Abstract

In the era of intense global competition, university students face significant challenges in entering the professional workforce. Recognizing this, a community engagement program was implemented at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Malikussaleh, focusing on enhancing students' skills in crafting effective curriculum vitae (CV). This program aimed to address gaps in understanding CV structures, integrating relevant skills, and optimizing content for specific industries. Through workshops, individual mentoring, and access to modern CV templates, students were trained to create professional, visually appealing CVs tailored to industry standards. The initiative demonstrated a positive impact, increasing students' awareness, confidence, and preparedness to compete in the job market. This program serves as a model for bridging the gap between academic learning and professional readiness, contributing to the development of competitive graduates ready for global opportunities.

Abstract

This study aimed to provide an overview concerning the role of the Islamic mini bank laboratory in improving student competence. A qualitative methodology was used comprising field observations, interviews, and document analysis. The results showed that there is a need for improved facilities, additional management members, and public-oriented promotions. Four empowerment models for Islamic mini bank laboratory were identified, with the fourth stage being the most effective in the context of "Mereka Belajar". The impact on the competence of student in Islamic banking has not reached the maximum potential due to the lack of compliance with the latest Islamic mini bank application standards. Therefore, it is very appropriate to have a better laboratory that follows the growth of Islamic banking. Aside from understanding the practice of Islamic mini bank laboratory, student must also be equipped with other competencies needed to compete and work effectively in Islamic banking.

Abstract

This study intends to investigate the interaction of product quality, price, and promotion on the desire to repurchase in the Shopee market. Using online surveys sent to 92 respondents, it also aims to evaluate how product grade, pricing, and promotional efforts positively influence repurchase interest among students at the Islamic Business and Finance Faculty (FEBI). The study used quantitative methodologies, and the questionnaire had seven questions total, with seven questions each about the product quality, pricing, promotion, and desire to repurchase. Numerous statistical tests were used, such as testing for the validity and reliability of the hypotheses, conventional assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, T-tests, F-tests, and determination square tests (R2). The results of the F test showed that all three variables—product quality, price, and promotion—cooperately affect repurchase interest in the Shopee marketplace. In addition, the T-test results showed that product quality has a large impact on repurchase attractiveness, whereas price and promotion had less of an impact on shoppers' desire to make a second purchase on Shopee.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether self-efficacy, personal attachment, privacy issues, and technological innovations influence the Quick Respond Indonesian Standard usage determination. The study approach is quantitative, using multiple linear regression statistical analysis. The research population of this study is the 100 Z generation in Lhokseumawe City. The data were collected from first-hand sources through a Likert-scale-based survey by sending questionnaires. The result analysis demonstrates that self-efficacy and privacy issues do not influence Gen Z determinants to use Quick Respond Indonesian Standard (QRIS). In contrast, personal attachment and technological innovations positively affect the Z generation to use the QRIS platform.

Abstract

Abstract

Background: Despite the significant potential of zakat as an instrument of socio-economic redistribution, its formal mobilization remains persistently below capacity in many Muslim-majority countries, including Indonesia. This gap raises critical questions about the extent to which Islamic financial development contributes to philanthropic governance. Objective: This study aims to investigate the macro-financial relationship between Islamic banking performance and formal zakat distribution, focusing on the roles of Islamic financing, depositor trust, and bank profitability in shaping national zakat mobilization. Methodology: Using monthly time-series data from January 2016 to December 2024, this study applies the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) bounds testing approach to estimate both short-run and long-run dynamics among the variables. Findings: The results confirm the existence of long-run cointegration. Depositor trust emerges as the most influential determinant, with substantially higher elasticity compared to Islamic financing, indicating that institutional credibility is the primary driver of zakat mobilization. In contrast, bank profitability does not exhibit a statistically significant effect, revealing a structural disconnect between commercial performance and philanthropic outcomes. This finding reflects the voluntary nature of corporate zakat within the current regulatory framework, which limits the transmission of financial gains into social redistribution. Conclusion: This study contributes to the literature by providing novel macro-level time-series evidence on the financial–philanthropic nexus in Islamic finance. It extends the application of Signaling Theory and Stakeholder Theory into the domain of Islamic social finance, offering a new analytical framework to explain how institutional trust mediates the relationship between financial intermediation and zakat governance. The study also provides a replicable empirical model for future research across Muslim-majority economies. Practical Implications: The findings highlight the need for coordinated institutional reform. Zakat authorities should strengthen transparency and accountability through integrated digital reporting systems to enhance public trust. Financial regulators are encouraged to formalize corporate zakat through mandatory disclosure frameworks and targeted fiscal incentives, thereby aligning banking performance with philanthropic responsibilities. In parallel, Islamic banks should incorporate zakat governance into their strategic and sustainability frameworks, fostering closer collaboration with zakat institutions to optimize the effectiveness of formal zakat distribution.
