Abstract

This research aims to analyze community empowerment strategies in marine tourism management in Pari Island using a qualitative approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The results showed that community empowerment has increased local participation in tourism, particularly in economic activities such as homestay management and tourist equipment rental. However, challenges in environmental sustainability and gaps in access to economic resources remain an issue. In conclusion, inclusive empowerment strategies and continued support from various parties are needed to ensure tourism develops sustainably.

Abstract

Beach tourism is the special interest tourism which part of marine tourism. The coastal dynamic makes activities on the beach area is a high risk of drowning. The South Coastal of West Java which faces The Indian Ocean is high of dangerous, while the beaches along the coast are marine tourism areas. The research aim is to analyze the marine tourism risk caused by coastal dynamics in The South Coastal of West Java. The method consist of survey method used purposive sampling method and assessment method used fish bone diagram. The result shows there are three main causes factors that create marine tourism risk, that is the beach physical, the facilities, and the people. The facilities and the people are the factors which can avoid the danger of beach physical. The people factor, especially tourist, is the main factor who reduce the risk of marine tourism. In addition, is required participation from the stakeholder to increase the quality and quantity of lifeguard and also the safety equipment. Abstract

Wilayah Pantai Utara (Pantura) Jawa Barat masih menghadapi dua permasalahan utama, yaitu ketergantungan pada impor garam akibat produksi lokal yang terbatas serta ancaman banjir rob yang merusak infrastruktur dan mengganggu mata pencaharian. Untuk menjawab hal tersebut, kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini memperkenalkan Recycle Salt House, fasilitas produksi garam yang dibangun dari botol plastik bekas sebagai solusi berbiaya rendah dan ramah lingkungan. Desain bertingkat memungkinkan rumah garam tetap berfungsi saat banjir rob sekaligus mendukung pengelolaan limbah plastik. Melalui kegiatan sosialisasi, persiapan, pelatihan, dan pendampingan, program ini berhasil membangun rumah garam di Desa Bungko Lor, Kabupaten Cirebon, yang telah menghasilkan garam pada uji coba awal. Keterlibatan KUD Mina Jaka Bhakti dan pemuda pesisir menunjukkan potensi program ini dalam meningkatkan produksi garam lokal, memberdayakan masyarakat, serta mendukung keberlanjutan lingkungan di wilayah pesisir.
