Abstract

This study aims to find out whether the Rongga language (hereinafter abbreviated as bR) is a vocal language, and the reasons why bR is said to be a vocal language. This study uses a qualitative method. Data was collected using observation methods, field linguistics, literature assisted by elicitation techniques, record keeping, and recording. Data were analyzed qualitatively and presented descriptively. Based on the results of this study it was found that bR is a vocal language. This is based on (1) segmentation the series of letters <mb>, <nd>, <ngg> constitute a sound segment: labial prenasal inhibition [ᵐb], alveolar prenasal inhibition [ⁿd], and velar prenasal inhibition [ᵑg] so that the word -words in bR like <mbalu> are pronounced as [ᵐbalu] 'storm', <ndate> [ⁿdate] 'create', and <nggare> [ᵑgare] 'gali', and are not pronounced as [ǝmbalu], [ǝndate], and [ǝngare]. (2) Based on the canonical pattern of syllables and words, bR has a canonical pattern that always ends in a vowel, and, (3) every word from the Indonesian language that ends in a consonant, both in the middle and final positions of syllables and words when absorbed in bR always conforms to the canonical pattern of bR syllables and words. For example, <pagar> [paɠa].'fence', <adat> [aɗa] 'custom', <easy> [gapa] 'easy'. Thus, the Rongga language is a vocalic language. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah bahasa Rongga (selanjutnya disingkat bR) merupakan bahasa vokalik, dan alasan bR mengapa dikatakan sebagai bahasa vokalik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan metode observasi, linguistik lapangan, kepustakaan dibantu teknik elisitasi, pencatatan, dan perekaman. Data dianalisis secara kualitatif dan disajikan secara deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa ternyata bR merupakan bahasa vokalik. Hal ini didasarkan pada (1) secara segmentasi rangkaian huruf <mb>, <nd>, <ngg> merupakan sebuah segmen bunyi: hambat pranasal labial [ᵐb], hambat pranasal alveolar [ⁿd], dan hambat pranasal velar [ᵑg] sehingga kata-kata dalam bR seperti <mbalu> dilafalkan sebagai [ᵐbalu] ‘badai’, <ndate> [ⁿdate] ‘buat’, dan <nggare> [ᵑgare] ‘gali’, dan tidak dilafalkan sebagai [ǝmbalu], [ǝndate], dan [ǝnggare]. (2) Secara pola kanonik sukukata dan kata, bR mempunyai pola kanonik yang selalu berakhir dengan vokal, dan, (3) setiap kata dari bahasa Indonesia yang berakhir dengan konsonan, baik pada posisi tengah maupun akhir sukukata dan kata ketika terserap dalam bR selalu menyesuaikan diri dengan pola kanonik sukukata dan kata bR. Contohnya <pagar> [paɠa].’pagar’, <adat> [aɗa] ‘adat’, <gampang> [gapa] ‘gampang’. Dengan demikian, bahasa Rongga merupakan bahasa vokalik.

Abstract

This workshop program has been successfully implemented. The indicators of success are shown by the activities, liveliness, and products produced by 25 PAUD teachers in the Tabanan Regency Education Office in the even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. During the activity, the Kindergarten and PAUD teachers as workshop participants looked very enthusiastic about participating in the given workshop activities. This is shown by the many questions raised by kindergarten and PAUD teachers related to the topic of the workshop given. Some important questions raised by kindergarten and PAUD teachers were related to the relevance material workshop provided, namely regarding the STEAM method made from LOOSE PART, as an innovative learning model in learning. Apart from that, in practice during workshops the teacher is also asked to complete the product which will then be evaluated by the resource persons. In this activity, the resource person also conveyed several inputs related to the products that had been produced by each group.

Abstract

Tujuan dan target yang ingin dicapai melalui kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman dan keterampilan kepada masyarakat dalam pembuatan hand sanitizer berbahan dasar alami, seperti daun sirih dan lidah buaya. Dari hasil observasi dan wawancara yang telah dilakukan kepada keluarga Wayan Sukadana, Nengah Warna dan Ni Nengah Madra ditemukanlah permasalahan sebagai berikut; (1) kurangnya pemahaman masyarakat tentang cara pemanfaatan bahan alami, seperti lidah buaya dan daun sirih untuk bahan dasar pembuatan hand sanitizer. (2) masih kurangnya keterampilan masyarakat dalam penggunaan dan pengolahan tanaman lidah buaya dan daun sirih sebagai bahan pembuatan hand sanitizer. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, maka diperlukan solusi, diantaranya (1) mengedukasi dan mengenalkan kadungan-kandungan yang dimiliki oleh tanaman lidah buaya dan daun sirih kepada masyarakat yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk kesehatan dan sebagai bahan pembuatan hand sanitizer. (2) melakukan edukasi kepada masyarakat tentang tata cara pengolahan tanaman lidah buaya dan daun sirih sebagai bahan pembuatan hand sanitizer. Hasil pelaksanaan PkM menujukan adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan dalam memanfaatkan bahan alami, seperti lidah buaya dan daun sirih sebagai bahan dasar pembuatan hand sanitizer. Hal ini dapat dilihat pada peningkatan hasil pre-test dan post-test sebesar 59,09%. Selain itu masyarakat juga telah memiliki keterampilan dalam memproduksi hand sanitizer berbahan dasar alami sebagai salah satu sarana pemutusan mata rantai penyebaran Covid-19.

Abstract

Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan siswa dalam memahami puisi dengan penggunaan metode demonstrasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kelas VII A SMP PGRI 4 Denpasar tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Untuk mengetahui kemampuan siswa, peneliti memberikan tes dengan mendeklamasikan puisi dengan audio visual. Tes ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pemahaman siswa dalam memahami puisi. Untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan siswa tersebut dapat dilihat pada setiap siklus. Pada tes awal nilai rata-rata3,2, siklus I 4,8, siklus II 6,7, dan siklus III 8,4. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan maka perlu ditingkatkan aktifitas dan kreatifitas siswa dalam pembelajaran, sehingga siswa mampu mencapai kompetensi yang diharapkan.

Abstract

Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya minat siswa dalam menganalisis isi puisi. Pembelajaran berbasis masalah (problem-based learning) merupakan pembelajaran yang mengarahkan siswa untuk melakukan suatu pembelajaran dengan lebih aktif. Dalam penelitian terdapat beberapa masalah, tujuan, dan landasan teori ketika mengimplementasikan pembelajaran berbasis masalah (problem-based learning). Ruang lingkup penelitian ini ialah peningkatan kemampuan siswa dalam menganalisis isi puisi melalui pembelajaran berbasis masalah (problem- based learning). Subjek penelitian ini ialah siswa kelas VII D SMP Negeri 9 Denpasar. Dalam mengumpulkan data, peneliti menggunakan metode observasi dan metode tes, sedangkan untuk mengolah data peneliti menggunakan rumus penghitungan rata-rata. Berdasarkan pemaparan tersebut maka simpulan yang diperoleh ialah meningkatnya kemampuan siswa dalam menganalisis isi puisi melalui pembelajaran berbasis masalah (problem- based learning).

Abstract

The objective of this study was to investigate the essay-writing skills of students in Indonesian education institutions. A descriptive study approach was used to collect data from a group of students. Students were given three topics to choose from and were instructed to write academic essays within a certain time range. The student writings were gathered and scored using a scoring rubric that assessed several components of the essays. The data obtained were statistically analysed using descriptive analysis to describe the students’ essay writing skills. According to the findings of this study, the majority of students performed modestly on the writing test, with some performing better than others. The research found that the students struggled with organization and consistency, while their grammar and word usage still required to be improved. The study highlights the importance of enhancing students' writing skills to a higher level

Abstract

This research is a classroom action research (PTK) which aims to 1) test the effectiveness of the brainwriting method in improving the writing skills of exposition texts in class X MM students at SMK Negeri 6 Denpasar; 2) Knowing the steps of the brainwriting method in improving the skills of writing exposition texts in class X MM students at SMK Negeri 6 Denpasar; 3) Knowing the student's response after applying the brainwriting method. Data collection was carried out using observation, tests andquestionnaires. The data that has been obtained was analyzed using a qualitative descriptive technique. The research results obtained showed that after applying the brainwriting method there was an increase in the skills of writing exposition texts in class X MM students at SMK Negeri 6 Denpasar. The improvement in writing skills of exposition texts can be seen from the results of the students' average scores obtained in the first cycle test, which was 74.88 and increased in the second cycle, which was 82.43. The level of application of the brainwriting method has obtained maximum results. The results of the student response questionnaire that the brainwriting method can improve learning achievement. This can be seen from the ability of students who are more confident to express ideas, thoughts and opinions better.

ABSTRAKABSTRACTKeywords: Pruning production, reproductive branches, productive branches, intensivePeningkatan Produksi Kopi Melalui PemangkasanTim Program Kemitraan Wilayah (PKW) Universitas Mahasaraswati Denpasar bekerja sama dengan Lembaga Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat IKIP Saraswati Tabanan telah melakukan pendampingan pemangkasan berat pada tanaman kopi di Desa Batungsel Kabupaten Tabanan. Program ini dimaksudkan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran petani kopi untuk melakukan pemangkasan, karena selama ini petani kopi sangat jarang malahan tidak pernah melakukan pemangkasan pada tanaman kopi karena pengetahuan petani masih keliru terhadap tindakan pemangkasan. Dalam persepsi petani pemangkasan yang dilakukan pada tanaman kopi justru akan mengurangi produksi karena tindakan pemangkasan akan menghilangkan beberapa bagian tanaman yang sebenarnya tidak bermanfaat. Padahal pemangkasan memiliki beberapa keuntungan seperti 1) Mendorong pertumbuhan cabang produktif yang baru; 2) Menentukan jumlah cabang reproduktif yang optimal; 3) Sarana untuk pengontrol produksi; dan 4) Mencegah pertumbuhan cabang liar sehingga memudahkan dalam melakukan pemeliharaan. Melalui kegiatan pendampingan yang dilakukan secara berkelanjutan, akhirnya tim mampu meyakinkan petani tentang manfaat pemangkasan pada tanaman kopi. Kegiatan pendampingan juga dilakukan di Desa Jelijih Punggang dimana desa ini selain merupakan sentra tanaman manggis juga sebagian besar masyarakatnya memiliki tanaman kopi terutama kopi Robusta. Animo masyarakat terhadap pemangkasan akhirnya dapat dirubah dan petani juga diberikan pemahaman agar selalu melakukan pemeliharaan yang intensif terhadap tanaman kopi di lapangan, sehingga produksi kopi di Desa Batungsel dan Desa Jelijih Punggang dapat ditingkatkan.Kata kunci: Pemangkasan produksi, cabang reproduktif, cabang produktif, intensifThis program was conducted at two villages in Pupuan district Tabanan Regency. Those villages have plenty coffee plantation which is very limited technology adoption. This situation impact for the quantity of coffee bean production and also the quantities so far. Pruning is one of effective way to increase coffee production because this activities can drive the plant to grow the new branch especially the productive branches that can be support the new juvenile productive branches. If the weather in comfortable zone, the productive branches will support to produce good quality of coffee beans. Though pruning has several advantages such as 1) encouraging the growth of new productive branches, 2) determining the optimal number of reproductive branches 3) facilities for production control and 4) preventing the growth of wild branches so as to facilitate maintenance. Through ongoing mentoring activities, the team was finally able to convince farmers about the benefits of pruning on coffee plants. Mentoring activities were also carried out in the village of Jelijih Punggang where the village was not only a mangosteen center but also most of the people had coffee plants, especially Robusta coffee. Public interest in pruning can eventually be changed and farmers are also given an understanding to always carry out intensive maintenance of coffee plants in the field, so coffee production in the village of Batungsel and the village of Jelijih Punggang can be increased

Abstract

Cultural and wellness tourism is one of the tourism assets that can be developed to support sustainable tourism. Yoga, meditation, and self-purification are components of Balinese culture that are practised by many Indonesians and foreigners alike. Yoga, meditation, and self-purification activities can be used to promote cultural and wellness tourism to attract domestic and foreign tourists. This research was conducted to determine whether yoga, meditation, and self-purification activities support cultural tourism in Bali. The research method used is a qualitative method where data were collected through interviews and field observations. The data were then analyzed descriptively. This study found that yoga, meditation, and self-purification activities can be used to promote cultural and wellness tourism in Bali. This research has implications that yoga, meditation, and self-purification activities can be designed to be used for sustainable cultural tourism activities and can also be used for attractive promotional media.

Abstract

This research is a descriptive research that aims to gain an understanding of the social and cultural aspects. Data collection uses the method of observation and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed by descriptive qualitative. The social aspect is a major part of human life. In everyday life, every human being carries out social processes on an ongoing basis. As is the case in a story in a literary work, there are various kinds of social aspects including cooperation, competition and conflict. This process occurs in various domains, be it in the realm of friends, family and society. In the cultural aspect, it is an aspect that examines a culture or habits of the people that exist on the surface of the earth such as kinship, love, religion and education. Sociological research on this literary work discusses social and cultural aspects in the novel Suti by Sapardi Djoko Damono. To be able to understand the social and cultural aspects that occur between characters, the researcher analyzes it using the study of sociology of literary works. Researchers can conclude that the novel Suti by Sapardi Djoko Damono describes the social and cultural aspects that intertwine between characters. These social and cultural aspects are not only experienced by Suti as the main character, but also by other figures. The social and cultural aspects found in Suti's novel consist of cooperation, competition, conflict, kinship, love, religion and education.
