Abstract

Pekon Way Empulau Ulu terletak di kecamatan Balik Bukit Kabupaten Lampung Barat. Pekon ini memiliki potensi alam yang masih terjaga. Selain alam adat istiadat dan kearifan lokal mereka sangat menarik untuk dijadikan atraksi wisata. Konsep ecotourism atau pariwisata berbasis lingkungan sangat cocok untuk diterapkan di desa ini. Selain itu aspek kewirausahaan juga penting untuk disosialisasikan karena kemampuan usaha yangbaik akan membuat dampak pariwisata lebih optimal bagi masyarakat sekitar. Kegiatan yang telah dilaksanakan menunjukkan hasil yang baik dilihat dari meningkatnya pengetahuan masyarakat akan wirausaha khususnya wirausaha berbasis ecotourism.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 telah berjalan dalam kurun waktu 2 tahun dan belum ada tanda-tanda akan berakhir. Pemerintah masih menerapkan Pemberlakukan Pembatasan Kegiatan masyarakat (PPKM) sebagai salah satu cara menekan laju kenaikan orang-orang terpapar Covid-19. Baru saja masyarakat sedikit mendapatkan kelonggoran sebuah varian covid-19 muncul yakni varian omicron dengan tingkat penularan yang lebih cepat dibandingkan dengan varian lain. Melalui media masyarakat mengikuti perkembangan terkini pandemi Covid-19. Terpaan informasi akan membentuk sebuah persepsi masyarakat dan sikap yang ditimbulkan sebagai akibat konsumsi informasi. Perilaku inilah yang menjadi landasan penelitan yakni untuk melihat bagaimana sikap masyarakat dimassa pandemi. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif penelitian ini mencoba untuk mendeskripsikan sikap masyarakat yang terbentuk dari terpaan informasi covid-19.

Abstract

The central government and local governments conducted a series of health communication efforts to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic. However, there is still a behaviour of rejection in the community that is published in the news in mass media, including online media. In public health, including health communication programs, especially in the health belief model, a person’s behaviour to follow or refuse can be influenced by health beliefs. Uncertainty can be an obstacle to behaviour. From a multicultural perspective, beliefs are one of the things that affect public health behaviour. This study tried to uncover the barriers to Covid-19 health communication in multicultural communities in Indonesia using online news content analysis methods on the five most popular news websites in Indonesia, namely okezone.com, tribunnews.com, pikiran-rakyat.com, kompas.com, and detik.com. The results revealed that the top five barriers to health communication were religion (17.2%), survival (12.67%), beliefs that Covid-19 does not exist (9.9%), self-immunity confidence (9.9%), and stigma (9.9%).

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of the community service activity was to improve knowledge and information literacy skills among teenagers in Bandarlampung against hoax on Corona virus in social media. The outbreak of the Corona virus (Covid-19) in the past few months has resulted in widely spread hoaxes and conspiracy theories in the community, including in social media. Indonesia is one of countries with the highest number of social media users in the world, and teenager is a social group that are very active in social media. It suggests that teenagers are vulnerable to hoaxes in social media. It is the reason that this training is very important for them. After participating in this activity, the teenagers became more aware that they need to more critical toward information in social media, they have more understanding about hoax characteristics, and they know how to evaluate information from social media.Keywords: media literacy, information literacy, social mediaABSTRAKTujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan information literacy bagi para remaja dalam melawan hoax tentang virus Corona di media sosial. Merebaknya penyebaran virus Corona (Covid-19) beberapa bulan terakhir telah menyebabkan maraknya hoax dan teori konspirasi dalam masyarakat, termasuk di media sosial. Indonesia merupakan salah satu negara dengan jumlah pengguna media sosial yang tertinggi di dunia, dan remaja merupakan kelompok masyarakat yang sangat aktif di media sosial. Hal itu mengindikasikan bahwa remaja merupakan kelompok yang rentan terhadap hoax di media sosial. Oleh karena itu kegiatan ini sangat penting untuk mengedukasi remaja supaya dapat menangkal hoax di media sosial. Setelah mengikuti kegiatan ini, pengetahuan dan kemampuan para remaja meningkat dalam beberapa hal, antara lain sikap kritis terhadap informasi di media sosial, mereka lebih memahami ciri-ciri hoax, dan cara mengevaluasi informasi di media sosial.Kata kunci: literasi media, literasi informasi, media sosial.

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan rumah bagi beberapa hutan mangrove terbesar di dunia, yang tidak hanya memiliki fungsi ekologis namun juga memberikan manfaat sosio-ekonomi bagi masyarakat lokal. Desa Merak Belantung di Kalianda, Lampung Selatan, mempunyai potensi besar menjadi destinasi ekowisata unggulan karena hutan mangrovenya yang menarik. Namun, potensi tersebut belum sepenuhnya dikelola dengan baik. Disamping fasilitas pendukung yang masih terbilang minim, hutan mangrove Desa Merak Belantung masih kurang dikenal oleh masyarakat luas sebagaimana wisata lain di daerah yang sama. Selama ini media promosi yang digunakan untuk memperkenalkan hutan mangrove cenderung hanya mengandalkan banner yang hanya terpasang di sekitar tempat wisata saja. Selain itu, media sosial maupun website resmi Desa Merak Belantung maupun wisata mangrove tidak ditemukan bila dilacak melalui mesin pencari seperti Google. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, penting untuk dilakukan kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan komunikasi pemasaran dan branding ekowisata hutan mangrove sehingga terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan para peserta. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan bagi peserta yang ditunjukkan dari hasil pre-test dan post-test. Hasil pre-test dan post-test masing-masing menunjukkan nilai rata-rata sebesar sebesar 9,64 dan 11,75 poin yang berarti bahwa terdapat peningkatan kognitif sebesar 2,11 poin yang dimaknai sebagai peningkatan pengetahuan atau kognitif. Peningkatan keterampilan juga ditunjukkan pasca pelatihan berupa simulasi pembuatan konten dan pengenalan fitur-fitur media sosial untuk marketing communication dan branding wisata.

Abstract

Pelatihan literasi pemanfaatan media digital dalam proses parenting pada anak usia dini dirasa sangat perlu untuk dilakukan untuk membekali orang tua dan calon orang tua yang siap menghadapi era digital. Di tengah perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi, perempuan selaku calon orang tua yang cenderung banyak menghabiskan waktu bersama anaknya, perlu dibekali dengan kemampuan digital parenting dan skill komunikasi yang memadai. Hal ini dilakukan untuk memaksimalkan manfaat penggunaan media digital serta meminimalisir dampak negatif dari penggunaan media digital sebagai media parenting. Kota Bandar lampung sebagai ibu kota Provinsi, harusnya dapat menjadi pusat literasi digital parenting. Sebagai salah satu kota dengan tingkat akses internet yang tinggi di Provinsi Lampung, pembekalan dan pelatihan literasi digital terhadap perempuan dan mahasiswi melalui organisasi perempuan KOHATI diharapkan dapat memberikan dampak yang signifikan bagi peningkatan literasi digital parenting bagi anak usia dini. Tujuan utama dari kegiatan ini adalah membuat peserta memiliki pengetahuan dan pemahaman mengenai digital parenting. Khususnya dalam mempersiapkan diri menghadapi kemajuan teknologi yang berdampak secara langsung maupun tidak langsung terhadap perkembangan kognitif, afektif dan psikomotorik anak usia dini. Metode yang akan diberikan yaitu Pre-Test, Sosialisasi dan Post-Test, yang akan dilanjutkan dengan pembimbingan dalam bentuk diskusi bersama ahli dan masyarakat. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi, didapatkan efektivitas kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan pemaparan 3 materi tentang Media digital sebagai peluang dan ancaman dalam parenting di era digitalisasi, strategi komunikasi efektif dalam menghadapi anak usia dini di era digitalisasi, dan kiat bijak pemanfaatan media digital dalam digital parenting pada anak usia dini. Pemaparan ketiga materi diatas yang merupakan penjabaran dari 3 indikator pencapaian peningkatan pengetahuan, pemahaman dan kemampuan dalam digital parenting dinilai mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan.

Abstract

The herbs used by the community are still identical to ancestral heritage, unhygienic and impractical jamu gendong. Herbs are not yet considered part of the prophet's ittiba. The purpose of this research is to find out how the digital integrated marketing strategy in branding Indonesian herbs by CV Naturonal Mediatama Indonesia. This research was conducted with observation and documentation studies on digital media used for branding herbal products of CV Naturonal Indonesia. The conclusion of the research shows that digital media is used massively and integrated as a means of branding Indonesian herbal products. The branding image of Indonesian herbs to be built is: herbs as a treatment ala tibbun nabawi / prophetic medicine (treatment ala prophet Muhammad SAW), which is rational, scientific, standardized sanadnya, easy and practical use, not inferior to chemical drugs.

Abstract

The Human Development Index (HDI) in Lampung Province has increased from 70.45 in 2022 to 71.15 in 2023. However, Lampung's HDI is still the lowest in Sumatra. One of the factors causing this is the low Average Length of School (RLS) which is only 8.29 years, the second lowest in Sumatra. The low RLS is due to the low public interest in higher education. Economic factors and lack of understanding of the importance of higher education are the main causes. The Service Team from the Department of Communication Sciences then provides education, motivation, and mentoring to parents and high school students in Lampung to increase their interest in higher education with scholarships. Effective persuasive communication strategies are used to change people's perceptions of the cost of higher education and open up their insights into available scholarship opportunities. Before the training began, a pre-test was conducted to measure the level of participants' initial understanding of higher education and scholarships. The results of the pre-test showed that most participants had a limited understanding of higher education opportunities and accessible scholarship resources. After a series of training sessions that included educational, motivational, and mentoring sessions with a persuasive communication approach, a post-test was conducted to measure the impact of the activity. The results of the post-test showed a significant improvement. In addition to increasing knowledge, the participants also revealed a change in attitudes towards higher education. Parents, who had previously been worried about the cost of education, showed greater interest in supporting their children to pursue higher education through the scholarship pathway. The students who took part in the training also showed greater enthusiasm and motivation to continue their education. Overall, this service activity has proven successful in achieving its goal, which is to increase public awareness and interest, especially in Lampung Province, to continue higher education through scholarships.

Abstract

The massive infrastructure development program during president Jokowi's administration will always produce a variety of different perceptions in the public area. Public perception will be built differently and form the image of the government in the scope of the implementation of the program and can be the material of preparing a government communication plan to the public. Research objectives in this article; Analyze the dynamics of the government's image in the topic of infrastructure development on social and non-media sosial. More specifically, several points of purpose are to be achieved as follows: (a). The amount of discussion volume on the topic of infrastructure development, (b). The dominant parties discuss and respond to the topic of infrastructure development, (c). Dynamics of public sentiment in discussions with the topic of infrastructure development. The research method is done with media monitoring analysis that starts with a search profile and searches for terms or keywords. Furthermore, data mining using the Brand24 Media Monitoring application using the keywords Infrastructure Development and Infrastructure Projects. The data mining process is carried out in a span of 90 days, from Aug 16, 2021 to Nov 14, 2021. Data analysis is done simultaneously with the Brand24 and Microsoft Excel applications for data rechecking and confirmation of the data to be analyzed. The results of the analysis concluded; On the topic of infrastructure development, the volume of mentions was obtained by 13 thousand times, of which the most dominant media was non-media sosial with the composition of news agencies (5433) and the web (4435), while the media sosial area represented by several applications, forums, blogs, videos youtube) and podcasts had a smaller portion of the topic.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the sentiment of comments on YouTube videos discussing the movie Dirty Vote, which are divided into positive, negative, and neutral categories. Research methodology: The method used is quantitative descriptive, namely content/text analysis of the number of comments and sentiment analysis of comments on the YouTube video content of Dirty Vote uploaded to the Dirty Vote YouTube channel. Results: Results: Based on sentiment analysis of 32,209 comments on the Dirty Vote movie uploaded to YouTube between February 11 and 13, 2024, the sentiment distribution indicates a strong dominance of negative sentiment, with 18,978 comments (59%). This suggests that the movie triggered substantial criticism or strong emotional reactions from viewers. Positive sentiment reached 9,676 comments (30%), reflecting appreciations for the movie’s content, message, or relevance to political discourse. Meanwhile, 3,555 comments (11%) were categorized as neutral, generally consisting of descriptive statements, clarifications, or non-emotive responses. Conclusions: The analysis of 32,209 YouTube comments on Dirty Vote shows dominant negative sentiment (59%), followed by positive (30%) and neutral (11%). This suggests the film strongly impacts audiences, generating both criticism and political awareness, and highlighting how political documentaries can spark debate and polarization. Limitations: References related to sentiment analysis on social media in the perspective of political communication studies are still quite limited and lack depth. Contribution: Enriching the body of research on political communication on social media, particularly YouTube, by using sentiment analysis methods through the BERT model.
