Abstract

Abstract

A well-prepared abstract enables the reader to identify the basic content of a document quickly and accurately, to determine its relevance to their interests, and thus to decide whether to read the document in its entirety. The Abstract should be informative and completely self-explanatory, provide a clear statement of the problem, the proposed approach or solution, and point out major findings and conclusions. The Abstract should be 100 to 200 words in length. The abstract should be written in the past tense. Standard nomenclature should be used and abbreviations should be avoided. No literature should be cited. The keyword list provides the opportunity to add keywords, used by the indexing and abstracting services, in addition to those already present in the title. Judicious use of keywords may increase the ease with which interested parties can locate our article (9 pt).

Abstract

Nutmeg consists of fruit and seeds that have many uses so that they can be economically valuable and are widely used by various industries, but the process of drying nutmeg seeds still uses conventional methods, namely with the help of sunlight which in the rainy season is difficult to dry quickly, so this research was conducted to overcome this problem by increasing efficiency so that the income of nutmeg farmers increases by reducing the water content in nutmeg seeds in a short time which can be done in a closed room or in an open space using a hot gun as a heat source and the temperature in the drying machine is set to be maintained at 35 0C to 45 0C then the average water content before and after drying and drying time with variations in conveyor speed from 5 cm/s to 25 cm/s.

Abstract

Abstract

This study evaluates an automatic poultry egg incubator designed for 344 chicken eggs. The prototype combines temperature regulation, humidity monitoring, and periodic rack turning to reduce manual handling during a 21-day incubation cycle. The operating temperature is maintained within 38-39°C, while the humidity setting is 55-70%. A digital temperature sensor, hygrometer, Arduino Uno controller, relay module, heating lamp, ventilation fan, and DC rack-turning motor form the sensing-control-actuation chain. Hatching performance was assessed by classifying the 344 incubated eggs into normal hatch, defective hatch, dead embryo, and no-embryo outcomes. The test produced 327 normal chicks, 10 defective chicks, 5 dead embryos, and 2 eggs without embryos. The proportion of normal hatches was 95.06%, indicating that the incubator can sustain the environmental and mechanical conditions required for high-capacity chicken egg incubation. The study emphasises integrated operation and outcome-based performance rather than only controller implementation.

Abstract

The increasing demand for sustainable energy solutions has encouraged the development of renewable energy technologies that can be integrated into various applications, including transportation systems. Wind energy generated from vehicle-induced airflow represents an alternative energy source that remains underutilized due to complex aerodynamic characteristics and unstable flow conditions. This study aimed to optimize the aerodynamic performance of vehicle-mounted axial wind turbine blades by determining the most suitable angle of attack using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations. The research method involved numerical analysis using CFD software to evaluate the aerodynamic behavior of turbine blades under different angle-of-attack variations of 0°, 5°, 10°, 15°, and 20°. Performance evaluation was conducted based on the lift-to-drag ratio and velocity contour distribution to identify the optimal blade configuration. The results showed that the angle of attack significantly affected aerodynamic performance, with the 10° configuration producing the highest lift-to-drag ratio and the most favorable airflow characteristics. Higher angles of attack resulted in increased flow separation and aerodynamic losses, whereas lower angles produced insufficient lift generation. The optimized turbine design consisted of six blades with a rotor diameter of 0.35 m, demonstrating the potential application of vehicle-induced airflow energy harvesting systems. In conclusion, CFD-based optimization provided an effective approach for improving the performance of vehicle-mounted wind turbine blades and supported future development of renewable energy technologies for sustainable transportation applications.
