Abstract

This article aims to examine the educational thought of Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal, a prominent figure in Islamic history known as a hadith scholar and founder of the Hanbali school of thought. Although better known in the fields of hadith and fiqh, the educational aspect of his thought is often overlooked. This study uses a qualitative approach by analyzing literature related to the educational values of monotheism taught by Imam Ahmad. The analysis shows that monotheism education, according to Imam Ahmad, is a process of instilling belief in the oneness of Allah SWT, which must begin at an early age. The three main values of Imam Ahmad's monotheism education encompass a Muslim's behavior in relation to Allah, oneself, and fellow human beings. This emphasis on monotheism education reflects Imam Ahmad's commitment to the pure teachings of Islam and the importance of educating the younger generation on a strong foundation of faith. Abstract

Islamic education faces the challenge of integrating Islamic values into a modern context, particularly regarding the obligation to seek knowledge and the ethics of imparting it. This study aims to analyze the Hadith of Ibn Majah No. 220 in the context of education, focusing on the implications of this teaching for contemporary educational practices. The method used is a qualitative approach, through analysis of the Hadith text and interviews with educators. The results show that this Hadith emphasizes the importance of the obligation to seek knowledge as a foundation for education, while also highlighting the role of ethics in imparting knowledge. These findings have significant implications for the development of values-based educational curricula and ethics training for educators, and encourage further research to examine the application of this teaching in broader contexts. Thus, this study contributes to the development of a more responsive and ethical Islamic education.

Abstract

This article explores the role of pharmacists as ethical and legal mediators within pluralistic legal systems in Indonesia. Informed by the theory of Konstitusi Nusantara (Nusantara Constitution), this study frames the pharmacist not merely as a medical professional but as a guardian of balance between local customs and national regulations. Using a qualitative normative-juridical method and interdisciplinary analysis across pharmaceutical sciences, constitutional law, and health anthropology, this research draws from literature and regional practices in Papua, Kalimantan, and Nusa Tenggara. Findings show that pharmacists often navigate overlapping norms professional codes, state law, and local customary systems especially when working within indigenous communities. Their unique position enables them to build culturally respectful communication, advocate for the safe use of traditional remedies, and promote ethical healthcare grounded in local wisdom. The study calls for curricular reform in pharmacy education that integrates local legal-cultural knowledge and for policies that institutionalize collaboration between pharmacists and customary authorities. This research provides conceptual and practical insights for building inclusive, locally rooted healthcare governance in Indonesia. Keywords: Pharmacist, Local wisdom, Legal pluralism, Indigenous health
