Abstract

This study is aimed to know the influence of development career and work environment and retention as an intervening variable on the performance of non-permanent civil service (Non-PNS) assigned as educational staff at the Hasanuddin University (Unhas). The research was a quantitative descriptive study with the use of the staff of Non-Permanent Civil Servant Education, called Tendik as respondents, that have been working for 5 to 10 years. Methods of data collection were used through the distribution of questionnaires which is tested the validity and reliability of all items evaluated afterward. Data analysis was performed using Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) version 25 and analysed using path analysis. To evaluate the indirect effect between variables, the study applied the Sobel Test. The result of this study indicates that career development and the work environment have a significant effect on retention. To the second equation evaluated, the retention has a significant effect on performance. Interestingly, career development and the work environment have no significant effect on performance. The career development and the work environment have a significant effect on the performance through retention as an intervening variable.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the impact of interests, security risks, and financial behavior on new tools in transactions (e-money). Five direct relationships have been built resulting in two equations. To evaluate the model, the study distributed questionnaires to 110 respondents from seven different companies. With the use of path analysis, the model is then tested. On the basis of the statistical results, the findings show that consumer interest and safety risk have a positive and significant impact on financial behavior. To the relationship to electronic money, customer interest and financial behavior indicate a positive and significant relationship. Interestingly, customer safety risk did not show an insignificant result.

Abstract

Improving the quality of government services in the era of globalization and digitalization is a demand for the State Civil Apparatus (SCA) to improve its performance. Employee performance is influenced by several factors such as organizational commitment, leadership style, and knowledge sharing. However, the phenomenon that exists in the field today is that the efforts made in building a sense of organization commitment, leadership style, and knowledge sharing of each SCA have not been maximized. This also happened at the Investment and One-Door Integrated Services Office (IODISO) of East Luwu Regency. For this reason, this research is expected to be able to provide solutions to the relevant agencies in improving employee performance. The three factors that have been mentioned are then measured using a questionnaire with question items in the form of a Likert scale that is submitted to each respondent. So the data obtained in the form of quantitative data. This data is then analyzed using path analysis. The analysis showed that organizational commitment and leadership style had a direct positive influence on knowledge sharing significantly. Then organizational commitment, leadership style, and knowledge sharing also have a positive direct effect on employee performance. Whereas organizational commitment and leadership style have an indirect positive influence through knowledge sharing on employee performance. This organizational commitment, leadership style, and knowledge sharing contributed to an influence of 92.1% on employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze (i) the effect of information technology variables on job satisfaction; (ii) the effect of competency variables on job satisfaction; (iii) the effect of information technology variables on work productivity; (iv) the effect of competency variables on work productivity; (v) the effect of job satisfaction variables on work productivity; (vi) the influence of information technology variables on work productivity through job satisfaction variables; and (vii) the effect of competency variables on work productivity through job satisfaction variables. The quantitative approach is used to test and analyze the factors that influence job satisfaction and work productivity. Research location at Hasanuddin University, Makassar City. The population in this study were Unhas employees with the status of ASN (State Civil Apparatus) as many as 935 people. The sampling method uses probability sampling with a simple random sampling technique. Withdrawing the number of samples using the Slovin formula, which produces 90 people as a minimum number. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire with a measurement scale used is a Likert scale with five components. Data analysis techniques in this study used path analysis. The results showed that information technology and competency variables significantly influence job satisfaction and work productivity. Information technology and competence have a significant effect on work productivity through job satisfaction variables. All hypotheses are accepted and supported by previous research.

Abstract

The research objective is to analyze the direct impact of leadership toward transfer knowledge and work effectiveness in Boven Digoel. Data analysis in this research is quantitative using a path analysis model (path analysis) with the help of Smart PLS Software version 3.2 .8. The research distributed questionnaires to 89 respondents of officers assigned at the secretariat office in Boven Digoel Regency. On the basis of statistical results, it was found that leadership can be said to have impacted positively and significant knowledge transfer and work effectiveness. The knowledge transfer also has a positive impact on work effectiveness.

Abstract

This research was conducted by the author with the aim know employee performance at the Regional Secretariat of Sorong Regency seen in aspects on aspects inputs(input), process (process), outputs (output), outcomes (results), benefits (benefits), and impacts (impact). The research method is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques, namely interviews, observation, and documentation using the interactive model. The results of this study indicate the performance of employees at the Regional Secretariat of Sorong Regency is considered to be carried out well, this is indicated by the success of the objectives that have been planned by the Sorong Regency regional government by ensuring all inputs, starting from reliable and competent human resources for all their duties and functions, the existence of adequate facilities and infrastructure and adequacy of the budget. From the main tasks and functions, and work programs can be realized maximally and provide benefits and positive impacts for the needs of community services and also increase regional development. The performance of employees at the Regional Secretariat of Sorong Regency which is considered good is also inseparable from the work process of employees being able to utilize all resources optimally,

Abstract

The research objective was to examine the application of the quality management system ISO 9001, and its supporting and inhibiting factors to leverage the employee performance at PT Tirta Sukses Perkasa. The paper applied a qualitative method using a phenomenological approach. Data obtained using observation and interviews from 3 informants. On the basis of the findings, the study found that the implementation of the 9001 quality management system to leverage employee performance refers to ISO 9001: 2008. The implementation follows several steps comprising of making company commitments, making company quality goals, forming an ISO team, making GAB assessment, making company policies, conducting ISO training, document preparation, quality management system implementation, internal quality audit training, management review, and external certification audit from ISO 9001 certification agency. The study found that the supporting factors for implementing the ISO 9001 management system are management commitment, facilities and infrastructure, effective communication, and availability of funds. Interestingly, there were several inhibiting factors that were work culture, understanding of the concept of the ISO 9001: 2008 Quality Management System, and time constraints.

Abstract

Company performance comes from employee performance. One of the ways to drive up employee performance is motivation. This study aims to examine the relationship between compensation, training, and work environment on employee work motivation at CV. Amanda Brownies, one of the popular food processing companies in Makassar, South Sulawesi Province. The approach taken is a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression methods. To conduct the research, the study collected data from 60 employees of the company as respondents using a questionnaire of a five-Liker scale. Based on the research model developed, the data is then analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The result of the study found that the work environment has a significant effect on employee motivation. However, interestingly, the results of the study indicated that compensation and training do not have a significant effect on motivation. The work environment has a significant effect on employee motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of work motivation and job satisfaction on employee performance with organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) as an intervening variable at PDAM Wae Manurung in Bone Regency. Data collection was conducted through observation and questionnaires. The data are then analyzed using path analysis and evaluated their validity and reliability, classical assumption tests, and Sobel tests beforehand. The results showed that work motivation had a positive and significant effect on organizational citizenship behavior. Job satisfaction has no effect on organizational citizenship behavior. Work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Organizational citizenship behavior has a positive effect on employee performance. Work motivation affects employee performance through organizational citizenship behavior. Job satisfaction has no effect on employee performance through organizational citizenship behavior.

Abstract

The success of a company can be achieved by the creation of optimal employee performance. This study aims to analyze the extent of the influence of individual characteristics and organizational characteristics in improving performance when work motivation is used as an intervening variable. This type of research is quantitative research. In analyzing data, the study applied path analysis assisted by SPPS software. The results found that individual characteristics and organizational characteristics have a significant positive effect on work motivation. When associated with employee performance, it is organizational characteristics indicate a significant effect, but it did not for individual characteristics. Work motivation shows a significant effect on employee performance. The findings also indicate that work motivation can mediate the relationship between individual characteristics and employee performance, but it did not occur for the relationship between organizational characteristics and employee performance.
