Abstract

The main cause of work accidents due to falls from heights was unsafe behavior. In the Jakarta LRT Project, there were still unsafe behaviors performed by workers at heights such as not use complete PPE, not hooking FBH (Full Body Harness) to lifelines or scaffolding, not follow safety procedures, and smoke while working at heights. This research aimed to describe the unsafe behavior and determinants in the workers at heights in the Jakarta LRT Project Phase 1B Velodrome-Manggarai Zone 2 in 2025. This research used quantitative methods with a cross-sectional design and was conducted from January to May 2025. The sample was workers at heights using random sampling techniques and obtained 73 respondents. Data analysis used descriptive analysis. The research results showed that 72 workers (98.6%) behaved unsafely with the highest percentage of unsafe behavior being 71% of workers had never reported work conditions and hazard and risk findings to supervisors. The description of determinants of unsafe behavior showed that most workers had poor knowledge, did not comply with safety procedures, had never received occupational health and safety training, had poor supervision, rarely received rewards, and rarely received punishment. HSE personnel need to educate workers about the dangers and safe working practices when working at heights and increase supervision to ensure compliance with safety procedures. Management needs to re-conduct training on working at heights and safe use of scaffolding for workers and increase the number of award recipients and strengthen the punishment for workers. Abstract

Background: Iron deficiency anemia (IDA) is a significant public health issue due to its prevalence and numerous contributing factors, specifically among female adolescents. Objective: The study aimed to examine the influence of knowledge and attitude on IDA prevention practice among female adolescents in Bogor City, Indonesia. Methods: This cross-sectional study was carried out among 20 junior high schools in Bogor City, Indonesia. A total of 1.410 female students were selected through a non-probability sampling method. The Spearman rank correlation test was then used to examine the relationship between knowledge, attitude, and practice regarding IDA prevention. Results: The results showed that the average scores for knowledge, attitude, and practice were 5.92 (out of 15), 11.56 (out of 15), and 8.95 (out of 12), respectively. In addition, knowledge had a significant correlation with attitude (p-value = 0.001, r = 0.185), and attitude showed a significant correlation with practice (p-value = 0.005, r = 0.075). Conclusion: The limited understanding of female students concerning IDA may influence their attitude and practice towards its prevention. This indicates that the implementation of diverse strategies is essential to enhance understanding of anemia, thereby improving prevention behavior. Abstract

Background: The prevalence of mental health problems among adolescents is increasing. One way to improve mental health and help relieve stress is through memorizing the Quran. Objective: To determine the relationship between Quran memorization activities and other factors on adolescents’ mental health at Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Negeri 42 Jakarta in 2024. Methods: This quantitative research uses a cross-sectional design. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test with a sample of 107 respondents selected through proportional random sampling. Results: Students who experienced mental health problems, as assessed by the SDQ 20 questionnaire screening for ages 11-18 years, showed that 55.1% were in the abnormal category and 36.4% in the borderline category. There was a significant relationship between Quran memorization activity (P-value = 0.024) and social environment (P-value = 0.001) with mental health. However, counseling and genetic guidance services did not show any significant relationship with mental health (P-value > 0.05). Conclusion: The study suggests that schools can support students’ mental health through meetings, counseling, Quran activities, and guidance from teachers. It is recommended to implement mental health screening programs at schools, provide spiritual and mental guidance, create Quran memorization award programs, and promote mental health education. Encouraging students to engage in positive activities can also help improve their mental well-being.
