Abstract

Hipertensi merupakan penyakit kardiovaskular yang banyak terjadi di Indonesia. Hal ini merupakan masalah kesehatan dengan prevalensi yang tinggi, yaitu sebesar 25,8 %, sesuai dengan data Riskesdas 2013. Orang dengan Hipertensi juga sering mengalami komplikasi dengan penyakit kardiovaskuler yang lainnya seperti hiperkolesterolemia. Anti-hipertensi golongan beta-blocker umumnya digunakan oleh orang untuk mengobati tekanan darah tinggi dan detak jantung yang berlebihan. Uji efek farmakologis dari bisoprolol terhadap penurunan tekanan darah dalam keadaan hipertensi telah dilakukan beberapa peneliti sebelumnya baik secara preklinis maupun klinis, namun pengaruh patologi hiperkolesterolemia terhadap efek penurunan tekanan arteri rata-rata danlaju jantung belum ada. Oleh karena itu peneliti tertarik untuk meneliti efek penurunan tekanan arteri rata-rata dan laju jantung pada tikus hipertensi dan hipertensi dengan penyakit penyerta hiperkelesterolemia. Maka peneliti tertarik untuk melakukan penelitian tentang efek bisoprolol terhadap penurunan tekanan arteri rata-rata dan laju jantung pada tikus putih jantan hipertensi dan hipertensi komplikasi hiperkolesterolemia pada tikus putih jantan. pada penelitian ini hewan percobaan dihipertensikan semuanya terlebih dahulu kemudian kelompok yang komplikasi hiperkolesterolemia diinduksi dengan PTU dan pemberian makanan lemak tinggi, kemudian diukur menggunakan fotometer v5­+ 5010. Sedangkan tekanan arteri rata-rata dan laju jantung diukur dengan menggunakan pengukur tekanan darah adinstrument NIBP (Non invasive blood pressure) merk CODA (kent scientific). Data hasil penelitian ini dianalisis dengan ANOVA dua arah. Didapatkan hasil bahwa pemberian bisoprolol dengan dosis 2,5 mg, 5 mg dan 10 mg berpengaruh terhadap penurunan tekanan arteri rata-rata dan laju jantung secara signifikan (p ˂ 0,05). Dan dosis 10 mg yang paling efektif dalam menurunkan tekanan arteri rata-rata dan laju jantung pada tikus putih jantan hipertensi dan hipertensi komplikasi hiperkolesterolemia. Dan adanya perbedaan penurunan tekanan arteri rata-rata dan laju jantung pada tikus putih jantan yang hipertensi penurunan nya lebih besar dibandingkan dengan tikus putih jantan yang hipertensi komplikasi hiperkolesterolemia.

Abstract

Indonesia is a plant-producing country, especially in the tropics of Indonesia there are 30,000 plant species. Of these, there are 9,600 plant species that are useful as medicine, but 200 species have been used as raw materials for the herbal industry for health, one of which is from red dragon fruit skin (Hylocereus polyrhizus). This type of research is experimental research. This research was conducted qualitatively and quantitatively which was carried out from July-August 2022. The data obtained in this study were used to determine the antioxidant content of herbal tea preparations in red dragon fruit skin (Hylocereus polyrhizus) and cinnamon bark (Cinnamomum burmani) and for data analysis, the data obtained was tested linear regression using the SPSS v16 program. to obtain a linear equation, so that the value of antioxidant activity (IC50) is obtained. Data analysis was continued with the one way ANOVA method (ANOVA). So it can be concluded that the herbal tea preparations of red dragon fruit skin (Hylocereus polyrhizus) and cinnamon bark (Cinnamomum burmanii) in the antioxidant test had a good temperature at 80OC (45.123 ppm) because based on IC50 because the lower the IC50 value, the stronger the IC50 value. The IC50 value is the effective concentration of an antioxidant substance capable of inhibiting the activity of a free radical by 50%. For the IC50 value for the combination tea of red dragon fruit skin and cinnamon bark at 60OC (47.605 ppm) and 100OC (48.585 ppm). Where free radicals are very good at heating temperatures of 80OC. The results showed that the heating temperature of herbal tea simplicia had an effect on the antioxidants produced in each sample. It can be concluded that from the 3 differences in heating temperature variations, the antioxidant yield was very good at 80OC with an IC50 result of 45.123 ppm. Further research needs to be done with the manufacture of dragon fruit peel and cinnamon bark herbal tea in the form of dyes so that the presentation is faster, easier and more practical. Further research is needed to determine the shelf life of dragon fruit peel and cinnamon herbal tea products.Keywords: Red Dragon Fruit Peel, Cinnamon Bark Herbal Tea Preparation.

Abstract

Hipertensi merupakan penyakit kronis yang membutuhkan terapi jangka panjang. Prevalensi hipertensi setiap tahunnya terus mengalami peningkatan, tetapi pengetahuan pasien terhadap pengobatan tergolong masih rendah. Pengetahuan yang lebih baik akan meningkatkan kepatuhan pasien dalam pengobatan sehingga tekanan darah lebih terkontrol dan terhindar dari resiko komplikasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh booklet terhadap pengetahuan pasien hipertensi prolanis di Puskesmas Rasimah Ahmad Kota Bukittinggi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah experimental pretest–posttest control group design dengan subjek penelitian 40 responden yang dibagi secara acak menjadi dua kelompok (kontrol dan intervensi). Media intervensi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah booklet. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuisioner HK-LS untuk menilai pengetahuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan pasien hipertensi. Analisis statistik yang digunakan adalah uji Wilcoxon Signed Ranks, untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian intervensi terhadap tingkat pengetahuan pasien. Dari hasil penelitian, menunjukkan bahwa pemberian booklet memperoleh nilai signifikan (p-value = 0,000), sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa, pemberian booklet

Abstract

Hypertension or high blood pressure is a condition where a person's blood pressure is above the normal limit, which is indicated by a systolic pressure above 140 mmHg and a diastolic pressure above 90 mmHg. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of ethanol extract of mahogany seeds as an antihypertensive against male galur wistar white rats strain. The research was True Experimental with Pre-Test Post-Test Control Group Design, using male white rats as test animals divided into 6 groups, namely negative control group, positive control group, dose group (100, 200 and 400 mg/kgbw) and comparison group (Captopril 25 mg). The inducer used was 8% NaCl for 30 days. Blood pressure measurements were carried out using a CODA Non-Invasive Blood Pressure (NIBP) device. Data analysis using one-way ANOVA followed by the Bonferroni test showed that administration of mahogany seed ethanol extract had an effect on decreasing systolic, diastolic, mean arterial blood pressure and heart rate significantly (p<0.05). It can be concluded that the most effective dose of mahogany seed ethanol extract in lowering blood pressure (systolic, mean arterial and heart rate) was a dose of 200 mg/kgbw and for diastolic blood pressure the most effective was the comparison drug.

Abstract

Hiperkolesterolemia dan hipertensi merupakan penyakit kardiovaskular yang berbahaya. Beberapa faktor resiko bersifat permanen seperti usia, jenis kelamin, genetik dan faktor lainnya dapat dimodifikasi seperti merokok, kurangnya aktivitas fisik, gizi buruk, tekanan darah tinggi, diabetes tipe II, dislipidemia dan obesitas. Aterosklerosis dan hipertensi berpotensi berkembang menjadi penyakit kardiovaskular yang berbahaya seperti infark miokard dan stroke. Bahan alam banyak digunakan sebagai alternatif pengobatan kardiovaskular seperti daun matoa, daun matoa banyak digunakan sebagai oabat diabetes melitus, diare dan disentri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat efektivitas dan pengaruh lama pemberian ekstrak dan fraksi daun matoa Pometia pinnata J. R Forst & G. Forst terhadap penurunan kolesterolemia dan hipertensi pada hewan uji. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan hewan uji berupa tikus dan burung puyuh. Pengukuran tekanan darah menggunakan instrumen CODA®, dan pengukuran kadar kolesterol meggunakan fotometer klinik. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemberian ekstrak daun matoa dapat mempengaruhi kadar kolesterolemia dengan dosis yang efektif 300 mg/kgbb, dan fraksi daun matoa mempengaruhi tekanan darah dengan dosis efektif Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menyatakan ekstrak dan fraksi daun matoa dapat menurunkan kadar kolesterol dalam darah dan tekanan darah pada hewan percobaan serta semakin tinggi dosis yang diberikan maka semakin tinggi juga penurunannya.

Abstract

African leaves (Vernonia amygdalina Delile) and kenikir leaves (Cosmos caudatus Kunth) are plants that belong to the asteraceae family. Members of asteraceae have been used in food and medicine for centuries. This study aims to determine the secondary metabolite compounds contained in African leaves extracts and kenikir leaves through phytochemical screening using Thin-layer chromatography (TLC) method detected using UV 254nm and UV 366 nm light, as well as spot revealers that match the chemical group. The results of phytochemical screening using KLT show that African leaves contain flavonoids, terpenoids. And kenikir leaf extract is positive for steroids and flavonoids, one of them which is isocuesitrin.

Abstract

Eleutherine Bulbosa is one of the plants cultivated by the community for traditional medicine. It's like lowering hypercholesterolemia. Hypercholesterolemia is a condition characterized by high levels of cholesterol in the blood. Besides, it can also lower hypertension. Hypertension is a condition in which blood pressure exceeds the normal limit, with systolic pressure above 140 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure above 90 mmHg. The study aims to look at the effectiveness of the Eleutherine Bulbosa ethyl acetate fraction against the reduction in total cholesterol levels, systolic blood pressure, and diastolic blood pressure in male white rats. Animal cholesterol levels were raised using MLT for 22 days. Cholesterol parameters were tested using a Dumolab DC20 photometer. The inducer used to raise blood pressure is 8% NaCl for 14 days. Blood pressure is measured using non-invasive blood pressure. (NIBP). The results of the research showed that the flavonoid groups that play a role in lowering high cholesterol levels are the anthocyanins and quercetin, while the alkaloid compounds play a part in lowering high blood pressure. Data analysis showed significant results (p<0.05). It can be concluded that the administration of the ethyl acetate fraction Eleutherine Bulbosa is capable of lowering high cholesterol levels and high systolic-diastolic blood pressure.

Abstract

Dragon skin is a waste that is rarely used and often discarded. The dragonfruit skin has antioxidant activity related to the anthocyanin content that protects the skin from oxidation damage to prevent premature aging. This study introduces a new approach to utilizing super red dragon fruit skin waste often thrown away, by formulating it into a hydrogel preparation with potential as a cosmetic product. An experimentally used method with a true-experimental design. There are 7 formulas, F1 (base), F2, F3, and F4 (with ultrasonic extract 1%, 2%, 3.). The evaluations included organoleptic tests, homogeneity tests, viscosity testing, pH tests, swelling ratio, freeze and thaw. The results of this study show that super red dragonfruit leather extracts can be formed in hydrogel preparations and have good physical quality properties.

Abstract

Chemical drugs are chemical substances added to traditional medicines or herbal medicines to strengthen the indications. One of the chemical drugs that is often added to herbal medicines is dexamethasone. With the presence of dexamethasone content that is intentionally added to herbal medicines, it can increase the weight of consumers who consume the herbal medicine. Dexamethasone in long-term use can cause unwanted hormonal effects, namely a series of changes called iatrogenic Cushing's Syndrome (moon face) and osteoporosis. This study aims to identify the chemical drug dexamethasone in weight-gaining herbal medicines sold in the city of Bukittinggi using purposive sampling techniques and analyzing its levels. The research method was carried out using UV-Vis spectrophotometry. The results of the study showed that there were 2 samples of herbal weight gain medicines that positively contained dexamethasone with a concentration of 1.9771% in herbal medicine 2 and 0.2092% in herbal medicine 7. In conclusion, out of 10 herbal weight gain medicines sold in Bukittinggi City, there were 2 herbal medicine samples that contained the chemical drug dexamethasone.

Abstract

Background: The microalgae Spirulina platensis is a microalgae with numerous benefits, particularly in the fields of health and cosmetics. One of its active compounds, phycocyanin, is a water-soluble antioxidant that is beneficial for facial skincare. A peel-off gel mask is a practical cosmetic product that can be peeled off directly after drying. Objective: This study aimed to develop a peel-off gel mask containing Spirulina platensis water extract and evaluate its physical quality. Methods: The peel-off gel mask was prepared by adding Spirulina platensis water extract at three different concentrations: 0.25% (F1), 0.5% (F2), and 0.75% (F3). Physical quality evaluation included organoleptic testing, homogeneity, viscosity, pH, drying time, adhesiveness, and stability at 4°C and 40°C. A comparison was also made with a commercial spirulina mask product (F4, 0.25%). Results: The physical quality assessment showed that all formulations met the requirements for organoleptic properties, homogeneity, viscosity, pH, drying time, and adhesiveness. In the stability test, the base formula (F0) and F1 (0.25%) were the most stable in terms of organoleptic parameters, while all formulations remained stable in pH. The viscosity of all four formulations remained stable after two months of storage. The commercial mask (F4) exhibited similar physical quality results to F1, with both meeting all requirements. Conclusion: The peel-off gel mask containing Spirulina platensis water extract was successfully developed with satisfactory physical quality. The 0.25% concentration formula (F1) demonstrated good stability, comparable to commercially available products.
