Abstract

PT. Meubelindo Semarang is a manufacturing company engaged in the manufacture of furniture, products manufactured by PT.Meubelindo is kind of teak garden furniture. As a company engaged in production activities, motivation and the work environment is important to the company. The research was motivated by the last four years of production data from the PT. Meubelindo Semarang has decreased and has not reached the specified targets. This study aimed to determine how much effect the motivation and the work environment on productivity. This study used explanations research using questionnaire as the instrument which distributed to 70 production employees of PT. Meubelindo Semarang. The results of the analysis prove that the motivation variable t value (6.876)> t table (1.9955) which means Ha received thus no significant effect between motivation and productivity of employees with the close relationship of 0.410. In the work environment variables t count (3.577)> t table (1.9955) which means Ha accepted, thus no significant effect between the work environment on employee productivity with the closeness of the relationship 0.158. While jointly acquired F calculation (32.519)> F table (3.1296) which indicates that the Ha accepted that hypothesis proved that there was an effect between the variables of motivation and the work environment on employee productivity, with the closeness of 0.493.

Abstract

Presidential election in Indonesia considered as a big event which held in every 5 years. Presidential Election July 9 2014 is one of the important event in Indonesia and the capital market shows that there are some reactions of the event. This research aims to see how the reaction of capital market by looking at the differences of each three variabel in this research, they are bid ask spread, abnormal return, and trading volume activity before and after presidential election, July 9 2014. The research object is 45 companies which listed in LQ-45 Index period during February – July 2014. The observation period is 24 days which is 12 days before and after presidential election event at July 9 2014. This hypothesis test used paired sample t-test analysis. The result of this research shows that there is no significant differences beetween bid ask spread before and after presidential election, there is no significant differences beetween abnormal return before and after presidential election, and there is a significant differences beetween trading volume activity before and after presidential election.

Abstract

 This study aims to examine the relationships of financial ratios Capital Adequacy Ratio ( CAR ) , Loan to Deposit Ratio ( LDR ) , Operating expences To Operating Income Ratio ( BOPO ) , and Non - Performing Loan ( NPL ) credits distribution partially and simultaneously.The data used in this study are listed banking companies in Indonesia Stock Exchange for 5 consecutive years - also , ie 2008 to 2012. The criteria used is a company whose shares are actively traded on the Stock Exchange , for 5 consecutive years . This study uses multiple regression analysis , t-test for testing the ratio - the ratio of the partial finance , and test f .The results of statistical calculation with linear regression analysis can be shown by the regression equation  Y = 32.260,676  -  1.955,127 X1  + 580,887 X2  –  2.689,451 X3 + 588,208 X4. From the regression equation it is known that the CAR, LDR ,BOPO , and NPL , jointly significant effect on Loan Portfolio . The results of the calculation of the magnitude of the coefficient of determination 0.525 . It is indicating that the CAR ,LDR , BOPO , and NPL  were able to explain the purchase decision variables by 52.5 % . While the remaining 47.5 % is explained by other variables that are not observed . Based on the results of the data analysis we can conclude the effect of the CAR , LDR, BOPO , the NPL and credits distribution has a strong degree of closeness of relationship this means that the higher the CAR , LDR , BOPO , the NPL will result in the higherCredits Distribution

Abstract

This research was motivated by fact that there’s a high demand of fund distribution for consumtion or capital thai is safe, fast and easy. PD Pemalang BKK is one of the financial institutions that provide credit facilities for people. PD BKK Pemalang should be able to provide financial solutions for people who need. This study aims to determine the influence of service quality, interest rates and the location towards credit decision-making at PD BKK Pemalang. The sample in this research is 100 respondents who are debtors PD BKK Pemalang. This study used purposive sampling as a sampling technique. This type of research is quantitative research techniques of data collection using questionnaires. The analytical method used was simple and multiple regression analysis, the validity and reliability.Based on the result analysis, variable the quality of service, interest rates and locotion have a positive influence of the credit making decison. Variable the quality of service have the most influence is as much as 0,392.Variable interest rates have influence of 0,253 and variable locations have influence of 0,212.Simultaneously a variable the quality of service, interest rates and location having constributions amounting to 52.7 % of the credit decision-making. The conclusion of this research indicated that quality of service, interest rate and location partially and Simultaneously has an influence on the credit making decision.

Abstract

This research purpose to find out the effect of placement and compensation on employee performance through employee satisfaction remains at PT. BRI branch Pattimura Semarang. This type of research is explanatory. The number of samples taken were 47 respondents to the purposive sampling method with the criteria of all permanent employees. Collecting data using questionnaires, interviews, library research. Hypothesis testing using statistical analysis includes correlation coefficient, coefficient of determination, t-test, and F test results of this study show that employment has no effect on job satisfaction of 25.2%, while the compensation has no influence on job satisfaction, job placement has influence on employee performance by 19.2%, compensation has an influence on the performance of employees by 8.8%, and job satisfaction affects the employee's performance of 38.1%. Then the job placement and compensation together have an influence on job satisfaction at 34.2%, and job placement, compensation, and job satisfaction jointly affect the performance of 52.2%.

Abstract

section, have responsibility to achieve organization’s goals. Performance of organization really depends on abilities and competencies of those. PT. Nasmoco Pemuda Semarang is a private institution that is engaged in the automotive field and has several business areas, namely the sales of cars, sales of spare parts and maintenance or servicing section periodically, which is required to always serve the needs of customers by providing best services in order to increase quantity of cars which entrust PT. Nasmoco as a partner for servicing. However, in 2013 there was unachieved the target units in the section service. Moreover, Transformational Leadership that implemented by the head of section service had not been able to improve Work Discipline at PT. Nasmoco Pemuda Semarang, especially in servicing section.This study aims to determine the effects of Transformational Leadership, Organizational Culture, and Work Discipline toward the Employee Performance. This study uses census method with a sample of 70 employees that will be investigated. Data were analyzed through the validity, reliability, crosstab, product moment correlation, coefficient of determination, simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, t test and F test.The result shows that Transformational Leadership has significant effect on the Employee Performance. Work Discipline has significant effect on the Employee Performance and Organizational Culture significantly influences the employee performance. Simultaneously, the Transformational Leadership, Discipline Work and Cultural Organization have significant effect on the Employee Performance. Based on the multiple regression test, the results of beta coefficient figures show 0.226, 0.271, and 0.421, for Transformational Leadership, Work Discipline, and Cultural Organization respectively. Organizational Culture provides the most impact on employee performance.Based on the research result, it suggested to improve Transformational Leadership could be executed by improving the ability of the leadership in getting closer to his employees. Moreover, the improvement of Work Discipline could be achieved by providing appreciation and improving control. The improvement of Organizational Culture could be performed by working more excited. Through of these, at PT. Nasmoco Pemuda Semarang Section Service, the expected level of performance of employees will increase.

Abstract

The background of the research is the growth of the retail business in Indonesia. It is shown by the number of new retail businesses that appear and compete within the market. Each company would want its business to survive, and to grow over the time and earn some profit, therefore, Gramedia Bookstore has to think of a way to stay survive and attract more customers. Specifically the research discusses about Gramedia Pandanaran Semarang Bookstore which within 2011 – 2013 has had decreasing number of customers to do transaction. Should the condition remain and is not overcome, it is highly likely that there will be bigger problem for Gramedia Pandanaran Semarang Bookstore. The objective of the research is to recognize the influence of store planning, merchandising, and product variationtowards the purchasing decision in Gramedia Pandanaran Semarang Bookstore. The type of the research is explanatory, using data collecting technique of questionnaire and interview. Sampling technique is non-probability sampling using Purposive Sampling. The sample is 100 customers of Gramedia Pandanaran Semarang Bookstore who had purchased at least twice. The research uses qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Quantitative analysis uses validity test, reliability test, correlation coefficient, simple and multiple linear regression analysis, determination coefficient, significance test (t test and f test). The result of the research shows that entirely Store Planning influences the Purchasing Decision with beta coefficient value of 0.555 and determination coefficient for variable Store Planning (X1) contributes 30.1% towards the variable of Purchasing Decision and the remaining 69.9% is explained by other factor other than variable Store Planning. There an influence between Merchandising towards Purchasing Decision with beta coefficient value of 0.530 and determination coefficient for variable Merchandising (X2) contributes 27.3% towards Purchasing Decision variable (Y) and the remaining 72.7% is explained by other factors other than variable Merchandising. There is an influence between Product Variety and the Purchasing Decision with the value of coefficient beta. Of 0.525 and the determination coefficient for Product Variety variable (X3) contributes 26.8% towards purchasing decision and the remaining 73.2% is explained by other factor other than Product Variety variable. The conclusion of the research is that between Store Planning and Merchandising and Product Variation has positive and significant influence towards Purchasing Decision. It suggeststhat Gramedia Bookstore has to improve the innovation in fulfilling the need of the customers through the way of presenting the product and the vast variation of product.

Abstract

PD. BPR Bank Pasar Temanggung is one of the regional enterprises engaged in banking which carries on business as a Rural Bank in Temanggung maintain financial soundness by receiving funds from the public and distribute it in the form of loans. Credits provided by customers will help the bank in maintaining liquidity and the impact on interest income to be received so that it will affect the financial soundness of the bank. The research is motivated by use of financial statements in the time series in the last 4 years from 2008 to 2011. This study aims to determine the influence of the financial soundness CAMEL method to total loans in PD. BPR Bank Pasar Temanggung. The results showed that the healthcare finance on the amount of outstanding loan by 78,1% percent.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the decreasing number of visitors in 2014 until 2016. The objective of this study was to determine the effect of lifestyle aspect, consist of interests, opinions, and activities on consumers purchase decision at Shabu Auce Restaurant Semarang. This study was an explanatory research using questionnaire to collect data. Purposive sampling technique were used to get samples. A total of 100 respondents who visited Shabu Auce Restaurant Semarang were collected. This study used quantitative analysis technique using validity test, reliability test, coefficient of correlation, simple and multiple regression analysis, coefficient of determination, significance test (T test), and the F test ( multiple regression). The result of simple regression test showed that all of the lifestyle aspect, consists of interests, opinions, and activities, had a positive significant influence toward the purchase decision. Increasing perception of interests, opinions, and activities will increase consumers purchase decision as well. The result of F test in multiple linear regression showed that interests, opinions, and activities simultaneously influence the purchase decision. The most dominant variable was activities which had the largest standardized regression coefficient.

Abstract

This research is motivated because of the negative pressure that arise in the human being called Threat Emotions or feel threatened. While Trust (Brand Trust) awakened because of the expectation that the other party will act in accordance with the needs and desires of consumers. For that, Pepsodent toothpaste trusted by consumers will be able to overcome the problems of dental health experienced by consumers in the District of Jambu.The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Threat Emotion and Brand Trust on Purchase Decision of Pepsodent Toothpaste (Case Study on Consumers in Jambu District). This type of research is explanatory, with data collection techniques through kuesione, interview and literature study. The technique of taking respondents using multistage sample technique. Respondents numbered 100 people who are consumers of toothpaste consumers of Pepsodent in the District of Jambu. The analysis technique used is quantitative. Quantitative analysis uses validity test, reliability test, correlation coefficient, coefficient of determination, simple and multiple regression analysis, and significance test (t test and F test).The results of this study indicate that Threat Emotion and Brand Trust have a positive influence on Purchase Decision of Pepsodent Toothpaste (Case Study on Consumers in Jambu District). Variable Brand Trust has the greatest influence that is 0.750 while variable Threat Emotion has the effect of 0.427. Simultaneously (together) the variables of Threat Emotion and Brand Trust have contributed 57.7 percent to the Purchase Decision of Pepsodent Toothpaste.Suggestion that can be given, for pepsodent toothpaste manufactures, should be more aggressive to conduct product introduction progams to consumers about what is given or the benefits of pepsodent thoothpaste more fully for consumers who use it. So that will feel the effect or deeper threath emotion that will increase brand trust that makes purchasing decisions increase.
