Abstract

This entrepreneurship field-Student Creativity Program aims to create designs and to produce a multifunctional Jacket "Victorys Bag" (Creativity-Rich Used Goods) and find out its marketing strategies in order to get the big profit. There are several phases in the implementation of this program; those are the market survey, the production, and the marketing. "Victorys Bag" is a result of fusing two used goods-substances; those are jeans patchwork of used jackets and bags which has gone through modification process so that it can be used at the same time, in other words it becomes a Multifunction Bags-Jackets. The expected turnover of this entrepreneurship program is earning Rp. 3.500.000,- in a month of the implementation program; and will grow forward for the following month.

Abstract

Student Creativity Program(PKM) of "Lombok Rawit" (Latihan Among Bekso dan Karawitan) is motivated by a will to make traditional Javanese gamelan music and dance as a means of therapy for Mentally Handicapped students. Through this program, Mentally Handicapped children are expected to be familiar with the culture Javanese, while getting a therapy to reduce emotional and behavioral deviations. PKM is applied to Mentally Handicapped children in Special school (SLB) ‘E’Prayuwana Yogyakarta. The number of students in special schools was 25 people. Training was conducted in April-July 2014, the results were achieved after the training, namely: (1) the increasing of the value of the post-test by 68%. This percentage is obtained from the tabulated results from the instrument, which showed a reduction in the number of occurrences Mentally Handicapped children characteristics such as hyperactivity, fear, antisocial, and others. (2) The PKM team managed to hold a simple form of collaboration performances of gamelan and dance Mentally Handicapped children. (3) The PKM team managed to compile teaching materials in the form of modules and CD gamelan and dance lessons for children with the barrel so that it can be used widely by teachers and therapists of Mentally Handicapped children. Based ont he results of the PKM, it can be concluded that the training"Rawit Lombok", can be used as a therapeutic tool for Mentally Handicapped children. Based on the effectiveness of thisprogram, a team of the PKM trying to do a follow up in the form of mentoring and socialization, so that a similar program can be applied to Mentally Handicapped children in others special school.Keywords: mentally handicapped children, therapy, Lombok Rawit

Abstract

Entrepreneurship Student Creativity Program (the PKM-K) of Tissue"Upik Abu" (Made From Sugar Cane Dregs To Save Earth) isdue tothe desireto targetopportunities ofincreased need fortissue. It alsomotivated the desire to produce tissue without cutting downthe treeas an effort tosave the environment, as well as utilization of bagasse which is usually only used as fuel for locomotives. This program is aimed to: (1) produce Tissue Aroma Therapy, (2) developa marketing strategy, and (3) getthe sales profit. Overview of effort in the PKM-K is producing tissue through cooperation with partners, introducing, and selling products of tissue "Upik Abu". Stage of implementation of its activities, namely market surveys, production, and marketing survey was conducted to get an overview of market potency. The production process consists of three stages, namely preparation, execution, and finishing. Tissue which is produced in the form of facial tissue, toilet tissue, and the tissue at the dinner table. The process of marketing is done through printed media (business cards, leaflets, mass-media), electronic media (facebook, twitter, blogs, SMS), community, exhibition, and consignment with some grocery stores. Aroma therapy is added to the tissue to be more marketable as well as comfortable to use. Tissue production has reached 650 units, with sales profit for three months of Rp. 3,862,500. Based on the results obtain edit can be concluded that the business is profitable, so the continuity of business will continue to be maintained, along with efforts to increase profits.Keywords : bagasse, tissue, aromatherapy

Abstract

This study aims to describe the character of the Prabu Kresna character in Serat Pedhalangan Lampahan Tunggul Wulung on the scene in pathet nem. This lampahan tells the story of King Kresna who is a king in the Dwarawati Kingdom. Serat Pedhalangan Lampahan Tunggul Wulung is interesting to study because there are many values ​​of character education that can be translated into education. The author of this study will focus on exemplary methods to develop character in elementary school children. This exemplary method can be implemented in teaching and learning activities in class. King Kresna is the focus of this study because he is a depiction of a wise king. This exemplary method will be integrated into Javanese language subjects, especially puppet material. The data in this study are dialogues, monologues, sentences, and narratives of Prabu Kresna's character who show character education. The data analysis technique of this research is a documentation study technique. The approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results of the study show that Prabu Kresna shows a character that can be used as guidance in the Tunggul Wulung Lightning Pedhalangan 1) respect for others; 2) nationalism; 3) religion and 4) leadership.

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan dari kajian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana transformasi nilai-nilai lokal Jawa dalam pendidikan karakter di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian studi literatur. Sumber yang di gunakan dalam penelitian ini mengacu pada Berg (2009) yaitu 1) artikel ilmiah, disertasi, dan buku, 2) artikel dan essay ilmiah, 3) Ensiklopedi, kamus. 4) artikel jurnal, 5) majalah nasional dan internasional. Penelitian ini di latar belakangi oleh pentingnya kearifan lokal sebagai salah muatan dalam proses pendidikan. Hasil dari penelitian adalah, terdapat transformasi kearifan lokal Jawa dalam peneguhan pendidikan karakter yaitu tepa dlira (toleransi), rukun (cinta damai), rumangsa melu handarbeni, rumangsa wajib hangrungkebi (peduli sosial), memayu hayuning bawana (peduli lingkungan), Aja dumeh (menghargai prestasi, jujur, rendah hati) .Abstract The purpose of this study was to describe how the transformation of local Javanese values in character education in elementary schools. This research was a literature study. The sources used in this study refered to Berg (2009), namely 1) scientific articles, dissertations, and books, 2) scientific articles and essays, 3) encyclopedias, dictionaries. 4) Journal article, 5) national and international magazines. This research was in the background of the importance of local wisdom as one of the contents in the Education process. The results of the study were, there was a transformation of Javanese local wisdom in affirming character education namely Tepa Slira (tolerance), Rukun (cinta damai), rumangsa melu handarbeni, rumangsa obligatory hangrungkebi (social care), memayu hayuning bawana (environmental care), Aja dumeh (appreciating achievement, honest, humble)

Abstract

Abstract

Through this program, the mentally retarded children areexpected to be familiar with the Javanese culture, while getting a therapy to reduceemotional and behavioral deviations. This program is implemented to the mentallyretarded children in Special School E Prayuwana Yogyakarta. There are 25 students inthe school. The training was conducted from April to July, 2014. The results achievedafter the training are (1) the increase of the value of the post-test is by 68%. Abstract

This study aims to decipher the use of authorial pronoun we as a politeness strategy in the EFL academic writing. The data consist of 56 published research articles taken from the Corpus of State University of Malang Indonesian Learners’ English. The articles were written by Indonesian undergraduate students co-authored with their thesis supervisors. Attempting to categorize pronoun we into inclusive, exclusive, and ambiguous types in the co-authored texts, we identify seven functions of the authorial pronoun. The result unveils that the ambiguous authorial pronoun we appear to be the most frequently used politeness device to minimize face threatening acts (FTA).

Abstract

Bahasa dan seksisme merupakan wacana yang terus berkembang seiring dengan munculnya gerakan gender maupun feminisme di segala bidang termasuk linguistik. Bahasa seksis biasanya menyajikan stereotip-stereotip tentang laki-laki dan perempuan yang kadang merugikan salah satu dari keduanya. Untuk menghindari adanya kerancuan dalam pemahaman arti kosakata dan menghindari adanya sikap seksis pada suatu pihak gender, bahasa yang tidak bermuatan sexist atau gender free harus digunakan, seperti menghindari penggunaan kata “siswa” dan “siswi” dan menggantikannya dengan kata “murid” yang muatannya lebih netral. Namun, di dalam bahasa Indonesia memang ada beberapa kosakata yang bertalian erat dengan jenis kelamin sangat sarat dengan ketimpangan. Kosakata tersebut merupakan kosakata serapan dari bahasa sumber yang di dalam sistem gramatikanya mengenal jenis kelamin.
