Abstract

Pemberian pakan ternak berupa hijauan ataupun makanan tambahan lain yang dilakukan oleh peternak kambing pada umumnya masih bersifat tradisional. Dusun II Sei Nagalawan Kecamatan Perbaungan Serdang Bedagai adalah salah satu desa dimana para peternak kambingnya masih menggunakan cara konvensional dalam pengolahan pakannya. Pakan ternak berupa rumput-rumputan agak cukup terbatas jumlahnya di Dusun II Sei Nagalawan mengakibatkan berkurangnya jumlah peternak kambing di dusun ini. Mitra pengabdian sendiri sempat membuat pakan alternatif dari batang pisang untuk mempertahankan sediaan pakan kambing.  Beberapa tanaman lain yang berpotensi untuk dapat dijadikan pakan ternak kambing cukup banyak dijumpai seperti ubi kayu, jagung, pelepah dan pelepah sawit, hanya saja harus melalui proses pencacahan untuk dapat dikonsumsi dengan aman oleh ternak. Tujuan dari program ini adalah untuk memberikan pelatihan keterampilan kepada mitra peternak kambing dalam mengolah sumber pakan dengan melakukan pengolahan secara mekanis sehingga sediaan pakan ternak kambing dapat dipertahankan. Pencacahan bahan hijauan dengan mesin ini cukup mudah dan memberikan hasil yang cukup tipis sehingga mudah dikonsumsi oleh ternak kambing. Pada pelaksanaan pengabdian, hampir semua jenis pakan seperti batang dan umbi ubi kayu, batang pisang, rumput gajah, batang jagung dan bonggol jagung dapat tercacah dengan sempurnya, hanya saja untuk pelepah sawit hasil cacahan masih menyisakan potongan lidinya. Hasil cacahan mudah disimpan untuk jangka waktu beberapa hari kedepan.

Abstract

The boiler has been shown performance from a number of the transfer convension on energy to product gasses. The type of Fulton 30E, with analyizing capasitively on the 4,5,6,7 and 8 of the gasses quality. The analyzing which is operating the type of Fulton 30E boiler on testing in the Energy Laboratorium Engineering.at the Polytechnic of State Medan. The high pressure will being increasing higher eficiency of boiler’s gasses on 278.65 kg/m and 65,6 %. The conclusion boiler performance are must be maximum of higher pressure conditions.To increasing eficiency had to do the analyzing loses and designing heat recovery of it.

Abstract

In welding work must pay attention to the suitability of the welding construction in order to achieve optimal results. For this reason, welding needs to pay attention to several important things including welding efficiency, energy savings, and of course low costs. The purpose of this study was to determine how the tensile strength of the ST 37 material welded by SMAW welding which was cooled with a variety of cooling media, oil and pure water. The research method used in this research is to use real experimental research methods (True Experimental Research). From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the highest Ultimate Stress (Tu) tensile strength value is when the material is cooled with oil media, where the highest value is 365.15 N/mm2, followed by water cooling media oil, where the highest value is of 347.75 N/mm2, and the lowest is without cooling media where the highest value is 343.35 N/mm2. This is due to the thermal cycle that affects the microstructure of the material, this is what causes the tensile strength of the material to increase when a cooling medium is applied to the ST 37 welding material.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The best decision is the main goal in a problem solving. The decision in det ermining the stock of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) in Palm Oil Mills (PMKS) is very important because it is directly related to the survival of the company. Solutions in solving problems in determining the best quality of CPO as raw material for cooking oil with the desired quality. By using Fuzzy Tsukamoto, it is easier for the processing department to determine the best quality of CPO. To determine the best quality of CPO, data on free fatty acids, water content, impurities and temperature are needed. Based on the tests that have been carried out, the quality of CPO with the input of free fatty acids = 0.7 FFA, water content = 0.23 Moisture, dirt content = 0.25 Dirty and temperature = 98oC in a decent condition, which is 39.48%. The results of the application system for determining the quality of oil palm seeds using the GUI Matlab are 23%, with a difference of 16.48%. In the Matlab application system that has been tested, if the free fatty acid is higher between 0.6-1 and the impurities content is high between 0.24-0.30 then the quality of the CPO produced is rancid. Meanwhile, if the free fatty acid is low between 0-0.3 and normal levels of impurities are between 0.18-0.26, then the quality of CPO is not feasible. Abstract

Jurusan Teknik Mesin Politeknik Negeri Medan (POLMED) mempunyai peralatan praktek dan laboratorium pengelasan (welding) bertaraf internasional. Sejalan dengan kemajuan peralatan ini, cukup banyak staf pengajar pada program studi ini yang sudah memiliki sertifikat pengajar pada bidang pengelasan. Sosialisasi pengelasan program studi ini sudah memperoleh pengakuan dari Lembaga profesi Institute International Welding (IIW) dan The Welding Institute (TWI), sehingga Jurusan Teknik Mesin sudah menjadi Tempat Uji Kompetensi (TUK) sertifikasi Internasional IIW dan TWI. Pengusul program pelatihan pengenalan cacat las standar internasional ini sudah memiliki sertifikat CSWIP (Certificate Scheme Welding Inspection Personnel) 3.0 dari The Welding Institute. SMK IMMANUEL MEDAN memiliki bidang pelatihan kursus Pengelasan, ini berkaitan dengan pembuatan kerangka (chasis & body) kenderaan. Peserta yang mengikuti program ini cukup baik prestasinya dan dipersiapkan dapat memasuki dunia kerja setelah di nyatakan lulus dengan bukti sertifikat. Adalah sangat beralasan SMK IMMANUEL MEDAN ini menerima tawaran program pelatihan pengenalan cacat las standar internasional yang di selengarakan oleh dosen Jurusan Teknik Mesin Politeknik Negeri Medan (POLMED). khusunya untuk mengadakan Sosialisasi inspeksi pengelasan berdasarkan standar TWI. Pengetahuan ini akan mempersiapkan calon lulusan SMK Immanuel untuk memasuki pekerjaan pada bidang pengelasan. Program ini sangat relevan dengan dunia kerja dewasa Dengan pelatihan ini peserta SMK akan memperoleh wawasan bagaimana hasil pengelasan yang memenuhi standar TWI yang merupakan standar yang digunakan secara luas di dunia internasional hal ini di dukung dengan para dosen yang melakukan pengabdian di atas sudah berpengalaman dan memiliki sertifikat dalam pelatihan CSWIP 3.0 (welding Inspector) dalam penggunaan alat ukur welding guage yang akan di sumbangkan kepada SMK Immanuel tersebut. Melalui program ini telah disumbangkan juga modul inspeksi pengelasan dan welding gauge nya sehingga para peserta SMK dapat menggunakannya pada waktu mendatang.

Abstract

Preeclampsia is a serious pregnancy complication characterized by high blood pressure, potentially leading to organ damage, making early risk prediction crucial to reducing maternal morbidity and mortality. This study aims to develop a preeclampsia risk prediction model using medical and clinical data from 80 patients at Rumah Bersalin Sadan. The data include demographic profiles, blood pressure, weight, maternal age, preeclampsia history, body mass index, number of previous pregnancies, as well as genetic and environmental factors. The dependent variable is the risk of preeclampsia, either as a binary outcome (yes/no) or as a continuous risk score. The predictive model was built using multivariate linear regression and the Random Forest algorithm. The results showed that the Random Forest model achieved an accuracy of 65.22%, with an F-statistic of 7.345 and a very small p-value (1.908e-06), indicating that the model effectively explains data variability. However, the low Kappa value suggests room for improvement through feature refinement, hyperparameter tuning, or exploring other algorithms. Although these findings suggest that Random Forest is a promising method, further evaluation and model optimization are needed to enhance predictive performance and determine whether this method is the most suitable for the dataset used.

Abstract

Betta fish is a type of ornamental fish that is very popular during the pandemic, so its selling price has experienced a spike. The reason why this fish is so popular is because of its tiny appearance with unique shape, as well as its extraordinary durability. Betta fish can survive in an aquarium for a long time even if they are not equipped with an aerator or air circulator. Maintenance is relatively easy, cultivation does not require a large space or large capital and can also be done as a home business. Mr. Suwandi, as the prospective service partner, has been running the ornamental fish cultivation business for this type of Betta fish for 5 years, where the fish are kept in tarpaulin fish ponds. There are around 29 fish ponds owned by partners with the number of fish per pond being around 200 to 300. The pool water source is dug well/ring well water where the pool water is replaced every 1.5 months. The quality of pond water greatly influences the sex of the fish produced. Male Betta fish can be sold for IDR 2,000 apiece, while females are only priced at IDR. 300 to 500. Because water quality has a big influence on the selling price, the implementation team added water filter installations after the well and before it flows into the pond. The water quality obtained after carrying out this activity was much better than the water samples obtained previously.

Abstract

Bandar Klippa Village is one of the villages in Percut Sei Tuan sub-district, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province with an area of ​​1,828.4 Ha. In the village of Bandar Klippa, most of the agricultural land out of a total of 575 hectares is planted with corn with an average yield per hectare of 20 tons if there is sufficient rainfall. Generally, corn farmers immediately sell their crops to the factory after they have been harvested. The price of corn if it is sold directly to the factory is around 2800/kg, namely whole corn and the corn cob because the farmers do not yet have a corn sheller. If shelling is done, the price of corn increases to IDR 4,200/kg or almost 2 times that. This service is intended to help corn farmers get added value to their corn yields by providing a corn sheller machine designed by the proposing team and providing training in the use and maintenance of the sheller machine so that it can be used for a long time. After being crushed, the corncobs can also be sold to cattle breeders at a price of around Rp. 1000 to Rp. 2000 for each kilogram. The sheller machine can shell 350 kg of corn every hour
