Abstract

A library plays a crucial role in adding school value. Well designed library based on careful consideration will undoubtedly support its quality. However, not all school libraries adhere to the standards set out as mentioned in Article 23, paragraph (1) about library, which states that a school library space should provide for visitors comfortableness. Those condition are similarly happen in State Elementaris School 040517 Tigajumpa. The avalilable library does not meet the good standard library criteria. Therefore, the library revitalization is needed to solve this condition. This research employed is action research method, consisting of four stages: problem diagnosis, action planning, action implementation, and evaluation. Those stages were run for 1 month.

Abstract

This research aims to measure the usability level of users of the Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) application as an information retrieval tool for users at the North Sumatra State Islamic University (UINSU) Library. Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) is a computer-based installed catalog system that can be used by users to browse catalog data to ensure the availability of collections needed by users whether the library stores certain works to obtain information and their location in the library. The method used in this research is the System Usability Scale (SUS) which was developed by John Brooke since 1986 and SUS is a usability scale that is reliable, popular, effective and cheap. Researchers used the SUS method to measure the usability level of OPAC application users in the UINSU library by asking 10 questions to 60 users. By knowing the level of user satisfaction, we can also find out whether the application is suitable for use and running well. The results of calculations from 60 respondents were obtained by researchers using the SUS method, getting a score of 62.3, falling into the OK category and grade D. These results show that the level of satisfaction of users of the OPAC application in the UINSU library is sufficient and needs to be improved.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis komunikasi politik dalam perspektif Islam melalui pendekatan studi literatur. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah tinjauan literatur dari buku-buku dan artikel ilmiah yang relevan yang membahas komunikasi politik. Politik berkaitan dengan kehidupan banyak orang, begitu pula nilai-nilai komunikasi Islam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi politik seharusnya tidak hanya menguntungkan kelompok-kelompok tertentu untuk mendapatkan perhatian atau simpati dari masyarakat, tetapi komunikasi harus disampaikan dengan baik, benar, dan seimbang. Pentingnya komunikasi politik adalah untuk menghidupkan seluruh proses politik agar dapat memperoleh keputusan yang dapat diterima oleh semua pihak. Melihat posisinya yang sentral dalam kehidupan politik, studi komunikasi politik telah menjadi salah satu bentuk studi yang serius di dunia akademis, baik dilihat dari perspektif ilmu komunikasi, ilmu politik, maupun dari perspektif ilmu komunikasi Islam. Ketiga perspektif ini akan menjadi topik utama pembahasan dalam artikel ini.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integrated Islamic educational philosophy value learning strategy to improve students' critical thinking skills at Indonesian Islamic Universities, Islamic religious education study program. Islamic philosophical values ​​include adab (civility), morals, and akhlak (ethics). A qualitative approach was used with 12 informants, consisting of lecturers and heads of study programs. The informants were selected purposively. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and analyzed inductively using thematic analysis. The results show that lecturers' empirical experiences in teaching practice confirm the effectiveness of case study-based strategies, reflective discussions, academic debates, and problem-based learning in fostering critical thinking in students. The success of these strategies is reflected in students' ability to construct logical arguments, conduct in-depth analyses, and integrate morals, adab (civility), and akhlak (ethics) into learning. The main obstacles were variations in student participation and time constraints, but these can be minimized through lecturers' creativity in designing learning. This research contributes to the development of applicable learning strategies based on morals, adab, and akhlak through the application of participatory methods and ongoing institutional support. The integration of Islamic educational philosophy values ​​strengthens students' moral and spiritual dimensions.
