Abstract

In generative grammar, particularly within X-bar theory, all syntactic structures are endocentric. This principle dictates that a clause or sentence must be analyzed as an inflectional phrase (IP), with the inflectional category as its head. While this principle has been attested across numerous languages and is considered universal, languages like Javanese exhibit patterns distinct from inflectional systems such as English. This study examines the existence of inflectional phrases in Sasaknese, which have not been discussed yet in any other studies of Sasak language, using data from Sasaknese book collected through observational methods. The analysis confirms that Sasaknese lexicons expressing tense, aspect, and modality belong to inflections and project maximally as an Inflectional Phrase.

Abstract

This research explores how a teacher’s literacy practices, through a digital storytelling project, foster critical thinking and collaboration among students. It also examines students' experiences during literacy activities and the project itself. Conducted as a qualitative case study, this research involved thirty-six senior high school students. Data were gathered through classroom observations, interviews, and documentation of students’ project artifacts. The findings suggest that using reading journals during self-directed reading at home promotes critical thinking and assists students in generating ideas for their digital storytelling projects. Besides, digital storytelling projects also play a key role in enhancing students’ critical thinking and collaboration skills. Students effectively articulated issues and proposed solutions within their stories. Some topics related to the environments chosen cover air pollution, water pollution, building/housing, and illegal logging. Participation in the collaborative project encouraged students to take responsibility for their contributions and to respect differing opinions within their teams. Exploring students’ views as their reflection on experiencing literacy practices in digital storytelling projects also reveals the positive impacts on their English ability. This approach provides educators with a practical and innovative strategy to foster students’ skills, i.e. critical thinking and collaboration in the 21st century in an educational context.

Abstract

The result of public satisfaction index of cooperation and public relations services in the CSC-BG LIPI area shows that the service quality is still in poor condition and there is a gap between performance and importance of science service. This study aimed to determine the correct strategy to improve service performance and researcher’s trust in CSC-BG LIPI’s area service. This study used descriptive qualitative approach, with triangulation data from participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and Focus Group Discussion methods. The data were analyzed with the SWOT instrument to determine alternative performance improvement strategies, and QSPM to determine the priority of performance improvement strategies. The results of the IE analysis was an internal value of 2.515 and an external value of 2.420. These result showed that the position was in the growth strategy that suitable to keep current good service performance and to vary on specific service product which had poor performance. The results of the SWOT and QSPM analysis showed that the influence of external strategic factors was greater than internal strategic factors. This influence affected service performance improvement strategies that focus on managing opportunities against threats. The priority of this strategy lied in service, infrastructure, competency, function and authority of CSC-BG LIPI area.

Abstract

LIPI Public Relations is one of the support services functions that provide scientific services to researchers in terms of cooperation, public information, media and inter-institutions relations, and facilitating the socialization of science and technology. Reorganization causes changes in the function of public relations services from work units to regions, so it is necessary to analyze the satisfaction, performance and interest gaps of public relations services in the Cibinong Science Center-Botanical Garden LIPI. This study used a quantitative method approach with qualitative data as a support. Data was analyzed from two instruments, i.e. Community Satisfaction Index (IKM) and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). Among four PR service functions, three of them (cooperation, public information, media and inter-institutional relations) were perceived as working properly, meanwhile for facilitating the socialization of science and technology was not good. Officer behavior indicator was good, thus needed to be maintained. IKM’s indicators, such as: service requirements, procedures, completion time, product specifications, competence of officers, and complaints handling were not good enough, so that it became a priority for improvement. Moreover, the cost and infrastructure indicators could be ignored. Research suggested that the implementation of procedures was a priority for short-term improvement. Furthermore, development of product specifications and enhancing the competence of officers were short-term to medium-term improvement priorities.

Abstract

According to Islamic law, marriage is a contract stipulated by Shara' to allow pleasure between men and women and legalize the pleasure of women with men. Marriage, which in religious terms is called "Nikah", is to make a contract or agreement to bind themselves between a man and a woman to legalize sex between the two parties to create a family life filled with love and tranquility in a way that is approved by Allah SWT. This research is a type of field research. The use of field qualitative types is because "research must go to the field, engaging with the community means participating in feeling what they feel as well as getting a more comprehensive picture of the place situation". In Islam, women who are carrying out the iddah period are prohibited from getting married. Because the fuqaha agree that it is forbidden to propose to a woman during the iddah period. Meanwhile, the iddah period has come into effect since a husband has pronounced a divorce and must be followed by three menstrual periods. The purpose of the iddah period is to carry out the commands of Allah SWT. If the woman has committed a prohibition during the iddah period, by marrying before the iddah period is over, the marriage is considered void according to Article 71 of the Compilation of Islamic Law and Article 22 of the Marriage Law Number 1 of 1974 and an application for annulment of marriage can be submitted according to Article 73 of the Compilation of Islamic Law. If you want to continue your marriage, you must do a new contract that is in accordance with the objectives, pillars and conditions of marriage. Both have had intercourse and have been running for a long time. If one of the two of them is aware of the law in the iddah period, then the hadith applies to an adulterer, namely stoning and binding.

Abstract

Facebook is one of famous social network around people in Indonesia. Here, they can connect to a lot of person around the world. This paper focused in discussing the implicature meaning on speaker utterance and the aim of producing those utterance. Implicature from Yule were used to convey this problem. This paper used qualitative as the method to elaborate the analysis and discussion of the problem. The result of analysis show that speaker imply some point in their communication, such as unknown, agreement or disagreement, and yes/no. Furthermore, this paper conclude there are three aim of people in using implicature meaning while they are speaking; for saving act, making a joke, and mocking.

Abstract

The Mokwam forest is included in the territory of the Warmare District as a potential ecotourism area that has endemic animals, plants /flora, bird watching, Good bird attraction, mountain landscape, Moss forest, And the cave as a tourist attraction. The aim of the research is to determine the potentential of ecotourism in the forest area of Mokwam based on natural reources and strategies for this purpose, direction and tourism development policy mokwam forest area because of tourists visit special interest or foreign nusantara in continu. Which affects the economic movement of local people. The result of SWOT which is used by researchers can be described that a lot of factors affect the development of Forest Mokwam Ecotourism. The result showed that the key to the success of First of strength with value is 0.741, the second is 0.727, and the third is 0.709. The first weakness factor value is 0,323, the second is 0,192 and the third is 0,528. In external factor show that the first of the Key Factor Success (KFS) from Opportunity Factor value is 0.528, the second is 0.517 and the third is 0.516. In Threat Factor showed that the first value is 0.249, the second is 0.246 and the third is 0.246. The result of this research determined that the Mokwam Forest is suitable to develop the ecotourism area based on the environmental factor. It could be implemented based on the guidelines from Legacy Number. 41/1999 and the Legal of Government Number 34/2002 with management status is Limited Used of Forest Sanctuary in Area Used, and Environmental Services Used and pemanfaatan kawasan, pemanfaatan jasa lingkungan, and Forest Collecting no wood.

Abstract

Teknologi baik mobile ataupun web semua segmen industri di bidang pemasaran terlebih industri properti yang semakin berkembang namun tidak disertai dengan sistem yang terintegrasi untuk memudahkan koordinasi area kerja serta belum adanya teknologi yang membuat konsumen mudah untuk melakukan konfirmasi transaksi pembayaran yang sudah dilakukan dan mengakses informasi yang dibutuhkan oleh konsumen saat ini. Permasalahan ini membuat penurunan omset serta berkurangnya kepercayaan dari konsumen.  Sehingga perlunya pengembangan aplikasi untuk mempermudah kordinasi antar divisi dan mempermudah bisnis sehingga miningkatkan penjualan, dengan banyaknya informasi customer yang bersifat pribadi maka keamanan data menjadi suatu yang penting. dengan berbagai kekurangan dari keamanan dan kebijakan perusahaan tersebut maka pada penelitian ini dibutuhkan penerapan teknologi web service dengan menggunakan arsitektur REST (REpresentation State Transfer) yaitu mengimplementasikan RESTful API guna mengkomunikasikan dua platform yang berbeda yaitu android dan website. Penelitian ini menghasilkan sebuah format keluaran JSON agar dapat diakses melalui link/URI. Hasil yang dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan mengimplementasikan sebuah RESTful API maka aplikasi yang dirancang dengan berbasis android dapat berjalan sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna dan kinerja dari fitur sehingga dapat bekerja sesuai dengan hasil analisis kebutuhan fungsional. Dengan mengimplementasikan JWT, maka request data yang dibutuhkan dapat menghasilkan sebuah response berdasarkan dengan hak akses yang diberikan. Maka dari itu, dengan mengimplementasikan penggunanan Resful API Web Service dengan JWT sebagai untuk pengamanan data dapat menjamin keamanan data customer serta mempermudah internal perusahaan menggunakan aplikasi yang dibuat serta baik untuk skalabilitas.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the English language needs of Information Technology (IT) students from both linguistic and pedagogical perspectives. The research seeks to identify the students’ specific language requirements and the implications for curriculum design in English for Specific Purposes (ESP). Using a mixed-method approach, data were collected from 80 students of the Information Systems and Technology Program at ITB Semarang through questionnaires, interviews, and document analysis. The findings revealed that reading and writing are the most essential skills for IT students, especially in understanding technical documentation and producing project reports. Students also expressed a strong need for vocabulary enrichment, authentic materials, and digital-based communication practices. The pedagogical implications suggest that ESP instruction should integrate task-based and project-oriented learning, align materials with professional contexts, and emphasize communicative competence in technology-related discourse. Abstract

The phenomenon of applying return fees courier services in Bondowoso District has become a significant issue due to procedural uncertainty and potential injustice for consumers, particularly from the perspective of Sharia Economic Law. This research addresses two problems: (1) how is the practice of applying return fees courier services in Bondowoso District, and (2) how does Sharia Economic Law analyze this practice. The study aims to describe the practice of return fees and to analyze its compliance with the principles of ijarah and ju’alah contracts. A descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach was employed, using in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation as data collection techniques. The research subjects consisted of couriers, the hub manager, and customers who had experienced returns. The findings reveal that return fees are generally charged when goods are rejected upon delivery, opened or damaged, or when the return process is carried out outside the application procedure. This practice does not entirely originate from the company’s official policy but rather from couriers’ personal initiatives. From the perspective of Sharia Economic Law, return fees can be justified as ijarah if there is a clear mutual agreement, but they have the potential to harm consumers if applied unilaterally.
