Abstract

This public service activity aims to enhance the knowledge and to elevate the skill of related civilian servant officers. The activity also targets the society public figure, especially in the terms of public speaking,  in order to improve the quality of public service. In its broader scope, the research is hoped to provide positive support for those entities, particulary for their self development in reaching a better career opportunity.  The activity‟s subjects are civiliant servant officers and society public figure at Taman Bogo Village, Purbolinggo District, East Lampung Regency. This activity was held in form of speech, discussion and limited practice. It was followed by 24 people consist of 3 civiliant servant officers from surrounding villages and districts while the rest were the society public figures such as head of village, religious and youth leaders.  The public service activity results show that there are considerable enhancement regarding the knowlegde of public speaking. This can be seen from the post test results as well as discussion during the activity. The same condition also applies for the participants‟ positive respond and motivation.   Keywords: Public Speaking, Skill

Abstract

The objective of this paper are to examine the long run effects of tourism receipt and national real product domestic bruto on the employment in Indonesia and the causality relationship among those variables in a multivariate model using annual data spanning 1980-2011. To test the unit root, we employed ADF and PP tests. To test cointegration we used Johansen dan Joselius model (1990) and to test the direction of the causality relationship we used Ngranger causality with VECM or Wald Block Exogeneity test. The empirical findings show that the long run equilibrium exists among those variabels and there are unsensitive elasticities between tourism receipt and national real product domestic bruto on the employment. National real product domestic brutto had Ngranger causality on the employment with bidirectional causality, while tourism receipt had Ngranger causality on employment with unidirectional causality.

Abstract

AbstrakMaterial J4 sering diaplikasikan sebagai pengganti baja tahan karat karena harganya lebihmurah dan pada kasus tertentu harus disambung dengan baja karbon. Material J4 dan baja karbon mempunyai perbedaan sifat fisik, mekanik, termal dan metalurgi sehingga karakteristik sambungan las antara keduanya perlu diteliti. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh jenis filler dan arus listrik las Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) terhadap sifat fisik mekanik sambungan las J4 dengan baja karbon rendah. J4 disambung dengan baja karbon rendah (ST 37) masing-masing dengan tebal 1,8 mm, menggunakan las GMAW dengan variasi filler ER309 L dan ER70S, dan arus pengelasan 60A dan 80A. Hasil sambungan dikarakterisasi dengan pengujian tarik, kekerasan, dan struktur mikro. Pengujian tarik menggunakan standar JIS Z2202. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sambungan las dengan filler ER 309 L dan menggunakan arus sebesar 80 A mempunyai kekuatan tarik tertinggi yaitu 314,58 MPa, sedangkan sambungan las dengan filler ER 70 S dan menggunakan arus sebesar 60 A mempunyai kekuatan tarik terendah yaitu 281,83 MPa. Pada daerah HAZ baja karbon dan J4 mengalami perubahan struktur mikro yang signifikan dan peningkatan nilai kekerasan dari masing-masing base metal.Kata kunci: sambungan las logam tak sejenis, J4, uji tarik,baja karbon rendah, GMAW.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui strategi komunikasi persuasif yang dilakukan oleh Agen Asuransi PT. Prudential Life Assurance Bandar Lampung dalam melakukan perekrutan agen baru.Penelitian ini merupakan tipe penelitian deskriptif kualitatif.Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dengan wawancara dan dokumentasi.Hasil dari penelitian menunjukan dalam upaya rekrutmen agen asuransi baru dibutuhkan beberapa tahapan. Tahapan-tahapan tersebut dapat dilakukan dengan beberapa teknik yang ada di dalam komunikasi persuasif seperti mengemas pesan dengan sebaik mungkin, mengiming-imingi komunikan dengan reward dan melakukan komunikasi dengan membangun derajat homofili. Sesuai dengan teori yang di gunakan aspek yang harus di perhatikan yaitu bagaimana menumbukan perhatian, menumbuhkan daya tarik, menimbulkan hasrat, memunculkan keputusan hingga tercapainya tujuan yaitu terekrutnya agen baru. Abstract

Seno Darmanto, Windu Sediono, Sarwoko, Triyatno, in this paper explain that making of callophylum inophylum biodiesel fuel is done alkaly transesterification methode. Alkaly transesterification methode use methanol and basa (NaOH) of catalist. Procedur and setting of research that is consisted in material selection, treatment and setting of composition of methanol and catalist, operational temperature, reaction time, speed and mixer technical will effect quality and conversion level of callophylum inophylum biodiesel. And based data analyzer show that conversion of callophylum inophylum biodiesel can reach 90%. Properties of callophylum inophylum biodiesel show viscosity and flash point of callophylum inophylum biodiesel is ligthly higher than diesel fuel. And caloric value of callophylum inophylum biodiesel is slightly lower than diesel fuel. Key words: callophylum inophylum, biodiesel, properties, transesterification.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to determine the effect of health education with illustrated quiz media on first aid knowledge in vocational high school students. Methods: This study uses a type of quantitative research using a Pre-experimental design with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest design approach. Pre-experimental design with One-Group Pretest-Posttest design approach.  Results: This study used a sample of 75 respondents in grade 11. Method of collecting burn first aid knowledge data was collected by picture quiz. Based on wilcoxon test, statistically significant increase in knowledge of P-value = 0.00 <0,05. The mean pre-test was 6.29 and post-test was 9.00. Conclusion: There is an effect of health education with illustrated quiz media on the knowledge of first aid for burns in vocational high school students.

Abstract

The ship's service speed performance is prioritized in a ship's propulsion system planning. Motor Vessel. KENDHANGA NUSANTARA 6 is a type of containerized cargo ship built to support the sea toll program in the Tanjung Emas port area, Semarang. The less significant propeller pitch affects the ship's ability to move. The experiment was carried out by operating the machine with maximum capability. The phenomenon of the geometric shape of the propeller provides information on the rotation results and the distribution of the working forces. The structure of the propeller design describes the ability and level of effectiveness when the propeller is submerged in water. The results of this study show that the optimization value of the right propeller pitch is 0.6%, the pitch width is 1660 mm, and the optimization value of the left propeller pitch is 1.2% with a pitch width of 1670 mm; this value can make the ship's rate speed during the docking trial 12.3 knots, following the planned speed.

Abstract

Potensi, peluang dan keunggulan-keunggulan desa Banaran belum mampu menggerakkan ekonomi kerakyatan secara maksimal. Beberapa potensi dan keunggulan lain desa Banaran Cepogo Boyolali meliputi pertanian dataran tinggi, peninggalan sejarah, seni dan budaya, pemandangan alam, waduk/embung dan potensi jasa juga belum digarap secara terintegrasi. Realisasi kegiatan pengabdian di mitra Pokdarwis pada prinsipnya dilakukan dengan penguatan industri ukir tembaga dan wisata sekitar embung. Pengembangan wisata di sekitar embung diprioritaskan penanaman tanaman hias dan buah. Tanaman pucuk merah dan buah terutama mangga merupakan tanaman yang mudah ditanam dan berkhasiat cukup banyak di bidang kesehatan
