Abstract

Abstract.The research purpose are knowing process and result of development of mathematics learning materials by CTL ( Contextual Teaching and Learning) and problem solving with Polya Method. This research was held in SMPN 10 Jember at seventh grade. The topic of this research is resolving problem related to quadrilateral. The research has product namely Lesson Plan, worksheet, and evaluation test.The development of this learning materials refers to Plomp model which has 5 phases. They are phases of preliminary investigation; phase of design; phase of realization or contruction; phase of test, evaluation and revision; and phase of implementation.The learning material is said good if it satisfies 3 criterias. Abstract

Abstract.The goal of this research aims to know the process and the result of developmental Realistic Mathematics Educatioan Instruments by think pair share setting for square and rectangle topics at seven grade junior high school. Learning instrument development model refers to four D models. The products of this research are lesson plan, student book, worksheet, and evaluation test. The products refer to the characteristic of Realistic Mathematics Education and phases of Think Pair Share. Based on the validation process try out of learning instruments, it can be concluded that the learning instrumets have satisfied of the validity, practice, and effective criteria. Abstract

Abstract. Generally, mathematics learning in the school still concentrates on the teachers, so that the students become passive in the learning process. Besides that, the students also never get a problem which is done as a group work. This matter cause the students become passive and only listen about the teacher’s explanation. That matter also makes the students become bored, get difficulties in studying Mathematics and give impact on the student’s bad result. Because of that, a resolution is needed to make a better learning process by applying the elaboration learning method on parallelogram and rhombus chapter to increase the study result of the students of VIIB class in SMP Negeri 1 Jatibantengacademic year 2012/2013. Elaboration method is started from presentation of epitome or a framework of that contains and the last is giving the conclusion which has a function to combine some concepts. Based on the result of the research, the application of elaboration learning method is effective to increase the study result of the students in parallelogram and rhombus chapter. We can see it from the student’s study result, that is from 55% to 87.5%. Key Words:Elaboration model, students’ activity, student learning achievement

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to know how the process and the result of developing mathematics learning materials onCORE model (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending) with contextual Approach of opportunities topic at grade XI senior high school. This study developes lesson plan,worksheet, evaluation test, and Studentbooks. The development mathematics learning materials standardized CORE model with contextual approach. This development model refers to 4-D Thiagarajan and Sammel & Samel models. This four steps are defining step, designing step, developing step, and disseminating step. The product of learning materials development standardized by CORE model with contextual approachforopportunitiestopic has fulfilled the validation criteria, practicability, and effectiveness. Abstract

Abstract.The purpose of this research are 1) to describe implementation a learning model cooperative NHT with Portofolio Assesment 2) to increase result of mathematic study and student’s activity to the students of class VIIIB. Cooperative NHT with Portofolio Assesment steps consist of 1) prepared, 2) numbering, 3) Questioning and head together, 4) Answering, 5) Making a conclusion dan 6) give a reward. Type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) and the study design used was a model spiral Hopkins, study research design were consists of 4 phases include planning, action, observation and evaluation then reflecting. The object of the research is grade VIIIB students of SMP Negeri 1 Jenggawah and material chosen was Surface Area and volume of Polyhedral. The data collection methods used in this research was observation, test, interview and documentation. From the observation result, in the first class, completeness the student learning outcomes classically is 16,13%. And the second cycle, completeness the student learning outcomes classically is 83,33%. So, from the observation result, teaching and learning process pertained to the active criteria and increased from cycle 1 to cycle 2. Abstract

Abstract.Problem solving abilityshould be trainedandtaughtbyteacher to a vocational studentwhois preparedtoplungeintothe world of work. One effortto trainstudentsproblem solving abilityisPolya’smodel. Polyamodelconsistsoffour stages:understanding theproblem, makingthe completion ofthe plan, implementthe plan, andre-examine. The purposeof this study is todetermine the problem solving ability of SMK IbuPakusari’s multimedia studentson the subject oflinear program. Data collection methodusedis the method oftesting, interviews, anddocumentation. From the researchit can be concludedthat the percentage of students in problem solving ability is high, medium, low on stage to understand the problem is75%, 12,5%, 12,5%. For the percentage of students on stage the completion ofthe plan is 40,63%, 18,75% ,40,62%. On stage implementthe plan is 46,87%, 18,75%, 34,38%. As for the re-examine is 37,5%, 34,38%, 28,12%. Abstract

Abstract.The research aims to know process and result of developing of mathematics learning intruments based on Problem Based Instruction and assisted pop up comic for cube and cuboid topic at eighth grade of junior high school. The research development modle refers to 4D Thiagarajan models. The subject of research is students of VIIIG class SMPN 4 Jember in even semester academic year 2012-2013. The data of research are obtained by validation sheet, observation sheet of teacher and students activities, questionnaire, and evaluation test.The product of this research are lesson plan, student handbook, worksheet, evaluation test, and pop up comic.The validity of those product consecutively are 0,77; 0,81; 0,83; 0,81; 0,80. The average percentage of teacher activity is 90%, student activity is 90,7%, and student respond regarding learning tools is 81,8%.The result shows that the learning instruments qualifies validity, practical, and effective criteria. The worksheetconsistsoffiveprocess standards, namelyproblem solving, reasoningandproof, communication, connections, andrepresentation. All productsobtainedin this research have satisfied validity, practicality and effective criteria. Their scores are respectively4.33forvalidity, 89.55% forpracticality, 88 % foreffectiveness. It can be concluded that those products can be used as mathematics learning material in a class.
