Abstract

The existence of waste at this time was still a problem that hit almost all regions in Indonesia. Keliling Danau Districts in 2019 has produces 33,311 m3 of waste per year with a population of 22,207 people. The purpose of this study was to determine the determinants behavior of waste management in elementary school students at Kerinci Regency, 2021. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge, attitudes, and Availability of Facilities with Waste Management in State Elementary School 52 of Koto Dian students, Kerinci Regency. This research is quantitative with a cross sectional research design. Sampling using random sampling technique with a total sample of 44 students consisted of class III, IV, V to class VI. Data was collected by distributed of questionnaires. Analysis used chi-square test. The results of this study indicate that 18 of 44 (40.9%) respondents with poor behavior of waste management and 26 (59.1%) respondents with good behavior waste management. From the results of the bivariate test, it was found that Knowledge has a PR value = 3.33 CI = 1.73-6.39 and a p-value of 0.001 indicates that there is a relationship between knowledge and behavior of waste management. Attitude has a value of PR = 3.75 CI = 1.62-8.68 and a p-value of 0.001 indicates that there was a relationship between attitude and behavior of waste management and there was not relationship between availability of facilities and behavior of waste management with a p-value of 0.222. The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between knowledge and attitudes with behavior waste management. And the availability of facilities has no relationship between behavior of waste management in elementary school students.

Abstract

The coverage of Toddler Stimulation Detection and Early Developmental Intervention (SDIDTK) at the Talang Banjar Health Center in Jambi City in 2020 was still far from the target set by the Jambi City Health Office and was the lowest coverage in Jambi City. However, scope of program implementation reached 51%. This study aim to evaluate the management implementation of the Stimulation of Detection and Early Intervention for Toddler Growth and Development (SDIDTK) at the Talang Banjar Health Center. This research was a qualitative study. Data collected from juni-august 2022, by in-depth interviews, observation and document review. In-depth interviews were conducted with 8 informants consisting of public health center employees and mothers with toddlers. In the understanding input component of Permenkes number 66 of 2016 was still lacking, there were staff program who have never received training, the number of available facilities and infrastructure was uncompleted. The components of the process of planning, organizing, workshops, supervision and evaluation, recording and reporting have been going well. Health services running by the program was unoptimal. Coverage has not been achieved because the implementation of SDIDTK for toddlers at the Talang Banjar Health Center has not been optimal. Abstract

Backgrounds: Garbage is produced by human activities which if not managed properly will have an impact on environmental hygiene. Paal Merah sub-district is a sub-district in Jambi City with a dense population. Based on data from the Jambi City Environmental Service, the amount of waste generated in the Paal Merah sub-district has increased from year to year. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the factors related to the behavior of waste management in the community in Paal Merah District, Jambi City. Methods: The study was conducted using a cross-sectional design with a sample size of 105 respondents. Results: The results of this study are that there is a relationship between lack of knowledge (p-value 0.044 PR 2.01 95% CI 1.01-4.00), attitude (p-value 0.45 PR 1.63 95% CI 1.11-2 .40), subjective norm (p-value 0.027 PR 1.65 95%CI 1.08-2.52), control of behavior (p-value 0.004 PR 1.92 95%CI 1.33-2.77) with poor waste management. Conclusion: Suggestions for the government to provide facilities and infrastructure and increase socialization about waste management so as to increase control over community behavior in managing waste.

Abstract

Gaya hidup dan aktivitas merusak lingkungan yang dilakukan manusia mengakibatkan perubahan iklim yang menyebabkan bencana kekeringan, banjir yang diakibatkan curah hujan extrem serta kebakaran hutan dan lahan. Ketahanan masyarakat dalam mengurangi dampak negative dari risiko perubahan iklim dilakukan dengan cara upaya pengurangan risiko dengan melalui strategi adaptasi dan mitigasi perubahan iklim yang berfokus kepada meningkatkan pengetahuan, merubah sikap serta perilaku yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kesadaran dan kepedulian. Pengetahuan mengenai mitigasi dan adaptasi perubahan iklim sangat diperlukan bagi siswa usia sekolah untuk melakukan aksi nyata dalam menghadapi tantangan perubahan iklim yang tidak dapat dihindari. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan mengedukasi siswa dengan memberikan penyuluhan mengenai mitigasi dampak perubahan iklim dan gas rumah kaca. Evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan dengan melihat pengetahuan siswa sebelum dan sesudah diberikannya penyuluhan dan didapatkan hasil ada peningkatan nilai rata-rata dan didapatkan nilai p-value 0.000 < 0.05 artinya terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara tingkat pengetahuan sebelum dan sesudah diberikan edukasi.
