Abstract

The number of residents who live in the border area of the province of Papua and the Country of Papua New Guinea (PNG) is 129,835 persons or 4.6% of the total population of Papua. Some of these settlements are still isolated and far behind in terms of education, health, and economic and their economic conditions are still below the poverty line. Government efforts to raise living standards through the provision of logistical needs of border communities are still hampered by the difficulty of accessibility that exists in the area. The results of this study indicate that the logistic needs of border communities have not been evenly distributed, and this is not caused by the lack of integration among transportation modes alone. The problems include thelogistics needs which are stopped at one of the modes of service, the occurrence of damage, and goods needed by people do not reach the border areas where the people live. To address these problems, there is a need for strategies and policies to deal with the transportation network system to distribute needed logisticsby optimizing existing transportation infrastructure, accelerating and improving the transportation infrastructure, improving inter-modal coordination, and improving management of transportation logistics.Keywords: border areas, transportation networks, inter-modal coordination, logistics management

Abstract

Potential demand of sea transport for containers will grow rapidly along with the development of the processing industry in the region development of the integrated economic and regional strategies or Economic Corridor in the Master Plan of the Accelaration and Expansion of Indoneisa Economic Development in Eastern Indonesia. There were changes in the function of the port into a multipurpose port serving conventional and container freight. The problem that arises is the pier and container handling facility requires adjustment unless neither special container port Makassar and Bitung, nor the limited land development for land side facilities. Geometric conditions of the road connecting the port to the hinterland and have not planned for container services. Collector and feeder ports require adjustments to the revitalization of demand load wheels and multi-pack.

Abstract

Abstract  Thriving city sporadically in suburban areas will form a mega urban. The condition occurs due to the construction of housing clusters spread and done without following land use policy and the development progress across intercity or inter-district administrative area. The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the development of mega cities of the transport infrastructure network in suburban areas and to analyze the integration of urban development and the concept of transport infrastructure networks development. The location of this study is the development area of the City of Makassar, which is in the east and in the south of the city. Data were obtained through direct observation of various land use and development of road networks and transportation nodes. These studies found that the City of Makassar extends horizontally to the south and east with many low intensity buildings spread sporadically and form a mega urban without following the hierarchy of road network and without public transport services. Also, the development of the City of Makassar has caused high people mobility toward service centers in the city. Keywords: mega urban, land use, transport, road network, mobility  Abstrak Kota yang berkembang secara sporadis di wilayah suburban akan membentuk mega urban. Kondisi tersebut terjadi akibat pembangunan kluster perumahan yang menyebar dan dilakukan tanpa mengikuti kebijakan tata ruang, dan perkembangan pembangunan melintasi wilayah administratif antarkota atau antarkabupaten. Tujuan studi ini adalah mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis perkembangan kota mega terhadap jaringan prasarana transportasi di wilayah suburban dan menganalisis keterpaduan pengembangan kota terhadap konsep pengembangan jaringan prasarana transportasi. Lokasi penelitian ini adalah wilayah perkembangan Kota Makassar, yaitu di wilayah timur dan di wilayah selatan kota. Data diperoleh melalui pengamatan langsung terhadap berbagai guna lahan dan perkembangan jaringan jalan serta simpul-simpul transportasi. Hasil studi ini menunjukkan bahwa Kota Makassar meluas secara horizontal ke arah selatan dan timur dengan jumlah bangunan berintensitas rendah yang menyebar secara sporadis membentuk mega urban tanpa mengikuti hirarki jaringan jalan dan tanpa pelayanan angkutan umum. Selain itu perkembangan Kota Makassar yang ada menyebabkan terjadinya mobilitas penduduk yang tinggi menuju ke pusat-pusat pelayanan di kota. Kata-kata kunci: mega urban, tata ruang, transportasi, jaringan jalan, mobilitas

Abstract

Cultivating seaweed grow strong along the coast of Bantaeng Regency, mainly in Tappanjeng, Palantikang Letta, Lembang and Lamala Thus production centers are growing with working group of fishermen community. Activities are growing stronger in the arterial roadside along the coast and also in set back line. The impact is the risk of traffic accidents, caused by the activities such as: rope seed  and product carriage have to cross the arterial road. The purpose of this discussion is to analyse transport network and modes to seaweed activity. Datas obtained from interviews with seaweed Farmers/Fishermen who live along arterial roads. Also from Farmers/Fishermen who were drying seaweed production. The result showed arterial network capacity is still adequate in Bantaeng. Traffic volume is relatively low together with traffic accidents, although the accessibility of fishing is very strong on arterial road. In the future needs to arrange and develop river transport for seaweed farmer’s residential also to accommodate seaweed seed binding and drying activity in some watersheds, namely Kaili, Biyangloe, and others.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstrak Metode pelengkungan kayu solid merupakan salah satu metode pelengkungan kayu yang saat ini masih terus dikembangkan untuk mendapatkan metode pelengkungan kayu yang lebih efisien. Namun, metode ini memerlukan peralatan dan teknik yang khusus. Pemilihan benda uji dari jenis kayu yang banyak digunakan untuk pembuatan furniture dan bahan konstruksi di kota Makassar, salah satunya adalah kayu jati putih. Penelitian ini ingin menemukan hubungan dimensi dan karakter lengkungan kayu yang ideal tanpa perlakuan awal, maka rumusan masalahnya adalah berapa jarak radius lengkung kayu jati putih dengan ketebalan 0,5 cm, 0,7 cm dan 1 cm yang dapat dipakai sebagai ornamen arsitektur bentuk bebas. Lalu, adakah hubungan radius lengkung kayu jati putih dengan ketebalan kayu, lebar kayu dan waktu saat kayu dilengkungkan. Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis radius lengkung kayu jati putih dengan ketebalan 0,5 cm, 0,7 cm dan 1 cm yang dapat dipakai sebagai ornamen arsitektur bentuk bebas dan mengungkapkan hubungan radius lengkung kayu jati putih dengan ketebalan kayu, lebar kayu dan waktu saat kayu dilengkungkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental untuk menganalisis datanya dan metode skala 1 : 1 atau Performance Based untuk metode pengujian sampelnya. Hasil penelitiannya adalah nilai radius terbesar dari tebal 0,5 cm adalah 35,47 cm, tebal 0,7 cm adalah 65,42 cm dan tebal 1 cm adalah 91,73 cm. Untuk waktu lengkung yang dapat bertahan lebih lama juga dengan ketebalan 0,5 cm yaitu selama 1 hari. Maka hubungan radius lengkung dengan ketebalan kayu jati putih sangat erat, dimana semakin tebal kayu maka semakin besar radius lengkung kayu jati putih. Abstract

The transportation system and land use have a reciprocal relationship. Therefore, the construction of the Trans Sulawesi railway will significantly impact the surrounding land use. Additionally, the introduction of rail-based alternative transportation modes will inevitably influence future demand for the movement of people and goods. Therefore, coordination among various stakeholders is essential to integrate rail-based transportation services and development with spatial planning. The objective of this activity is to conduct outreach to policymakers and implementers to integrate the rail-based transportation system with spatial planning. The research method employed involves participatory socialization and discussions with relevant stakeholders. The output of this activity shows an increase in stakeholder understanding and awareness of the importance of integration between transportation systems and land use. The increase in the number of participants who understand the importance of spatial planning in supporting the South Sulawesi multimodal transportation system increased from 77.52% to 91% after the socialization.

Abstract

Bulukumba Regency is one of the regencies that offers diverse natural and cultural potential. The beauty of the beach panorama is one of the attractions in Bulukumba Regency, including located in the Tanjung Bira Beach Area to Lemo-Lemo Beach. The great potential tourism must continue to be preserved and sustainable. Sustainable coastal tourism planning is a concept that emphasizes environmental, economic and social/cultural aspects. Sustainable tourism planning in Bulukumba Regency, especially in the Tanjung Bira and Lemo-lemo tourism areas, must be supported by stakeholders including the Tourism, Youth and Sports Office. The purpose of the implementation of this activity is to provide strategies or directions in ensuring the sustainability of the Tanjung Bira and Lemo-lemo tourist areas with the concept of sustainable coastal tourism planning. The targets of this activity were the Head, Secretary, Staff at the Tourism, Youth and Sports Office as tourism policy makers in Bulukumba Regency. Evaluation was carried out before and after the activity to measure the achievement of the activity by identifying stakeholder knowledge about sustainable coastal tourism planning policies. Activities were carried out through socialization and explanation of research results and policy directions that can be carried out in ensuring the sustainability of tourism in Tanjung Bira and Lemo-lemo, Bulukumba Regency accompanied by visualization in October 2024. The results showed that 50% did not know about sustainable coastal tourism policies, 6.3% answered undecided and 43.8% already knew. After socialization, the results showed that 87.5% already knew and 12.5% still did not understand this policy
