Abstract

Academic procrastination among students is becoming more widespread. The lack of time management causes this issue. Students without clear schedules or priorities can be more easily tempted to put off work or important academic assignments when managing their time. Other psychological factors contributing to this academic procrastination behavior are perfectionism and fear of failure. This study aims to empirically prove the relationship between perfectionism and fear of failure in academic procrastination. The method used in this research was correlational quantitative with a population of 153 students. The instruments used included academic procrastination, perfectionism, and fear of failure scales. The analysis technique was multiple linear regression. The results showed a positive correlation between perfectionism and fear of failure in academic procrastination, with an F score of 29.133 and a significance value of 0.001. This study also concluded that it is important for students to learn time management strategies, deal with anxiety effectively, and better understand failure and mistakes as part of the learning process. It is also important to emphasize that high standards can motivate success but must be balanced with good mental and physical health. They must not come at the expense of an individual’s mental well-being.

Generation Z is a generation that is prone to mental health problems caused by poor social relationships and emotions. One of the mental health problems experienced by Generation Z is alexithymia. This happens because not all individuals can identify, describe, and express their emotions. Therefore, this study was conducted to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and attachment style with alexithymia in Generation Z. The method used in this research is a quantitative approach method, with research sampling using a purposive sampling technique. The sample used in this study is Generation Z, with a vulnerable age of 15-19 years, who are in high school (SMA), and as many as 100 respondents. Then, the researcher used multiple linear regression test techniques to analyze the data. The results obtained from this study indicate that the variables of emotional intelligence and attachment style have a negative-significant effect on the alexithymia variable with an R-value of 0.697, R-square of 0.485 with an F value of 45.736 and a P-value of <0.001 (p<0.001). The higher the emotional intelligence and attachment style, the lower the alexithymia and vice versa.

Abstract

Indonesia is a multicultural country with diverse ethnicities, languages and religions, which requires an educational approach that includes multiculturalism and inclusiveness. By promoting inclusiveness and multiculturalism, Indonesia can build a more cohesive society that values diversity. Developing an inclusive education measurement tool is essential to address the above challenges, yet a diversity-based education measurement tool has not been developed. Inclusive education also includes various dimensions: Optimal contact conditions intergroup contact theory, climate of multiculturalism, climate of color blindness, climate of critical consciousness, and climate of polyculturalism. Fifty-two items were administered to 150 teachers in Indonesia. The methods used in this research are quantitative and literature study. The sample in this study was obtained using non-probability sampling method with accidental sampling technique. The results of this study obtained 34 out of 52 items that became the final items with the Likert scaling model which was complemented by Structural Equation Model (SEM) analysis with SmartPLS 4. A total of 34 question items were declared valid because the item had a loading factor value 0.5 and 18 were declared invalid. After all items have a loading factor value ≤ 0.5, the 34 items of the Indonesian diversity-based inclusive education scale can be fully utilized

Sampling using purposive sampling method with a total sample of 170 respondents. Data analysis used multiple linear regression analysis techniques with JASP. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant positive relationship between perfectionism and academic burnout with a correlation coefficient (R) of 0.568 with a significance of 0.001 (p<0.01). The relationship between negative self-efficacy and academic burnout has a significant negative relationship with a correlation coefficient (R) of -0.399 with a significance of 0.001 (p<0.01). The effective contribution of the perfectionism variable to the academic burnout variable is 28%. Meanwhile, the effective contribution given by self-efficacy to the academic burnout variable is 5%.
