Abstract

Abstrak Guru perlu memperhatikan penguasaan konseptual siswa dan menyampaikan materi dengan jelauntuk mengurangi kesalahpahaman pada konsep IPA. Oleh karena itu perlu menggunakan media pembelajaran yang tepat untuk mendukung proses pembelajaran. Media kartu pintar tumbuhan dengan topik Gerak Tumbuhan terbukti membantu siswa mengembangkan penguasaan konseptual dan menumbuhkan minat belajar siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh media kartu pintar tumbuhan berbasis science edutainment terhadap minat belajar dan pemahaman konseptual pada tema Gerak Tumbuhan. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain eksperimen quasi experimental design. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 37 Semarang dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas VIII. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata nilai posttest pemahaman konsep siswa siswa kelas eksperimen adalah 86,875 sedangkan kelas kontrol 78,625 dengan rb=0,63. Hasil penilaian minat belajar siswa yang diukur melalui lembar observasi menunjukkan rata-rata kelas eksperimen 90,469 > rata-rata kelas kontrol 85,219 dan didapat rb=0,63. Abstract Teacher needs to pay attention on students’ conceptual mastery and deliver the material clearly to reduce the misconception .Therefore it is necessary to use appropriate instructional media to support the learning process. Media of smart cards with plants topic is proved to help students develop their conceptual mastery and grow their learning interest. The purpose of this research is to find the influence of smart card media based on science edutainment towards conceptual mastery in Plant in Motion theme. This research used quasi experimental design and conducted in SMP 37 Semarang carrying with 8th grader as the subject. The research result shows average score posttest of experiment group is 86,875 while control group is78,625 with rb = 0,63 . Students’ learning interest shows the average of experiment group 90,469 was higher than average control group 85,219.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan CTL berbasis SETS terhadap pemahaman konsep dan karakter siswa. Desain dari penelitian ini adalah quasi experiment, nonequivalent control group design. Sampel diambil secara pusposive sampling dan didapatkan kelas VIII F sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII H sebagai kelas kontrol. Data penelitian ini adalah data nilai posttest dan data observasi karakter siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai posttest kelas eksperimen adalah 79,67 dan kelas kontrol 74,38. Hasil analisis korelasi biserial 0,417 dan koefisien determinasi 17%. Berdasarkan observasi, hasil analisis korelasi spearman adalah 0,51 untuk karakter jujur, 0,49 untuk toleransi, 0,55 disiplin, 0,58 rasa ingin tahu, dan 0,73 untuk karakter peduli lin gkungan. Hasil koefisien determinasi adalah 26% untuk kerakter jujur, toleransi 24%, disiplin 30%, rasa ingin tahu 34%, dan peduli lingkungan 53%. Abstract This study aimed to determine the influence of CTL based SETS approach towards understanding concept and character of students. The study design was quasi experimental design of nonequivalent control group design. The sample was taken by using purposive sampling technique which resulted class VIII F as experimental class and class VIII H as control class. The data consisting of the posttest value and the observation of students character by observer. The result of this study showed that average of posttest value experiment class 79.67 and control class 74.38. The resulted of biserial correlation analysis 0.417 and coefficient of determination17%. Based on the observation, the resulted of spearman correlation analysis are 0.51 for honestly character, 0.49 for tolerance, 0.55 for discipline, 0.58 for curiosity, and 0.73 for care about environment. The resulted of coefficient determination are honestly 26%, tolerance 24%, 30% for discipline, 34% for curiosity, and 53% care about environment.

Abstract

Abstrak _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Kebutuhan terhadap bahan ajar yang dapat meningkatkan kemandirian belajar dan hasil belajar peserta didik menuntut guru untuk dapat membuat bahan ajar yang ideal. Bahan ajar yang dapat mengaitkan materi dengan fenomena dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dapat memudahkan peserta didik dalam memahami materi. Kebermaknaan dalam pembelajaran juga dibutuhkan dalam mata pelajaran IPA agar peserta didik dapat mengetahui manfaat pembelajaran yang dilakukan. SETS merupakan pendekatan yang mengaitkan materi dengan aspek sains, lingkungan, teknologi, dan masyarakat dalam pembelajaran. Penerapan pendekatan SETS pada bahan ajar sangat ideal untuk memudahkan peserta didik dalam memahami materi serta belajar menyelesaikan permasalahan dalam pembelajaran secara mandiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh modul kontekstual berpendekatan SETS terhadap hasil belajar dan kemandirian peserta didik kelas VII SMP. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah kelas VII A-VII H SMP Negeri 10 Semarang tahun pelajaran 2015/2016, sedangkan sampel diambil dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling sehingga diperoleh kelas VII C sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII D sebagai kelas kontrol. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah nonequivalent control group design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan modul berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar dan kemandirian peserta didik. Hal tersebut dilihat dari hasil korelasi yang menunjukkan korelasi penggunaan modul dengan kemandirian, hasil belajar afektif, dan hasil belajar psikomotorik dalam kategori kuat, dan dalam kategori sangat kuat pada hasil belajar kognitif. Besar pengaruh penggunaan modul terhadap kemandirian sebesar 60,22% berdasarkan data observasi, dan 47,61% berdasarkan data angket. Sedangkan besar pengaruh penggunaan modul terhadap hasil belajar kognitif adalah sebesar 82,81% berdasarkan data posttest dan 42,25% berdasarkan data nilai tugas. Penggunaan modul juga mempengaruhi hasil belajar afektif sebesar 46,10% berdasarkan data observasi; 73,44% berdasarkan data angket penilaian diri; 51,02% berdasarkan data angket penilaian teman, serta mempengaruhi hasil belajar psikomotorik sebesar 59,91% berdasarkan data observasi. Berdasarkan data tersebut, penggunaan modul kontekstual berpendekatan SETS berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar dan kemandirian peserta didik. Abstract __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The need for teaching materials to improve the independence learning and learning outcomes of students requires teachers to be able to create the ideal teaching materials. Teaching materials that can associate with the material phenomena in everyday life can be easier for students to understand the material. Meaningfulness in learning is also needed in the science subjects so that learners can understand the benefits of learning to do. SETS is an approach that associates the material to aspects of science, environment, technology, and society in learning. Implementation SETS approach on teaching materials is ideal to facilitate learners to understand the material and learn to solve problems in learning independently.This study aims to investigate the influence of contextual modules with SETS approach to the learning outcomes and student independence of class VII. The population in this study is a class VII A-VII H Junior High School 10 Semarang academic year 2015/2016, while samples were taken by using purposive sampling techniques derived class VII C as the experimental class and class VII D as the control class. The study design used is nonequivalent control group design. The results showed that the use of the modules influence on learning outcomes and student independence. It is seen from the correlation results that showed a correlation with the use of module independence of students, learning outcomes affective and psychomotor learning outcomes in the strong category, and the category is very strong on the cognitive learning. The influence of the use of the module against the independence of 60.22% based on observational data, and 47.61% based on questionnaire data. Whereas, the effect of the use on the cognitive learning modules are based on data amounted to 82.81% and 42.25% posttest based on data value tasks. The use of modules also affect the results of affective learning of 46.10% based on observational data; 73.44% based on the self-assessment questionnaire data; 51.02% based on assessment questionnaire data of friends, as well as affect psychomotor learning outcomes of 59.91% based on observational data. Based on these data, the use of contextual modules with SETS approach influence on learning outcomes and student independence .

Abstract

English Language Teaching in Integrated Science Department is often challenging to train students to understand science content in English and present it fluently. In the implementation of daily lecturing activities Basic English theories such as grammatical structure and IPA content are taught separately. This causes no integration between the two materials. Based on the problems an instructional material that integrates the basic theory of English and science content is needed to support the learning activities. This product is designed to improve previously unstructured instructional materials. The product developed through lesson study stages. In the Plan stage, the need analysis and product development were conducted. While at the Do stage, the instructional material was implemented in the learning process. Finally is the See stage, this stage is a reflection on the whole process of lecturing both in the process and products used. The instructional material was validated by language, content and media experts and it can be said to be feasible to use in the learning process. Then the product was used in learning process and can help students to improve the English proficiency in science with an average of 80.

Abstract

This research was done in SMP 4 Kudus. This research aimed to unveil the influence of problem-based learning with SETS approach to students’ problem-solving skills and environmental awareness. This research was a quasi-experimental research with control group design. The sampling used purposive sampling technique. The samples of this research were VII A class (experiment class) and VII B class (control class). The data were collected by using tests, observation, and self-assessment. The analysis showed that problem-based learning with SETS influenced students problem-solving skills in 56.3%. Experiment class students’ problem-solving skills were better than the control class proved from the t-test analysis where tcount > ttable. Based on the analysis of man witney test, the average score of environmental awareness in control class and experiment class known as Zcount of 4.01 and Ztable of 1.96. The average percentage of students’ responses was 84.9% in a very good category. In conclusion, problem-based learning with SETS approach influences students’ problem-solving skills and their environmental awareness.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to develop the science of winning track games that can accommodate communication skills. This research is development research using Borg, Gall and Gall research model which quoted from Sugiyono (2013), that there are ten steps in the implementation of research and development strategy. The study sample was purposive, they were students of SMP Negeri 3 Semarang. In a small-scale trial, 16 students were drawn from class VIII, and large-scale trials were conducted in class VII E. Data collection methods used were interviews, questionnaires, observation. The final data analysis includes media and material feasibility analysis, readability analysis of teachers and learners, and communication skills analysis. The conclusion are (1) Science winning track games is a media successfully developed and declared feasible (2) Science winning track games media is effective to identify communication skill of student. It proof by increasing the average score of the students from 66.67% in the first meeting to 100% in the third meeting.

Abstract

This study intends to reveal the influence of PBL on heat and its transfer topic toward the students' problem-solving skills and scientific attitudes. The design of this study was quasi-experimental with the nonequivalent control group. The samples consisted of the students of VII A (experimental class) and VII B (control class) selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through observation and tests. The results showed that the value of the correlation coefficient obtained based on the posttest of students' problem-solving skills was r = 0.728. Moreover, the t-test analysis on the value of the correlation coefficient of problem solving skill scored t count = 6.58, which indicated the existence of a dependent influence or relationship. The significance of the effect was seen from the coefficient of determination score of 56.25%. Besides, there were 75% of the students gave a positive response to the learning process. Thus, it concludes that the PBL on heat and its transfer topic has affected the students' problem-solving skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) Mengembangkan asesmen alternatif pada praktikum kimia dasar II melalui chemistry fair project berbasis konservasi dengan memanfaatkan daily chemical(2) Mengetahui tingkat kevalidan, kepraktisan dan keefektifannya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (Development Research) Model pengembangan yang diterapkan Dick dan Carey (1985). Subjek uji coba terbatas maupun subjek uji coba lapangan adalah dosen dan mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan IPA UNNES. Sampel ditentukan secara purposive, yaitu dosen pengampu dan mahasiswa yang menempuh mata kuliah Praktikum Kimia Dasar II. Data yang diperoleh dari uji coba ini adalah: (1) masukan dari pakar, untuk menentukan validitas isi dan konstruk dari fitur asesmen; (2) masukan dari sampel uji coba terbatas, untuk menentukan kepraktisan petunjuk chemistry fair project (CFP) berbasis konservasi dengan memanfaatkan daily chemical ; Instrumen pengumpul data berupa angket keterbacaan petunjuk pembuatan chemistry fair project (CFP) berbasis konservasi dengan memanfaatkan daily chemical, pedoman penskoran. (3) data hasil belajar siswa untuk mengetahui efektivitas asesmen. Masukan dari pakar angket mahasiswa, dan nilai chemistry fair project (CFP) sampel ujicoba terbatas dianalisis secara kualitatif, dan kuantitatif. Asesmen alternative Praktikum Kimia Dasar II yang dikembangkan dikatakan berhasil baik apabila asesmen yang dikembangkan valid, praktis, dan efektif.

Abstract

Higher order thinking skills are an important part of the 21st century because it demands that a teacher be able to foster students' thinking abilities. In addition, the demands for special skills that need to be empowered in learning activities that must be possessed are collaboration skills. The results of the observations show that SMP N 38 Semarang still needs to be developed to deliver students to have higher-order thinking skills and collaboration abilities. Problem-based motion graphic video media is one of the media developed to train higher-order thinking skills and collaboration skills of students. The results of the feasibility analysis of the media before being tested were very feasible with an average percentage of 95.8% of the results of the media experts and 92.6% of the results of the validation of the material experts. The characteristics of video motion graphics are (1) a two-dimensional animation media, (2) the motion graphics developed based on the characteristics of problem-based learning, (3) contain question exercises combined with motion graphics that can train students' high-order thinking skills, (4) there are discussion activities that can train collaboration skills, (5) it can be used anytime and anywhere. The results of the analysis of high-order thinking skills of students got a percentage of 68% in the good category. The results of the discussion analysis on collaboration ability get a percentage of above 62.5% in the very good category and the good category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model group investigation berbantuan science chain card tema gerak terhadap kemampuan berpikir logis dan keterampilan berkomunikasi siswa beserta besar pengaruhnya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen menggunakan posttest only group design. Sampel diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dari populasi siswa kelas VIII SMP 1 Kudus tahun 2016, diperoleh kelas VIII G sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII H sebagai kelas kontrol. Data penelitian ini didapatkan dari nilai posttest hasil belajar kognitif siswa yang disusun berdasarkan lima indikator kemampuan berpikir logis serta nilai keterampilan berkomunikasi yang diperoleh melalui tiga kali observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai koefisien korelasi berdasarkan posttest kemampuan berpikir logis siswa adalah r = 0,13. Hasil analisis uji t terhadap nilai koefisien korelasi kemampuan berpikir logis memperlihatkan t hitung = 3,00 yang berarti bahwa ada pengaruh signifikan. Besarnya pengaruh ditunjukkan oleh  nilai koefisien determinasi (KD) yang diperoleh sebesar 1,00 %. Hasil analisis observasi keterampilan berkomunikasi siswa menunjukkan nilai koefisien korelasi yang diperoleh adalah r = 0,75. Hasil analisis uji t terhadap nilai koefisien korelasi keterampilan berkomunikasi memperlihatkan t hitung = 10,8 yang berarti bahwa ada pengaruh signifikan. Besarnya pengaruh ditunjukkan oleh  nilai koefisien determinasi (KD) yang diperoleh sebesar 58,00 %. Hasil analisis penelitian juga menunjukkan besarnya pengaruh keterampilan berkomunikasi siswa terhadap kemampuan berpikir logis selama pembelajaran group investigation berbantuan science chain card adalah sebesar 1,00 %. Dapat disimpulan bahwa group investigation berbantuan science chain card tema gerak berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir logis dan keterampilan berkomunikasi siswa.
