Abstract

Indonesia continues to face serious waste management issues, particularly with non-organic waste. According to the National Waste Management Information System (SIPSN), the total waste generation in 2024 reached 34,214,607.36 tons across 317 districts and cities. This study presents the design of a mobile-based application called ekoSaku, aimed at facilitating the digital collection and exchange of recyclable waste between users and agents. The development process applies the Design Thinking methodology, consisting of five stages: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. User needs were identified through questionnaires distributed to 15 respondents, focusing on daily waste-handling behavior and digital expectations. These insights shaped the app’s core features such as waste photo uploads, home pickups, price setting by agents, transaction tracking, and a point-based reward system. The prototype was evaluated using the System Usability Scale (SUS), with an average score of 81, indicating excellent usability. The results show that ekoSaku offers a user-friendly and effective approach to digital waste management.

Abstract

Child stunting is a chronic nutritional issue that hampers physical and cognitive development, particularly during the first 1,000 days of life (HPK). In Indonesia, although the stunting rate declined from 24.4% in 2021 to 21.6% in 2022, it remains a major public health challenge. Currently, 30.8% of children under five are stunted, 10.2% suffer from wasting, and 48.5% of pregnant women are anemic. In response, the Indonesian government has set a national target to reduce the stunting rate to 14% by 2024, using a cross-sectoral approach focused on the HPK period. The root causes of stunting include inadequate nutritional intake, limited knowledge, and improper parenting practices. To support these efforts, technological innovation plays a vital role. The WellGrown mobile application, developed using the Design Thinking approach, aims to assist prospective parents by offering accessible health and nutrition guidance for pregnant women and children up to two years of age. With this strategy, monitoring and evaluation during the HPK period can become more efficient. The System Usability Scale (SUS) score for WellGrown is 82.5, reflecting its high usability and user satisfaction.

Abstract

Individuals with quadriplegia experience total paralysis of all four limbs due to spinal cord injuries, leaving them unable to operate conventional electric wheelchairs that rely on joystick control. Existing alternative interfaces, such as head motion and eye-gaze sensors, are often cost-prohibitive and fail to deliver the maneuverability and accuracy required for daily use. Voice recognition emerges as a practical solution because speech ability is typically retained in quadriplegia, offering a hands-free, intuitive control method. This study proposes an electric wheelchair system integrating voice user experience (VUX), machine learning (ML), and kinematics-based wheel rotation control to address these challenges. Voice commands are processed using natural language processing (NLP) for word recognition and support vector machines (SVM) for amplitude classification to dynamically adjust speed and direction. Forward and inverse kinematics optimize wheel rotation angles, ensuring smooth and precise navigation even in constrained spaces. Experimental results demonstrate 92.82% word recognition accuracy and 94.48% accuracy in frequency and amplitude detection. Functional testing recorded average speeds of 0.343 m/s (no load) and 0.305 m/s (with 60 kg load). Usability testing with 15 quadriplegic users reported 93%.

Abstract

East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) is a province in Indonesia which is rich in natural beauty, culture, and history. Even though NTT has tremendous tourism potential, challenges in the promotion and accessibility of tourist destinations are still a major concern. In today's digital era, web-based applications are tools that effectively facilitate the tourism industry by providing complete information, facilitating travel planning, and expanding the reach of promotions. Therefore, this web-based NTT travel tour application makes it easy for tourists to access information, compare options, and plan trips efficiently

Abstract

This study aims to aid in decision-making for determining the employment status of contract employees versus permanent employees using the Multiple Linear Regression algorithm. The analysis shows that the independent variables, including Work Experience (X1), Education Length (X2), and Attendance (X3), strongly influence the dependent variable of Employee Status (Y). With a coefficient of determination of 0.734, the model explains 73.4% of the variation in Employee Status based on these variables. The integrated decision support system facilitates decision-making by providing recommendations based on user inputs. Application testing confirms the system's effectiveness in assisting decisions regarding the eligibility of contract employees for permanent employment. Overall, this research contributes to informed and accurate decision-making in employee status determination.

Abstract

Information technology has changed the educational landscape with the emergence of e-learning applications, including Edlink, a Learning Management System (MLS) platform that provides various educational features. User reviews are an important factor in evaluating app quality, and sentiment analysis is a useful tool for understanding these reviews. This research uses the Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Naive Bayes methods to analyze the sentiment of Edlink reviews. The dataset was obtained from GitHub and processed through the TF-IDF preprocessing and feature extraction stages. SVM and Naive Bayes were trained with this data and evaluated using a confusion matrix. The results show that SVM performs better than Naive Bayes, with an accuracy value of around 90%. In 1814 reviews, SVM provided higher precision, recall, and f1- score values for both sentiments (positive and negative) compared to Naive Bayes.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has presented major challenges to global productivity, especially for office workers who have switched to Work from Home (WFH). This research focuses on developing the "Notelife" application using a design thought approach to overcome these productivity challenges. The design thinking method is applied through five stages: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test. The Empathize stage involved interviews with five office workers to understand their management activity needs. The Define stage produces user personas and pain points based on interview results. The Ideate stage creates solution ideas, and the Prototype stage produces the "Notelife" application design including task, file, and time management features. Testing was carried out using the System Usability Scale (SUS) on 20 respondents, and the Notelife application achieved an average SUS value of 82,625, exceeding the average value of 68 for system usability. In conclusion, the design thought approach succeeded in producing a Notelife application design that suits user needs and provides a positive user experience in managing daily activities.

Abstract

The level of reading interest among Indonesian people will be 66.7 points in 2023. Increasingly advanced technological developments have led to an increase in the use of digital media, including reading practices which now tend to be digital. Previous research has involved the use of design thinking in creating solutions from a process of empathy for a particular human-centered need. So the design thinking method was used in designing the "LiteraLink" application. Before starting a series of steps in design thinking, it is important to first determine the target user in accordance with the objectives of this application. The results of the interface design test using SUS are shown in Table 2 and produced a score of 80 16. Based on the SUS assessment indicators, the score is categorized as grade B or excellent so that the results of this interface design are acceptable. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the application of the design thinking method in designing the interface of the digital reading application in the 'LiteraLink' application is successful implemented so that this application is considered good and has the potential to increase interest in reading and support literacy among the community, especially children and teenagers.

Abstract

This research discusses mood classification in pop and jazz music using Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCC) and the K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) algorithm. The dataset used consists of900 songs with mood labels angry, happy, relaxed, and sad obtained from Kaggle. The data wasprocessed by extracting 13 MFCC features and then continuing with classification using KNN. The research results show that the best accuracy reaches 64% with K=9. Accuracy at K=7 obtained a value of 60%, while at K=11 an accuracy of 58% was obtained. Evaluation was carriedout using accuracy, precision, recall and f1-score metrics, with the best results found at K=9. Thisresearch emphasizes the importance of selecting K parameters for optimizing mood classificationmodels.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a computer program utilizing the SHA-256 algorithm to compare the authenticity between the original video and the video that has undergone cryptographic processes, particularly during the decryption phase. The program is designed to provide additional verification regarding the success of the decryption process in restoring the video to its original condition. The program development is conducted using the Python programming language. The SHA-256 algorithm is employed to generate hash values for both the original video and the decrypted video. The resulting hash values of the two videos are then compared to evaluate their similarity. The developed program successfully compares the authenticity between the original video and the decrypted video. Through the analysis of hash values using SHA-256, the program concludes whether the decryption process successfully restores the video to its original state or not.
