming, Cobb Douglas production function, productivity.

Abstract

Rubber (Hevea brasiliensis) is one of the most important cash crops cultivated by the people In Riau Province. This objective of this research is to analyze financial feasibility of rubber plantation in Pulau Jambu Village Kuok district Kampar Regency, Riau. Primary data used in this research were obtained thorugh direct interviewes with farmers, middle men and whole sellers which include prices of rubber, fertilizer, labor, land values and other inputs. Secondary data was obtained from government and other relevant agencies. To analyze data we use investment criteria namely, NPV (Net Present Value), IRR (Internal Rate of Return), Net B/C (Net Benefit Cost Ratio) and sensitivity analysis. The results showed the value of NPV, Net B/C and IRR are Rp 298,163,463, 2.46 and 26.12% subsequently. The average income of rubber farmers is Rp 993,878 per month. Sensitivity analysis of this research is also done in three aspects: the 5% changes of production level, 40% change of output prices and 10% changes of input prices. The results of these three simulations show that value of NPV decrease only about 2.24%, 47.96% and 1.90% subsequently, while IRR is greater than the discount factor of 12% and the value of Net B/C > 1. Weconclude that the rubber plantation cultivation still worthy because it still able to provide the level of welfare for self-rubber farmers in Pulau Jambu Village, Kuok distict . Abstract

The purposes of this research are to analyze net income, efficiency and BEP (Break Even Point) of agro-industrial business of Aloe vera of Duta Purnama and to draft the development strategy that can be applied to this agro-industrial business. The data used in this research are primary data and secondary data. The data analysis method used in this research are basic business analysis by counting the income, profit, efficiency (RCR), BEP unit, BEP income, SWOT analysis and AHP (analytic hierarchy process). Seen from the value of profit, Duta Purnama, the agro-industrial business, has a very promising prospect.  It can be known from the result of the research that the RCR values of Nata De Aloe and Duta Purnama’s cracker business are respectively 1.86 and 1.43. The first main strategy and can be applied to develop the business by using AHP is maintaining the competitive price of products.   Keywords: Income, Efficiency (RCR), Strategy, SWOT Analysis and AHP.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the distribution of household consumption expenditure, household wealth and household consumption expenditure comparison of ex- UPP TCSDP rubber farmers and Independent Smallholder in Koto Damai  village, midle-left of Kampar district Kampar regency. The research was conducted by survey method. Data were collected 30 samples of rubber farmers ex UPP TCSDP by using purposive sampling method and 20 samples ofindependently smallholderby using census method. The results showed that total household consumption expenditure ex UPP TCSDP rubber farmers was Rp 2,421,982 / RT / Month and the total household consumption expenditure independent smallholder amounted to Rp 1,637,013/Rt/Month. Household welfare ex UPP TCSDP rubber farmers and independent smallholderon approach of using proverty line including not poor category because household income in a month is above the poverty line of Kampar Regency 336.681. Based on 14 indicators of the fulfillment of the basic needs, 100 percent ex UPP TCSDP rubber farmers is  prosperous and 95 percent independent smallholder  in the category prosperous meets 1-3 indicators are in bad conditionand 5 percent in almost prosperous category meets 4-8 indicator bad condition.The results also show that there are differences in household consumption expenditure ex UPP TCSDPrubber farmers and independent smallholder because t count equal to 2,515 bigger than t table of 2.011. Keywords : rubber farmers, consumption expenditure, welfare

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know and analyse : 1) Channel, margin, marketing eficiency and farmer income; 2) Correlation between bokar payment from factory with price to farmer 3) Price influence (price transmission elasticity) bokar at factory level and price at farmer level 4) Market structure. This research using survey method. Doing sampling by purposive sampling on 20 rubber farmer with life plant around 15-25 years old. Doing sampling on seller and factory by using snowball sampling method with follow it’s marketing channel. The result at Gobah Village Tambang District kampar Regency there is on marketing channel (homogen). Farmer to the seller and the seller to factory. The lowest price at farmer level Rp.5.550 /kg, the highest price at farmer level Rp. 9.400/kg, the lowest price at factory level Rp. 7.025/kg, the highest price at factory level Rp. 10.925/kg. Farmer income marketing margin  which price payed by factory to the seller since Febuari 2014-Januari 2015 around Rp.1,58,33 and farmer income around 75.25% marketing efficiency around 16.88%. Correlation value at farmer level and price at factory level 0,924%. Price transmission elasticity at farmer level and at factory level around 0.850%. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the export position of unprocessed product by Indonesia agricultural in ASEAN countries and competitiveness exports of unprocessed product of agricultural in ASEAN countries for the main destination countries. In this research the data used is secondary data, that is the time series data during 10 years in period 2005-2014. The analysis method used is Constant Market Share (CMS). The export position of unprocessed product by Indonesia agricultural is highest value in ASEAN. The next position is Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore and Philippines. For the abilty of competitiveness, the highest position is Thailand. At the same time the next position is Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore. For the results of CMS analysis during period 2005-2014 based on four effects is shows the effect of influenced the competitiveness of agricultural unprocessed products are the effect of standard growth. Keywords: Agricultural unprocessed products, Competitiveness, Constant Market
