Abstract

Contact dermatitis is the occurrence of dermatitis (skin inflammation) accompanied by spongiosis or intracellular edema in the epidermis due to interactions between the skin and irritants or chemicals. These ingredients can be toxic or allergic. This study aims to determine the factors that can cause the incidence of irritant contact dermatitis in fish traders. This research was conducted in January – February 2024 using a quantitative approach with a cross sectional design. The sample in this study amounted to 65 people obtained using simple random sampling techniques. Data collection uses questionnaires and examinations by health workers. The data analysis method uses the Chi-Square test. The results of the study showed that there was a relationship between age (p= 0.002), personal hygiene (p= 0.005), length of exposure (p= 0.005), use of PPE (p= 0.001), and provision of clean water (p= 0.004) with the incidence of contact dermatitis to fish traders. There was no relationship between gender (p= 0.532) and length of service (p= 1.000) with the incidence of contact dermatitis in fish traders at Aur Duri Market, Jambi City.

The number of samples was 66 workers who were taken by proportional random sampling. The data obtained were analyzed with the chi-square test. Workers who experience work postures with a RULA value of 7 must implement changes as quickly as possible as many as 10 workers (15.2%), workers who experience work postures with a RULA value of 5-6 must carry out investigations and immediate improvements as many as 17 workers (25.8) , Workers who have a work posture with a RULA value of 3-4 may need a change of 21 workers (31.8%), Workers who have a work posture with a RULA value of 1-2 good work postures and can be accepted as many as 18 workers (27.3% ). Workers as many as 50 workers (75.8%) and 17 people (25 , 8%) have an abnormal BMI and are at risk. The factors associated with pain relief under work posture obtained p-value: 0.054 (˃0.05) with a PR value: 1.768 (95% CI: 0.961-3.253), age obtained p- value: 0.014 (< 0, 05) with PR value: 2,240 (95% CI: 1,059-4,738) and BMI obtained p-value: 0,322 (˃0,05) with PR value: 1,237 (95% CI: 0835-1,826). Abstract

Disease (acute respiratory infection) Ari is one type of Environmental-based infectious diseases. In Indonesia, cases of Ari always ranks first cause of infant mortality and the prevalence of Ari disease in Jambi province amounted to 3.2% and in Tanjung Jabung Timur amounted to 4.44%. ISPA in East Tanjung Jabung regency is a disease trend every year. In general, the risk factors for ARI are physical environmental factors, host/host factors, agent factors and social environmental factors. The type of research used is quantitative research with cross sectional design. This study aims to find the relationship between the variable occupancy density, floor type, wall type, ceiling of the house, lighting, smoking family members, maternal knowledge with the incidence of ARI in toddlers. The population in this study were toddlers in the Working Area of the Simpang Pandan Health Center and the sample of this study was 103. Sampling technique in this study using Stratified Random Sampling technique. How data collection is done by interviews, observations, and measurements using tools. The results showed that there is a relationship between : occupancy density (P - value=0.003 and PR = 1.976), floor type (p= 0.014 and PR = 1.874), wall type (p=0.020 and PR = 1.852) lighting (p=0.018 and PR = 1.790), smoking family members (p= 0.020 and PR = 1.852 ) and maternal knowledge (P-value=0.035 and PR = 1.678) with acute respiratory infections in toddlers. While the variables that are not related to the incidence of ARI in this study is the variable ceiling of the House (p-value = 0.968 and PR = 1.080). It is recommended that family members do not smoke in the house, pay attention to the residential density of the House, home lighting, and the type of floor in the House.
