Abstract

Bahasa dan seksisme merupakan wacana yang terus berkembang seiring dengan munculnya gerakan gender maupun feminisme di segala bidang termasuk linguistik. Bahasa seksis biasanya menyajikan stereotip-stereotip tentang laki-laki dan perempuan yang kadang merugikan salah satu dari keduanya. Untuk menghindari adanya kerancuan dalam pemahaman arti kosakata dan menghindari adanya sikap seksis pada suatu pihak gender, bahasa yang tidak bermuatan sexist atau gender free harus digunakan, seperti menghindari penggunaan kata “siswa” dan “siswi” dan menggantikannya dengan kata “murid” yang muatannya lebih netral. Namun, di dalam bahasa Indonesia memang ada beberapa kosakata yang bertalian erat dengan jenis kelamin sangat sarat dengan ketimpangan. Kosakata tersebut merupakan kosakata serapan dari bahasa sumber yang di dalam sistem gramatikanya mengenal jenis kelamin.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the social function of the Serat Manyuri Javanese manuscript for the Kejawen Kasepuhan Kalitanjung community in Tambaknegara, Rawalo, Banyumas Regency. This research is categorized as qualitative research. Data were collected through library research and interviews. The data were then analyzed using traditional philological methods, including determining the research focus, manuscript inventory, preliminary observation, and manuscript transcription. Based on the conducted research, several conclusions can be drawn. The moral values in the Serat Manyuri Javanese Manuscript remain relevant to the Kejawen Kasepuhan Kalitanjung community, who are the cultural custodians of this tradition. The traditions practiced by the Kejawen Kasepuhan Kalitanjung community that are related to the use of the Serat Manyuri include: 1) Selametan Kematian Telung Dina lan Pitung Dina Traditions ; 2) Selametan Matang Puluh Dina lan Nyatus Tradition; and 3) Selamten Mendhak Pisan, Pindho, lan Nyewu Traditions. The Serat Manyuri is one of the ancient Javanese manuscripts found in Banyumas, containing numerous moral values that continue to be utilized by the community as a medium in the implementation of traditional ceremonies.

Abstract

AbstrakPengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi budaya melalui pengajaran Aksara Jawa dengan metode Games Based Learning di SD Negeri 1 Grendeng. Latar belakang pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran Aksara Jawa di sekolah tersebut mengalami kendala seperti metode pengajaran yang kurang menarik dan rendahnya minat serta pemahaman siswa. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, metode pembelajaran berbasis permainan seperti Monopoli, Jenga, dan Flashcard yang dimodifikasi dengan unsur Aksara Jawa. Metode ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan minat dan pemahaman siswa dalam belajar Aksara Jawa. Program dilaksanakan selama delapan pertemuan, dengan evaluasi melalui pretest dan posttest serta kuesioner. Hasil program menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman dan minat siswa terhadap Aksara Jawa, dengan peningkatan nilai rata-rata pretest dari 59,12% menjadi 90,37% pada posttest. Selain itu, terdapat peningkatan minat siswa terhadap Aksara Jawa berdasarkan hasil kuesioner yang meningkat dari 51,71% menjadi 84,16%. Metode Games Based Learning terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar dan memberikan pengalaman belajar yang menyenangkan. Kesimpulannya, pengabdian ini berhasil meningkatkan kemampuan literasi budaya siswa melalui pengajaran Aksara Jawa yang lebih interaktif dan menarik. Kata kunci: literasi budaya; aksara jawa; games based learning; pembelajaran interaktif AbstractThis community service aims to improve cultural literacy through the teaching of Javanese script using the Games Based Learning method at SD Negeri 1 Grendeng. The background of this service shows that the teaching of Javanese script at the school faces obstacles such as unengaging teaching methods and low student interest and comprehension. To address these issues, game-based learning methods like Monopoly, Jenga, and flashcards were modified with elements of Javanese script. This method is expected to increase students' interest and understanding in learning Javanese script. The program was conducted over eight sessions, with evaluations through pretests, posttests, and questionnaires. The results of the program showed a significant increase in students' understanding and interest in Javanese script, with the average pretest score increasing from 59.12% to 90.37% on the posttest. Additionally, there was an increase in student interest in Javanese script based on questionnaire results, which rose from 51.71% to 84.16%. The Games Based Learning method proved effective in improving learning outcomes and providing an enjoyable learning experience. In conclusion, this community service successfully enhanced students' cultural literacy skills through more interactive and engaging teaching of Javanese script. Keywords: cultural literacy; Javanese script; games based learning; interactive learning

Abstract

Masyarakat adat Bonokeling yang berada di Desa Pekuncen, Kecamatan Jatilawang memiliki karakteristik sosial ekonomi yang khas. Mereka masih memegang tradisi yang berakar dari kepercayaan terhadap leluhur dan diimplementasikan dalam beragai sendi kehidupan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji usahatani padi pada masyarakat petani Bonokeling di Kabupaten Banyumas dengan pendekatan mixed method. Penelitian ini mencakup analisis karakteristik sosial ekonomi petani padi Bonokeling serta analisis keuntungan usahatani padi melalui pendekatan RC ratio. Data primer dalam penelitian ini diperoleh melalui wawancara dan survei terhadap petani, sementara data sekunder diperoleh dari berbagai sumber terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa usia lanjut petani, rendahnya tingkat pendidikan, dan luas lahan yang sempit menjadi kendala dalam meningkatkan produktivitas usahatani padi. Nilai RC ratio yang relatif rendah mengindikasikan perlunya intervensi kebijakan untuk meningkatkan akses terhadap pendidikan, teknologi, dan penguatan kapasitas kelembagaan petani yang sejalan dengan tradisi dan pengetahuan lokal masyarakat, sehingga keberlanjutan usahatani padi masyarakat Bonokeling dapat terjaga

Abstract

Larasati Art Studio in Purbalingga represents a cultural community with significant potential in performing arts and local heritage preservation. However, the studio faces challenges in leveraging literacy-related competencies, particularly in Javanese script, for cultural product development and digital marketing. This gap limits the studio’s ability to strengthen its image as a center for Javanese cultural preservation at the Banyumas Regency level. This study aims to enhance the studio’s capacity in Javanese script literacy and cultural product creation. A community service program was conducted involving 45 participants, utilizing lectures, group discussions, demonstrations, and hands-on practice to produce handicrafts incorporating Javanese script. Pre- and post-training evaluations were administered to assess literacy improvement and skill acquisition. The results indicate a significant increase in participants’ literacy and product-making abilities, with the average pre-training score of 61.47% improving to a post-training score of 84.33%. Participants successfully produced 50 cultural handicraft items integrating Javanese script, which were subsequently documented and promoted through digital platforms. These outcomes demonstrate that structured literacy training and practical product development can effectively strengthen the studio’s public image and enhance its role in cultural preservation. In conclusion, the program successfully improved Javanese script literacy, facilitated cultural product creation, and reinforced Larasati Art Studio’s function as an inheritor, preserver, and developer of local Javanese culture. The study recommends continued literacy-based interventions to sustain cultural engagement and community empowerment.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance the capacity of the Makmur Berkah Women Farmers Group (KWT) in Kutasari Village, Baturraden District, Banyumas Regency through the implementation of greenhouse and drip irrigation technologies as part of developing an agro-education center. The activity involved lecturers, volunteer agricultural instructors, and KWT members through participatory training that included counseling, demonstrations, hands-on practice, and mentoring. Evaluation was carried out using pre- and post-tests on participants’ knowledge and skills. The results showed an average increase of 55.4% in knowledge and 80% in practical skills. The collaboration between academics and volunteer instructors proved to be an effective model in strengthening the role of women farmers as drivers of sustainable agriculture and in realizing more prosperous families through modern, productive agricultural activities.ABSTRAKKegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas anggota Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) Makmur Berkah di Desa Kutasari, Kecamatan Baturraden, Kabupaten Banyumas melalui penerapan teknologi greenhouse dan sistem irigasi tetes (drip irrigation) sebagai bagian dari pengembangan wahana agroedukasi. Pelaksanaan kegiatan melibatkan dosen, penyuluh swadaya, dan anggota KWT dalam bentuk pelatihan partisipatif yang mencakup penyuluhan, demonstrasi, praktik langsung, dan pendampingan. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test terhadap aspek pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata pengetahuan sebesar 55,4% dan peningkatan keterampilan praktik mencapai 80%. Keberhasilan kolaborasi antara akademisi dan penyuluh swadaya menjadi model efektif dalam memperkuat peran wanita tani sebagai penggerak pertanian berkelanjutan serta mewujudkan keluarga yang lebih sejahtera melalui kegiatan produktif berbasis pertanian modern.
