Abstract

Kendari City adopts the green city concept; however, urban development has led to population growth and residential expansion, resulting in the degradation of Green Space quantity. In 2024, the population reached 98% of the previous year total, while residential areas expanded by 122.44 ha, reducing the accessibility of public green space. This study aims to evaluate public Green Space spatially through accessibility analysis and user perception. The research employs a qualitative method supported by quantitative data. Data collection techniques include interviews, questionnaires, surveys, observations, and documentation. Respondents were selected using stratified random sampling, targeting individuals aged 18–55 years from each district. Questionnaire data were analyzed using Pearson Chi-square (X²) correlation, while spatial analysis applied the non-parametric bivariate t-test to examine variable relationships. The findings indicate that key factors influencing public green space usage include landscape planning that considers greenery, economic value, culture, aesthetics, safety and health. Connectivity with public facilities and residential areas should be improved through adequate transportation infrastructure. In addition, traffic aspects must be addressed to accommodate working-age groups and recreational purposes. The final evaluation synthesizes spatial and perceptual analyses into landscape planning recommendations to enhance the quality and accessibility of public green space in Kendari City.

Abstract

Greenbelt and green infrastructure are still very limited in Jakarta. Transjakarta Corridor 8 Harmoni - Lebak Bulus covers Central Jakarta, West Jakarta, and South Jakarta which are government centers and densely populated settlements. The high activity in the area causes an increase in transportation flows and greenhouse gas emissions. The transportation sector is the highest contributor to CO2e emissions in the capital city, thus reducing environmental quality, especially the greenbelt in Transjakarta Corridor 8. The assessment of ecological functions in this study consists of 7 variables, namely noise reduction, pollution reduction, air humidity, view control, glare control, direction and accident prevention. The research location is divided into 5 segments with the analysis method used, namely the assessment of ecological function aspects and the formulation of recommendations based on Hierarchical Process Analysis. The results of the assessment on ecological functions with noise-canceling variables were (Polyalthia longifolia) Glodongan Tiang, (Casuarina sp.) Spruce, (Acacia auriculiformis) Acacia, and (Archontophoenix alexandrae) Alexander Palm. The results of the pollution reduction assessment of each segment are dominated by vegetation types (Mangifera indica) Mango, (Polyalthia longifolia) Glodongan Tiang, (Carbera odollam) Bintaro. Based on the results of the questionnaire, the AHP assessment weight was obtained. The combined AHP results show the highest priority scale for the evaluation recommendations of this research is Pollution Reduction as the most important variable with a weight of 0.348, the second rank is Accident Reducer with a weight of 0.300, the third rank is Glare Control with a weight of 0.150. The combined results of 3 experts produce a consistency ratio value of 0.05, the consistency ratio value of 0.05 is smaller than 0.10 so it can be said to have met the consistent requirements. Keywords: analytical hierarchy process, emission, roadside greenbelt

Abstract

Pamegarsari Tourism Village, officially established and inaugurated in October 2021 by the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) alongside the Regent of Bogor Regency, is managed by the Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) with the aim of improving community welfare and Village Original Income (PADes) through community participation. However, the management activities of the tourism village have not been implemented effectively. This is primarily because the BUMDes faces various issues, particularly the perceived low active participation of the community. This lack of participation is suspected to stem from the village's establishment and inauguration being based solely on the natural potential of Situ Lebak Wangi, without adequately considering local community perception and motivation towards future tourism village management. This study aims to analyze the level of community perception, motivation, and participation in the management of Pamegarsari Tourism Village, as well as to analyze the relationship between perception and motivation on community participation. The research employed a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data on community perception, motivation, and participation were gathered from in-depth interviews with 100 purposively selected respondents. This research data was analyzed using a Likert scale measurement and Spearman's rho correlation analysis to test the relationship between perception and motivation on community participation. The study results indicate that community perception is predominantly neutral (54%), with a significant portion also being negative (24%). Community motivation is largely low (74%), and participation is predominantly low (86%). Furthermore, there is a strong and significant relationship between perception and participation (r=0.684; p=0.000), and a very strong and significant relationship between motivation and participation (r=0.882; p=0.000). The predominantly negative perception and low motivation directly correlate with low levels of community participation, showing a negative correlation.
