Abstract

Previously, people who want to visit a tourist attraction should come to that place. If you can’t visit it normally, you can only read or heard from a source. Therefore made 3-dimensional visualization application. The object to be visualized in this research is Great Mosque of Central Java. This application aims to facilitate the introduction of the Great Mosque of Central Java. This application is created using Unity3D and Sketchup software, where the programming language used is UnityScript and JavaScript. The design phase made using Multimedia Development Life Cycle, and then proceed with the design using Flowchart. Implementation phase is done by implementing a 3D model and program implementation. The testing phase is done with a black-box method, as well as testing of the frame rate per second, memory and processor usage, how long rendering process, and user testing. The results show that this application runs well on Windows operating systems. Buttons and functions within the application has been running well with the respective functionality. From the test results on the application of the Great Mosque of Central Java visualization can be shown that the process of rendering both real time and non real time rendering requires a high performance from graphics card and processor. Based on the testing that has been done, the application is quite easy to run by the user, the objects that exist in the application is quite similar to the original object, and this application provides benefits to its users.

Abstract

Brain is one of the most vital parts for humans, with the number of brain function that is needed for the body, the brain becomes a very important part of the human body. If there is damage to the brain will certainly cause the performance of the human body will not run properly. Because of that, it’s very important to maintain brain health. There is a way to maintain brain health, for example is by doing brain exercise. Examples of brain exercise is to do simple math calculations or doing brain games like sudoku. Because of that, created a tool that can help the brain to maintain brain exercise. The tool is called math clock. Making math clock tool consists of hardware and software. The hardware consists of RTC as real time data input, ATmega328 as microcontroller and dot matrix 32x16 as a tool to display the output that has been processed by the microcontroller. The software is built using C with Arduino IDE. Math clock will process the data from RTC then processed it, in microcontroller so when output displayed on dot matrix, output will be simple mathematical operation with real time clock data on it. Test results show that, math clock is capable of displaying a simple mathematical calculation operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. The mathematical operation that display on math clock, appears to be random, so it’s not triggered by same mathematical operation. In math clock the display will change every 20 second, so in 1 minute there are 3 different kinds of mathematical operations. The results of questionnaires of 10 different students, showed 9 out of 10 students said math clock is a tool that easy to use as a clock. Math clock will be alternative for doing brain exercise every day.

Abstract

The use of information technology gives the advantage of open access for its users, but a new problem arises that there is a threat from unauthorized users. Intrusion Detection System (IDS) is applied to assist administrator to monitoring network security. IDS displays illegal access information in a raw form which is require more time to read the detected threats. This final project aims to design an IDS with web application which is made for pulling information on IDS sensor database, then processing and representing them in tables and graphs that are easy to understand. The web application also has IpTables firewall module to block attacker's IP address. The hardware used is Cisco IPS 4240, two computers Compaq Presario 4010F as client and gateway, and Cisco Catalyst 2960 switch. The software used is Ubuntu 12.0 LTS Precise operating system, BackTrack 5 R1 operating system, PHP 5.4 programming language, MySQL 5 database, and web-based system configuration tool Webmin. Testing is done using several BackTrack applications with the aim of Cisco IPS 4240 is capable of detecting accordance with the applicable rules. Each events of any attack attempt or threat was obtained from IDS sensor database in XML form. XML file is sent using Security Device Event Exchange (SDEE) protocol. The web application is tested by looking at the output tables and graphs that displays the appropriate results of sensor detection. This study generated an intrusion detection system that is easier to monitor. Network packets copied by the Cisco 2960 switch and then forwarded to the sensor. Intruder detection is done by Cisco IPS 4240 sensor. Log detection processed by the web application into tables and graphs. Intrusion detection systems are intended to improve network security.

Abstract

As the advancement of technology, there are a lot of things that could be efficiently done by technology. Technology of surveillance system is necessary and highly demanded by many people at the current moment. The interface of room surveillance system using PHP programming language and MySQL as a database management system which can generate video and other information as an output in a web-based browser. The result of this research is an interface of surveillance systems that can be used as room monitoring. The result of the Black box testing from this interface of surveillance system indicates that all of the system function has been successfully operated. Hopefully, this research can be used to help for further research.

Abstract

One of the problems frequently encountered by internet users is slow internet access. In particular, when there are many users share the internet bandwidth. This problem may occur as there is no bandwidth management system employed. HTB is one of the bandwidth management system available on Linux that can be installed on a network. This research focuses on the implementation of the HTB as a bandwidth management system. Based on the testing done, it is shown that after using HTB as bandwidth manager, internet access can be controlled and every client gets bandwidth as needed. The performance achieved when HTB is employed outperforms the non-HTB scenario. With HTB, the packet loss and failed transaction are reduced more than 90%.

Abstract

Indonesia is a maritime country with two of the three area consists of sea with a very favorable potential of the Indonesian economy. However. many thefts occur in marine fish Indonesia. Each year, the state must lose up to 11.8 trillion as a result of illegal fishing in the Arafura Sea. he Government has attempted to reduce losses due to illegal fishing by deploying surveillance vessels to conduct surveillance, but the ship still has limitations on deadlines related to logistics and fuel oil. Therefore, research must be done to develop a system of unmanned ship for patrol boats to patrol autonomously without the use of fuel oil. The system consists of hardware and software. The hardware consists of sensors such as GPS and compass as a navigational reference, Sonar sensor for obstacle avoidance, ATMega 2560 as a microcontroller and motor driver as the actuator. The software is built using C with Arduino IDE compatible with AVR microcontroller. The system will read the GPS coordinates and compass direction in order to run unmanned. The system is also equipped with a transmitter to control the system manually. The results show the system is able to move the ship to navigate automatically. The system able to read the GPS coordinates and the reading direction of the compass well. The system also able to avoid obstacles that are in front of the system. The system is also able to be manually controlled and can transmit serial data to identify the condition of the system.

Abstract

Makalah ini membahas tentang perancangan sistem pengukur suhu dan kelembaban ruang server yang dapat meningkatkan efisiensi daya listrik dengan menggunakan arduino. Sistem terdiri dari sensor DHT 11 yang berfungsi untuk mengambil data berupa suhu dan kelembaban ruang server kemudian ditampilkan dalam LCD 16x2. Data suhu dan kelembaban ditampilkan juga ke dalam website dengan menggunakan IP address tertentu yang sebelumnya board arduino telah terhubung dengan ethernet shield. Suhu yang melebihi 270C akan menyalakan relay dan kipas serta sistem akan mengirim peringatan sms secara otomatis kepada administrator ruang server melalui sistem sms secara periodik hanya setiap tiga detik. Sistem peringatan sms akan berhenti jika suhu kurang 270C.

Abstract

The guitar has become common entertainment show at the moment. Devices Arduino controller board is present as a central processing for a variety of processing requirements, one of which is processing the sound. So the goal is achieved from this study was to test the Arduino as a controller device that is used in the effect processing. This study uses the waterfall method of development. Steps being taken begins with identifying needs and then proceed with the process of designing both the hardware and software. Then proceed with the testing design. In the testing phase used 3 kinds of testing, those are hardware testing, test using the software, and testing using respondents. The test results showed that the Arduino can be used as a controller of guitar sound processing with two inputs and outputs. It was also found that the true bypass pedal interface can change the path of the guitar input to be routed directly to the output. Other interfaces available on the system is also functioning as it should and can set values that affect the processing of voice. Based on the test results with the respondents, producing a sound that is quite good, has a full feature, and quite easy to operate.

Abstract

High growth in vehicle, contribute air pollution and reduce human health quality. One of pollutants that generated by motor vehicle emissions is carbon monoxide (CO). CO gas can cause health problems for humans, even if exposed to long periods time will cause death. Emission test devices have been widely available in many auto repair shops, but at the moment emission testing, only read gas source or emissions sources from the muffler hole. Cabin space usually escaped from checking, whether there is pollution that enters the cabin or not. This final project has a purpose to design a carbon monoxide detector devices which will show the levels of carbon monoxide (CO) into 4 categories of air quality,that are safe, wary, watch out, and danger. System will automatically warning the driver if the gas exceeds the threshold. Microcontroller that used as the central data processing data is microcontroller Atmega 8, by ATMEL and use gas censor TGS 2442. Design begin with a hardware schematic and software design using BASCOM-AVR. Implementation phase include the implementation of the physical device, programs, and censor. Testing phase is done by testing the tool using 3 gas source, that are cigarette smoke, motorcycle exhaust, and car exhaust. The test result showed that the highest error rate on these tool when compared with a comparable gas analyzer scott instruments is 6.46%, with 93.54% accuracy rate. This CO gas monitor hasadvantage easily portable and include three actuators, that are LCD will show the levels of CO gas, buzzer will give warning sound when gas exceeds the threshold, and the vibrating motor provide tactile warning to the user.

Abstract

Today, the growth of technology is very fast causes people more familiar with the Internet. Web servers are required to more quickly in order to serve a number of user request. Technology uses a single server is underprivileged to handle the load on the web server traffic as the number of users increases, causing the server to fail in serving the request. Technology on cluster server with load balancer is used in order to divide the load evenly so that optimize performance on a web server. Server cluster systems that are designed using six virtual machines using VirtualBox application. Six virtual machine consists of two load balancer servers, two application servers and two database servers. Definition of the system created by outlining system requirements and network topology. System design describes requirements specification of the hardware and software. Analysis and testing conducted to determine the performance of the system designed. Analysis and testing conducted to determine the performance of the system designed. Results of this research is the design of virtual servers that can serve a number of user request. Test result showed maximum ability to serve when all servers are up reach 240 connection, one of the aplication server down is 180 connection and one of the database down is 220.The optimal result when all servers up is 180 connections, one of the aplication server down is 150 connections and when database server down is 160 connections.
