Abstract

The Indian calendar is a complex calendar. The variety of calendars in several regions also adds to its own uniqueness. There are calendars that use the sun as a reference, some use the sun and the moon. This paper discusses the development of the Indian calendar from the earliest times to the present. The method used in this research is qualitative and includes library research. The results obtained are that the Indian calendar has developed and has changed. The Indian calendar is divided into two namely, solar and luni-solar. The luni-solar calendar is further divided into two, namely the amanta and purimanta. The Indian calendar, which uses solar calculations, is divided into two, namely the Sayana year (used by the Indian National Calendar) and the Nirayana Year (used on a zonal basis in certain regions such as the Tamil, Orissa, Malayali, and Bengal calendars).

Abstract

The determination of prayer times initially only used the direct observation method (rukyat) namely observing the shadow of an object, then the determination of prayer times developed with the advent of the calculation method (hisab). The purpose of this study is to make a simulation of the calculation of prayer times using a spreadsheet. A simulation of the calculation of prayer times using a spreadsheet has been made. The prayer times generated by the spreadsheet are not much different from the prayer times obtained from the Accurate Times application. The simulation that has been made can show the effect of the Earth's revolution at prayer times at various latitudes.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the partial and simultaneous influence of product quality, pricing, and promotion on sales improvement at a Pre-Employment Training institution in Bangka Belitung. It also seeks to identify the most dominant factor affecting the sales increase of the Pre-Employment Program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Bangka Belitung. This quantitative research employed a sample of 50 participants who successfully enrolled in the program. Data collection methods included questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The study utilized validity and reliability tests, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing through t-tests, F-tests, and multiple determination coefficients (R²). The findings indicate that product quality, pricing, and promotion significantly influence sales improvement. The regression analysis revealed that 75% of sales variations are explained by the proposed model, demonstrating its effectiveness and relevance. Recommendations include focusing on strengthening promotion through social media and leveraging alumni testimonials to attract more participants.

Abstract

The urgency of this research is based on data from the Pangkalpinang City Population and Civil Registration Service in 2020, the population reached 218,569 people and continued to grow to 232,915 people in 2023. The importance of monitoring vegetation density in the context of green economic growth, which requires careful evaluation of the balance between economic development and environmental conservation. With rapid urban growth, the Pangkalpinang city government requires a variety of approaches to accurately predict vegetation density. By identifying the factors that affect land vegetation density, this study aims to develop a machine learning model that can predict land vegetation density conditions over a certain period of time in the future. This research method involves collecting spatial vegetation density data over a period of 11 years using remote sensing technology or remote monitoring, such as satellite imagery. Furthermore, time series data will be analyzed and modeled using machine learning techniques, focusing on algorithms that can overcome the spatial and temporal dynamics of vegetation density. Machine learning algorithms, especially time series algorithms such as Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) will be used to build a spatial prediction model for vegetation density. The results of this study indicate that the use of ARIMA is able to produce an accurate prediction model in projecting vegetation density in Pangkalpinang City. The ARIMA model shows strong performance with low error metrics, indicating its effectiveness in making accurate predictions for the given data set. The results of this study are expected to provide valuable information for the Pangkalpinang city government in making decisions related to environmental management and green economic development. By involving collaboration between researchers with three complementary expertise including computer science, civil engineering and natural resource conservation and policy makers.

Abstract

Pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) di tingkat sekolah dasar kerap menemui hambatan karena banyak konsep bersifat abstrak, materi tata surya, yang sulit dipahami apabila hanya disampaikan melalui bacaan atau gambar statis. Hal ini berimplikasi pada rendahnya penguasaan konsep sekaligus menurunnya minat belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan pemanfaatan Augmented Reality (AR) sebagai media digital interaktif dalam pembelajaran tata surya serta menelaah dampaknya terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan mixed-method dengan rancangan studi kasus eksploratif. Subjek penelitian adalah satu kelas siswa sekolah dasar yang ditentukan secara purposif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, serta tes hasil belajar berupa pre-test dan post-test. Analisis data kualitatif dilakukan dengan teknik analisis tematik, sedangkan data kuantitatif dianalisis melalui uji normalitas dan paired sample t-test guna mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar sebelum dan sesudah penggunaan AR. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa AR dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa, mempermudah pemahaman konsep tata surya, serta menghadirkan pengalaman belajar yang lebih menyenangkan. Guru merasakan kemudahan dalam penyampaian materi, sementara siswa memperlihatkan antusiasme tinggi dan pemahaman yang lebih baik setelah pembelajaran dengan AR. Hasil analisis statistik mendukung temuan kualitatif dengan menunjukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan antara nilai sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran berbasis AR. AR terbukti efektif digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran IPA di sekolah dasar karena mampu mengatasi keterbatasan metode tradisional sekaligus relevan dengan tuntutan pembelajaran abad ke-21. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh beban tekan pada respons struktural bangunan beton dengan memanfaatkan data yang diperoleh dari aplikasi SAP2000. Fokus penelitian adalah pada kolom bangunan dari PT DAEMYUNG. Beberapa besaran seperti gaya aksial (V2), gaya geser (V3), temperatur (T), momen lentur (M2), dan momen torsi (M3) dipilih sebagai fitur-fitur yang mempengaruhi respons struktural. Metode analisis yang digunakan melibatkan regresi linier dan XGBoost, serta penyetelan parameter untuk model XGBoost. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan Mean Squared Error (MSE) dan R-squared untuk mengukur akurasi model. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model XGBoost, terutama setelah penyetelan parameter, memberikan akurasi yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan regresi linier. R-squared (Best XGBoost) mencapai 0.9945, menunjukkan kemampuan model dalam menggambarkan hubungan antara beban tekan dan respons struktural. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi pada pemahaman mendalam tentang interaksi beban tekan dan respons struktural, dengan potensi aplikasi pada perencanaan dan desain struktural yang lebih efisien. Selain itu, model prediktif yang dikembangkan dapat menjadi alat yang berguna untuk proyeksi respons struktural pada kondisi beban tekan yang berbeda.

Abstract

Shot put learning in elementary schools is an integral part of Physical Education that plays an important role in developing basic motor skills, physical strength, and students’ character. However, in practice, shot put learning still faces various challenges, including low student motivation, limited learning media, the dominance of conventional teaching methods, and the lack of integration of local cultural contexts. These conditions make learning less meaningful and difficult for students to understand. This study aimed to identify the problems of shot put learning in elementary schools and to analyze the potential use of Augmented Reality based on local culture as an innovative solution in Physical Education learning. This research employed a descriptive approach using quantitative methods supported by qualitative data obtained from questionnaires, observations, skill tests, and interviews with physical education teachers and students. The findings indicated that shot put learning was still dominated by conventional media, which limited clear and engaging visualization of movement techniques. In addition, local cultural elements had not been optimally integrated into the learning process. The use of Augmented Reality based on local culture has strong potential to enhance learning quality through interactive, contextual, and easily understood three-dimensional movement visualization. This media is also expected to increase students’ learning motivation, active participation, and comprehensive understanding of basic shot put techniques. Therefore, the development of local culture-based Augmented Reality is recommended as a relevant and innovative learning media to support meaningful and contextual Physical Education learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

The implementation of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at the elementary school level tends to remain oriented toward conventional methods such as lecturing and memorization. This pattern limits students’ opportunities to engage actively, take initiative, and develop creativity and independence in the learning process. In fact, the core purpose of PAI is not merely the transmission of religious knowledge but also the cultivation of character values such as responsibility, independence, and creativity. This study seeks to examine the application of a project-based learning model in PAI as an alternative strategy to foster creativity and independence among elementary school students. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, involving fifth-grade students, PAI teachers, and school principals as primary and supporting informants. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The findings indicate that the implementation of the project-based learning model had a positive impact on enhancing students’ creativity and independence. Their creativity was evident when they engaged in activities such as creating dakwah posters and independently designing worship schedules, where they were given the freedom to plan and express their ideas. Independence was reflected in students’ ability to manage their time, complete tasks responsibly, and reduce reliance on teachers. Moreover, this approach contributed to increasing learning motivation, building self-confidence, and providing more meaningful learning experiences. The project-based PAI learning model can thus be regarded as an educational innovation at the elementary level, as it not only supports academic achievement but also reinforces character development in alignment with the principles of the Merdeka Curriculum.
