Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh perbedaan variasi bahasa masyarakat dalam satu wilayah bahasa yang bisa mengakibatkan perbedaan pemahaman. Seperti diungkapkan dalam geografi dialek bisa saja hal tersebut dilatarbelakangi oleh lapisan masyarakat berdasar usia, pekerjaan ataupun pendidikan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif, dengan observasi, wawancara, kuesioner dan analisis padan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk memperoleh gambaran mengenai kondisi kebahasaan masyarakat Pangandaran Kecamatan Sidamulih khususnya dalam kajian fonologi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menjelaskan dialek masyarakat kecamatan Sidamulih Pangandaran yang berkaitan dengan fonologi, yaitu penambahan vokal ataupun konsonan dalam kata yang digunakan dan perbedaan semantis dari variasi bahasa yang digunakan. ABSTRACTThis research is motivated by language variation differences in one area of the language that can lead to differences in understanding. As expressed in the geography of the dialect, it can be caused by the differenciation of the society based on age, occupation or education. The method used is descriptive method, with observation, interview, questionnaire and comparative analysis. The purpose of this study is to obtain a description of the language condition of Pangandaran people in Sidamulih especially in the study of phonology. The results of this study explain the dialect Pangandaran people in Sidamulih that related with phonology. It reveals that there is the addition of vowel or consonant in the word used and the semantic difference of language variation used.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kemampuan menulis proposal skripsi mahasiswa Departemen Pendidikan Bahasa Daerah FPBS yang masih rendah, karena belum ada model pembelajaran menulis proposal skripsi yang tepat. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya model pembelajaran menulis proposal skripsi yang efektif dan efisien. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan menulis proposal penelitian (skripsi)  mahasiswa sebelum dan setelah menggunakan model writing worshop. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan sumber data 55 mahasiswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian rata-rata pretest diketahui 66,00 dan rata-rata posttest sebesar 83,18, dengan t hitung adalah 27,755. Maka, dapat disimpulkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menulis proposal skripsi sebelum dan setelah menggunakan model writing workshop. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model Wiritng Workshop  dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis proposal skripsi mahasiswa Departemen Pendidikan Bahasa Daerah FPBS Tahun Akademik 2017-2018. AbstractThis research is motivated by the ability to write thesis proposal of the Department ofSundanese Language Education Department of FPBS which is still insufficient, because there is lack of learning model of appropriate writing  thesis proposal. Therefore, it is necessary to have a learning model of writing an effective and efficient thesis proposal. The purpose of this study is to describe students’ ability to write research thesis proposals before and after utilizing writing model workshop. The method used in this research is quasi experiment involving 55 students as data source. Based on the result of research, it showed that pretest score  average is 66,00 and post test score average equal to 83,18, with  27,755 t count. Thus, it can be assumed that there is a significant difference between the ability of students in writing thesis proposal before and after utilizing  writing workshop model. Thus, it can be concluded that writing workshop model can improve students ability to write thesis proposal in the Department of Sundanese Language Education  of FPBS in 2017-2018 academic year.

Abstract

Local culture often inherits a patriarchal view that regards women as the second gender category. However, this stereotyped view is only partially correct, especially when looking at the extent to which Sundanese culture views, defines, and places the role of women. Women in the local Sundanese culture have a role as balance keepers in the sense of anthropocentrism. This study aims to describe the role of women as anthropocentric subjects in Sundanese culture. The data of this study were taken from the film Ambu (2019), which represents women's roles in the Sundanese culture, especially as shown in the Baduy tribe. This study is descriptive-qualitative. It used Fairclough's Critical Discourse Analysis approach. This framework enables the film to be studied through its discursive dialogues and scenes, examining how these elements reflect and engage with social and cultural practices. The findings show that the film portrays a representation of women through Ambu Misnah, who embodies gender balance in Sundanese culture, challenging traditional views of domestication. As a cultural symbol connected to Sunan Ambu, her role contrasts with liberal feminist ideals, highlighting a more localized form of female empowerment. Furthermore, the language used by a male character, specifically the head of the Baduy Tribe, reflects a transfer of authority, signaling a shift in gender-power relations. Thus, these findings emphasize an anthropocentric awareness of the role of women, particularly within the Sundanese community.

Abstract

The research is motivated by the phenomenon of code mixing in the iconic interview compilation, the case of "Mayat dalam Gentong", which went viral again on the for your page of the TikTok account @c45sat on August 24, 2024, which was watched 8.1 million times. This article will describe the form, shape and factors that influence the process of code mixing in the interview compilation. The research uses a descriptive method, with documentation techniques and interactive analysis. The results of this study found that the form of code mixing into, includes insertions dominated by 21 Sundanese words, and 3 Sundanese phrases were found to be inserted. Then, the form of code mixing, there are 20 sentences containing elements of code mixing with a total of 24 linguistic elements consisting of Sundanese words and phrases inserted into Indonesian. Artikel ini akan mendeskripsikan bentuk, wujud dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi proses terjadinya campur kode dalam kompilasi wawancara tersebut. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif, dengan teknik dokumentasi dan analisis interaktif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menemukan bahwa bentuk campur kode ke dalam, meliputi penyisipan yang didominasi dengan 21 kata bahasa Sunda, serta ditemukan 3 frasa bahasa Sunda yang disisipkan. Kemudian, wujud campur kode, terdapat 20 kalimat yang mengandung unsur campur kode dengan total 24 unsur kebahasaan yang terdiri dari kata dan frasa bahasa Sunda yang disisipkan ke dalam bahasa Indonesia. Terakhir bahasa Sunda sebagai bahasa ibu merupakan faktor yang berpengaruh.Katakunci: campur kode, ikonik; wawancara

Abstract

This study aims to explore the use of humorous speech acts in the Barakatak column of Manglé magazine as a reflection of pragmatic communication within the Sundanese cultural context. Humor in local, regionally-based media plays a vital role in conveying social criticism and preserving the existence of indigenous languages. However, linguistic research on local humor—especially from a pragmatic perspective—remains notably limited. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method with a pragmatic approach. The data consist of humorous texts extracted from the Barakatak column in the September–October editions. Various types of speech acts were identified, including locutionary, illocutionary, and perlocutionary acts. Furthermore, each entry was found to contain humor functions such as commissive, impositive, expressive, and assertive functions. Lastly, numerous forms of sociocultural criticism were discovered, illustrating the embodiment of local wisdom in Sundanese culture. The analysis of eleven Barakatak entries revealed key patterns in speech acts, humor functions, and cultural context. These findings indicate that the humor presented in Barakatak serves not merely as entertainment, but also as an effective and nuanced form of cultural communication for articulating social criticism within the Sundanese community.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kebijakan bahasa yang digunakan oleh majalah Manglé dalam memproduksi majalah berbahasa daerah dan kaitannya dengan kebijakan bahasa yang dikeluarkan oleh pemerintah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif analisis dan teknik wawancara. Kebijakan bahasa yang digunakan dalam produksi majalah Manglé adalah menggunakan bahasa jurnalistik dan tidak mengutamakan bahasa dialek tertentu. Manglé tetap menjadi sarana pelestarian bahasa daerah melalui media hiburan cetak. Penelitian ini dengan secara detail menlusuri strategi-strategi yang dilakukan Manglé untuk bias bertahan di era perkembangan teknologi media massa. Dengan menyintas segala tantangan yang dihadapi Manglé, majalah ini berhasil secara konsisten mempertahankan prinsipnya dalam melestarikan kekayaan budaya Sunda dengan menerbitkan edisi akhirnya yang ke-3000.

Abstract

This community service initiative aims to develop the competencies of Balinese local language teachers regarding the Independent Curriculum through a Focus Group Discussion (FGD). This is critically needed due to challenges stemming from comprehensive changes across all sectors, particularly in the post-Covid-19 pandemic era. The activity involved the participation of local language teachers and lecturers from UNDIKSHA Bali a higher education institution producing graduates in Balinese language education. Thus, it is expected that both lecturers and teachers will comprehend the essence of the Independent Curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar) within the context of local language subjects. The initiative commenced with problem identification, followed by developing learning outcomes and formulating well-targeted solutions. After the FGD implementation, lecturers and teachers will be able to execute the Independent Curriculum in Balinese language subjects, particularly at the university level, preparing future graduates to skillfully implement it in their respective schools.
