Abstract

Background: Surgery in the prone position has been associated with various complications such as facial edema, pressure ulcers, and eye problems.  It is important to prevent complications during prone position with head support. Modification of water cushions made from gloves to protect the facial area is often done, but needs to be considered between the benefits and risks to patient safety.Case: A 29 year old woman with a tumor of the occipital region. The patient underwent tumor removal surgery in a prone position for +/- 9 hours. During the operation, the patient uses water cushions from the glove that are placed on the forehead and two sides of the eye. The cushion burst during positioning and in the middle of the operation a water cushion fell. After surgery, the patient complained of blurred vision and facial swelling for 2-3 days. Conclusion: The cushion modification of gloves has the benefit of protecting the bony prominences of the face. Apart from that, the risks of using this modification need to be taken into account, such as the risk of contamination, risk of injury if the placement is uncorrect, and injury also can arise if the cushions shifts or falls due to poor fixation. The modifications can be improved by replacing the gloves used, the water used, and the level of elasticity of the cushion. They can also use head supports that have been proven effective and improve intraoperative monitoring.

Abstract

The Law of Torah states that the nature of man is a creature of the Creator of the universe who is Spirit. When God created man, Adam, He formed him from the dust of the ground. When God breathed His Spirit into the newly formed man, he became alive, physically, mentally and spiritually. Worship of God is a logical consequence of man because of creation. The purpose of the anointing is so that worshipers are adapted to the nature of the Most Holy God. Thus they are pleasing to God. The reason is, man has fallen into sin. Sin separates him from the presence of the Most Holy God. The curse and hardship of life make man aware that he needs God in his life. The problem is, man with his own efforts from his own ideas will not be pleasing and able to approach God. Sin does not allow man to approach the holy God. This study uses a qualitative method in order to describe and to gain an understanding of the values and qualities of the anointing in the Law of Torah.

Abstract

This research discusses the interaction between prayer and technology in enhancing the effectiveness of theological education in the digital age. The key issues addressed in this study include the challenges of traditional theological education, the impact of technology on the teaching and learning process, and the importance of integrating spiritual practices within a digital context. The aim of this research is to explore how prayer can be integrated with technology to create a deeper and more effective learning experience. The research method used is qualitative, involving interviews with theological educators, as well as content analysis from various digital educational platforms. The state of the art in this research indicates that while technology has transformed the way education is delivered, many theological education institutions still have not optimized the potential for integrating prayer into the learning process. The novelty of this research lies in its emphasis on the relationship between spiritual practices and the use of technology, which can enhance student engagement and understanding. The findings suggest that the combination of prayer and technology can create a more interactive and supportive learning environment, as well as increase student motivation and retention in theological education. This research is expected to provide insights for theological educators in utilizing technology more effectively while maintaining the spiritual aspects of teaching.

Abstract

This study explores the role of transformational leadership within the context of Christian Religious Education, emphasizing its ethical foundation and implications for shaping the future of humanity. In an era marked by moral ambiguity, rapid technological progress, and declining spiritual values, Christian education faces the urgent challenge of cultivating ethical character, spiritual maturity, and social responsibility. The problem addressed in this research is the gap between leadership practices in Christian educational settings and the transformative outcomes expected in students’ moral and spiritual development. The objective of this study is to analyze how transformational leadership can be effectively applied to Christian Religious Education to foster ethical behavior and visionary thinking. Using a qualitative descriptive method supported by literature analysis and interviews with Christian educators and leaders, this research identifies core principles and strategies that align biblical teachings with transformational leadership theory. The findings reveal that transformational leaders who model Christ-centered values, inspire through vision, and mentor with compassion significantly impact learners’ ethical formation and worldview. The synthesis of ideas highlights the integration of faith, leadership, and pedagogy as a holistic approach to addressing the ethical and existential challenges of the 21st century. In conclusion, transformational leadership within Christian Religious Education is essential in guiding learners toward a life of purpose, integrity, and contribution to a humane and spiritually grounded society.
