Abstract

The personality individual factors that usually affect consumers‘ purchasing decisions include age or life cycle stage, job, economic condition, lifestyle and personality or self-image. The consumer‘s purchasing decisions related to goods depends on various factors such as brand, quality, after sales services, warranty, advertising, rebates, offers, discount, mode of payment, display, sales person behaviour, store location and many more. Grand Duck King Restaurant Medan, it has been confirmed that the number of consumers has been decreasing these recent months. It has been suspected that this problem is due to consumers‘ individual factors. The indicators of individual factors in this research were adopted by Rouzbahani, et.al (2013:1151) which include age and life cycle stage, job, economic condition, lifestyle, and personality or self-image and indicators of consumer‘s purchasing decisions indicators by Lopez (2012:127) which are frequency of transactions, consumer referral, Loyalty, repeat decisions. The population that the writer used is the consumers the writer doing research 1 day on 30th May 2017 at grand Duck King Cambridge Medan which are 101 people, by using Slovin‘s Formula, the sample size is 81 consumers, and use the simple random sampling technique which the consumers have same chance to be chosen as sample. The results from analysis are individual factors have effect on consumer‘s purchasing decision at Grand Duck Restaurant King Cambridge Medan and individual factors have a strong and positive effect on consumer‘s purchasing decisions at Grand Duck King Restaurant Cambridge Medan.

Abstract

This research investigates the influence of the work enviroment and individual characteritis on employees job satisfaction. This skripsi contributes to the working environment and employees’ individual characteristic to increase employees job satisfaction. In carrying out the work or character of an individual must be able to put themselves and their work environment so well that it will affect the individual can achieve the expected job satisfaction. In the world of work, usually relate to a person's attitude to his work. Linkage attitude with this work will pave the way positive or negative evaluative held by employees about aspects of their work environment. This means that every person on the job reflects the experience pleasant and unpleasant in his work and hopes for the future. The working environment is meant here is the physical work environment and non-physical, such as acceptable behavior management and workplace environment itself (workplace), among others working facilities and security. If the work environment possible, then the employees will make the workplace a fun in performing activities works, so as to reduce fatigue, which in turn can lead to satisfaction with the job. As such, working environment and individual characteritic relationship does have the potential to create an employes job satisfaction.

Abstract

Besides having a good quality of product, the company has to know how to bring the product to the customers. It is useless if the company offers a good product but the customers are not able to obtain it easily and conveniently. To overcome that kind of problem, the company has to pay attention to the distribution channel. PT. Domas Intiglass Perdana Tanjung Morawa has an intermediatery (wholesaler) which is its subsidiary company to distribute the products. They got many complaints from the customers (retailers) such as there is a minimum amount of purchases, make delays in delivery, have a few types of products and lack of supporting service. The objective of this research is to assess the impact of distribution channel towards sales volume in the company as well as to determine how strong the impact between both of them. In conducting the research, the writer has chosen the descriptive study. To gather the data needed, the writer distributes questionnaires which consist of 10 questions to 52 samples. In this research, the writer used two variables, which is Distribution Channel (Variable X) and Sales Volume (Variable Y). Then the data will be tested and the results of the data are valid and reliable. The result for this study shown that there is impact of distribution channel towards sales volume at PT. Domas Intiglass Perdana Tanjung Morawa. It can be seen from the result of the test of determination which is 52.5%. It means the impact of distribution channel toward sales volume is as large as 52.5%. We can also see from the result of z hypothesis where 5.18 (zcount) > 1.96 (ztable). This means the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. So the writer can conclude that the distribution channel has impact towards the sales volume at PT. Domas Intiglass Perdana Tanjung Morawa.

Abstract

Literasi adalah kemampuan individu untuk menggunakan segenap potensi (skill) untuk menerima, memahami dan mengelola informasi saat melakukan proses membaca dan menulis. Memilliki literasi yang baik artinya memiliki kemampuan untuk mengalisis, mengevaluasi data dan informasi yang diterima dengan baik. Memiliki pengetahuan dalam membaca berbagai informasi bermanfaat, mengambil kesimpulan dari informasi yang dibaca, memberikan penilaian kritis terhadap informasi tersebut. Pada era industri 4.0 mau atau tidak mau, waktu mengharuskan setiap individu untuk belajar dan mengasah kemampuan literasi agar mampu beradaptasi dan mengikuti perkembangan teknologi. Namun faktanya Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) pada tahun 2019 meliris informasi berdasarkan survei yang dilakukan Program for International Student Assessment (PISA), Indonesia merupakan 10 negara terbawah yang memiliki tingkat literasi rendah dengan menempati peringkat ke 62 dari 70 negara. Tidak terkecuali pada pelajar yang berada di daerah Kabupaten Tapanuli Utara. Data menunjukan bahwa minat baca pelajar di daerah ini masih sangat rendah. Dalam PKM ini tim memfokuskan pada tiga tingkatan literasi yaitu digital, bahasa dan keuangan. Dimana ketiga hal ini sangat dibutuhkan apalagi untuk tingkatan pelajar yang ada di Sekolah Menegah Kejuruan (SMK) yang diharapkan setelah tamat sekolah bisa langsung terjun ke dunia pekerjaan. Dalam literasi digital siswa dilatih untuk membuat personal website (blog) untuk wadah bagi peserta didik dalam mengepresikan diri dalam berbagai karya, tugas sekolah atau hobby lainnya sehingga mereka mampu menggunakan teknologi untuk hal yang lebih bermanfaat. Hasil yang diperoleh dari pengabdian ini adalah terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan dan pemahaman siswa tentang literasi digital, bahasa dan keuangan. Hal itu terlihat bahwa siswa sudah mampu membuat lamaran pekerjaan, mimiliki perencanaan keuangan sederhana dan sudah memiliki akun blog dengan beberapa konten tulisan mereka sendiri.

Abstract

The need to satisfy customer for success in any commercial enterprises is very obvious. A business’s main purpose is to create a customer because it is basically the consumer who essentially determines what a business is. Customers are the sole reason for the existence of commercial establishments. The writer will conduct research at CV. Four Star Medan. It is a cotton manufacturing company for bed Madison which is located at Jalan Veteran Gang Manunggal No. 7 Medan. The writer interviewed the employees of the company regarding the customers, recently the customer complain on the customer service on the delivery, when the delivery is not ontime, the customers asked for the confirmation, the employees do not act quickly to follow up the delivery, the employees sometimes do not give a complete explanation for the warranty time to customers which may lead to to misunderstanding about the products, this is some of their problem related to the service. The problem identifications of the company are how the service quality is implemented in CV. Four Star Medan? And how is the impact of service quality towards customer satisfaction in CV. Four Star Medan. The population of CV. Four Star Medan is the customers more than 3 years of CV. Four Star Medan which are 50 customers. The writer uses Arikunto Sampling theory. The sample size is 50 employees. The writer uses census sampling technique which the writer takes all population as sample. In analyzing data, the writer used some methods such as statistics, normality test, validity test, reliability test, correlation test, determination test, linier regression, and hypothesis test. According to the result calculation data through the answers of the respondents, the writer got the result of 0.83 means that service quality has a significantly strong and positive impact towards customer’s satisfaction at CV. Four Star Medan. From the calculation of ztest hypothesis test, the writer got zcount= 5.87. The zcount > ztable (5.87> 1.96), this means the Null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. The writer can conclude that service quality has impact towards customer satisfaction at CV. Four Star Medan.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyse the impact of brand personality towards customer loyalty at PT. Agro Makmur Raya, Medan. The research method that the writer use is descriptive method and correlative research. To answer the problem, data is collected by questionnaire to 50 respondents that consist of the customers of PT. Agro Makmur Raya. The SPSS Version 22 is to use to test the data. The writer uses some methods to analyse the data gained, such as: validity, reliability, descriptive method, normality test, correlation test, regression equation, determination of coefficient analysis and z test. Based on the SPSS Version 22 analysis, some conclusions can be made, i.e: 10 questionnaires that the writer use have a good data of reliability and the data are normally distributed. While the correlation test found that the brand personality has strong and positive impact towards customer loyalty at PT. Agro Makmur Raya, Medan. For the determination of variable x and variable y is 76.6% shows that the value of customer loyalty is impact by the value of brand personality. From the test of hypothesis, we can found that for the Alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. Based on the result of the analysis, it is concluded that there is impact between brand personality and customer loyalty at PT. Agro Makmur Raya, Medan.

Abstract

Usaha mikro kecil dan menengah (UMKM) memiliki peran penting bagi suatu negara. Keberadaan UMKM akan memberiakan sumbangsih terhadap peningkatan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan ekonomi suatu negara. UMKM muncul dari orang-orang yang memiliki inisitif dan keberanian dalam mendirikan usaha atau bisnis. Jumlah UMKM di Indonesia terus mengalami peningkatan termasuk di provinsi Sumatera khususnya di kelurahan Helvetia Timur. Banyak potensi yang ada di kelurahan Helvetia Timur yang bisa dimanfaatkan untuk diolah menjadi kegiatan bisnis atau usaha. Untuk menciptakan peluang usaha baru maka diperlukan orang-orang kreatif dan inovatif dalam mengembangkan bisnisnya. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberiakan motivasi kepada masyarakat agar tertatik untuk mengembangkan potensi yang dimilinya agar dapat menciptakan dan mengembangkan kegiatan usaha atau bisnis baru.
