Abstract

This research aims to analyze the public perception of the environmental management system that has been implemented in Hamadi's fish landing base (PPI) and to provide policy strategy recommendations to Local Government regarding the Eco Fishing Port (EFP) implementation at Hamadi PPI. There are 5 aspects that will be examined in the application of eco fishing port concept in a Hamadi PPI, such as; how the environmental management system and the status of its application; how the integrated waste management system; what is the condition of the components of public service facilities; what matters the attention of the management of the fishing port in environmental management; and how the sanitary and hygienic conditions of fish landing sites (TPI). This research used descriptive qualitative method through surveys and interviews. SWOT analysis method used to identify an internal and external factor that influenced the implementation of the Eco Fishing Port, and to find out the best strategy recommendation in order to increase the quality of environment management system at Hamadi PPI. The analysis result shown that the rating value of internal factors (strengths and weaknesses) is 2.510 and the rating value of external factors (opportunities and threats) is -0.175.

Abstract

Geophysical research on geoelectric method configuration schlumburger has been carried out in Sentani Kota area, Jayapura district to analyze the depth of groundwater aquifers. The data consisted of seven points measurement spread in Sentani Kota areas namely Kampung Harapan, Hawaii, Kampung Sereh, Kompleks 751, Pasar Lama, Doyo Baru, and Kampung Toware. The data obtained was done by processing data with IP2WIN software, and then made a subsurface profile likes log. Based on data processing, the results obtained showed that in Kampung Harapan the potential groundwater aquifer was found with a resistivity value of 18 Ωm at a depth of > 17.9 m. In the Hawaiian area potential groundwater aquifers are found with resistivity values of 8.92 Ωm at a depth of 64.7 m. In the Kampung Sereh area potential groundwater aquifers were found with resistivity values of 14 Ωm at a depth of 24 m. In the complex area of 751 a depressed groundwater aquifer is found in two layers with a third layer resistivity value of 106 Ωm at a depth of 13.3 m and a fifth layer 81.8 Ωm at a depth of >28.6 m. In the Pasar Lama area groundwater aquifers were found with resistivity values of 102 Ωm at depths > 17.4 m. In the Doyo Baru area, a potential depressed groundwater aquifer was found with a resistivity value of 50.1 Ωm at a depth of 123 m. And in the Kampung Toware a potential groundwater aquifer is found with a resistivity value of 11.5 Ωm at a depth of >27.7 m. From the results of the study, in the Sentani City area, groundwater aquifers were arranged by lithology of sandstone.

Abstract

The unability in reading, writing and counting of the elementary school students will become a serious problem, facing the more complex lesson. The purpose of this activity was to provide a short training of student about  reading, writing and numeration literacy. The participants were children came from weak economic family, class 1 to 3 of the elementary school. Observation before and after training prove that the learning process, using variation method, was able to improve the student competency in reading, writing and counting. Keywords: reading, writing, numeration literacy, elementary school

Abstract

Rhepang Muaif is one of the villages in the Nimbokrang District, Jayapura. The aim of the activity was to eksplore and collect data of medicinal herbs from Isyo Hill’s Rhepang Muaif forest. Data showed that there were 28 plant species used traditionally by Isyo Hill’s people. Among them, 7 plants usually use to to cure cut, 21 other plants use to cure toothache, tumor, gallblade, uric acid, lung disease, headache, fever, malaria, rheumatic, to make the body slim and to improve stamina. This activity resulted herbarium, greenhouse with Rhepang’s medicinal herbs collections and a book that can be used to learn about Rhepang’s traditional medicinal herbal.Keywords: medicinal herbs, Isyo Hill’s Rhepang Muaif

Abstract

This study aims to find out how to make chemical e-modules based on Papuan local wisdom, development of chemical e-modules based on Papuan local wisdom, feasibility of chemical e-modules based on Papuan local wisdom, improvement of science process skills (KPS) and student learning outcomes. class X science using e-module chemistry based on local Papuan wisdom on the material of reduction and oxidation reactions. The research method used is research and development (R and D). This research was conducted in class X IPA1 SMA YPPK Teruna Bakti Jayapura with a total sample of 28 students. E-chemistry module based on Papuan local wisdom on the material of reduction and oxidation reactions through the ADDIE stage arrangement with the use of the school environment can increase students' chemistry learning outcomes with the n-Gain test obtained an average of 0.74 with a high category.

Abstract

West Koya is one of the areas that has the most fertile land among other villages/sub-districts in the Muara Tami District area. This area has a soil texture and is the most efficient planting medium for secondary crops, especially rice and vegetables. The pest that often appears annoying is the whitefly. The aim of carrying out this community service activity is to provide information about the dangers of continuous use of chemical pesticides and the manufacture of pesticides from essential oils which can be used to treat or prevent nuisance pests such as whiteflies. The stages of the service method used are the initial survey, implementation of activities including counseling and demonstrations, as well as evaluation activity. Apart from that, through this service, West Koya MA students gain their knowledge and students can socialize with the surrounding environment, especially families who have agricultural land. The material presented in this activity will be through counseling sessions and demonstrations. The results of the evaluation of the service activities were assessed as very good by the target group by giving a score with the criteria of very good with a frequency value of 17 and good with a frequency value of 7. The target group's satisfaction score is high because the service activities can help increase insight into the target group.

Abstract

The Katuk plant (Sauropus androgynus L. Merr) is a natural substance with proven efficacy in treating diabetes, obesity, and inflammation. It also possesses antioxidant, lactation-inducing, and antibacterial properties. This study aimed to investigate the impact of varying concentrations of katuk leaf extract on characteristics of the moisturizer cream produced. The study involved extracting katuk leaves using the maceration method for 24 hours, utilizing ethanol as the solvent. The extraction process resulted in a yield of 1.86%. The final yield contains alkaloid chemicals, flavonoids, terpenoids, saponins, and tannins. The formulations employed in this investigation utilized the codes F0, F1, F2, and F3, representing the content of katuk leaf extract at 0%, 2%, 4%, and 6%, respectively. The cream generated exhibited an identifiable aroma of katuk and had a hue ranging from light green to blackish brown, as determined by organoleptic testing. The pH values of specimens F0, F1, F2, and F3 were 7, 7, 7, and 8, respectively. The spread ability measurements for specimens F0, F1, F2, and F3 were 5.3 cm, 5.5 cm, 6 cm, and 6.1 cm, respectively. According to the findings of this investigation, specimens F0, F1, F2, and F3 adhered for 5 seconds, 4 seconds, 4 seconds, and 5 seconds, respectively. The formulation F2 is the most superior product generated in this investigation. This is because this specimen exhibits the highest level of respondent satisfaction compared to the other specimens. This formulation exhibits antioxidant activity with a per cent inhibition of 30.51% and an IC50 value of 84.63 ppm. The face moisturizing cream derived from katuk leaf extract possesses a high antioxidant potency, placing it in the active/strong category.

Abstract

Beberapa sungai yang merupakan sumber air bersih di Kota Jayapura mengalami penurunan debit air yang cukup signifikan. Berkurangnya volume air bersih padahal pertumbuhan penduduk kota semakin meningkat merupakan permasalahan yang harus dihadapi oleh instansi PDAM selaku lembaga penyedia dan pengelola air bersih di daerah perkotaan pada masa mendatang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis daya dukung air dan menyusun strategi pengelolaan sistem penyediaan air minum di Kota Jayapura dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif serta metode analisis deksriptif. Analisis daya dukung air mengacu pada Peraturan Menteri Lingkungan Hidup Nomor 17 tahun 2009 dan analisis strategi pengelolaan sistem penyediaan air minum menggunakan metode SWOT. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan tutupan lahan Kota Jayapura, mempredikasi bahwa daya dukung air pada 2032 akan terjadi defisit air di Kota Jayapura, di mana ketersediaan air (SA) yang sebesar 93.676.705,94 m3/tahun lebih kecil dari kebutuhan air (DA) yang sebesar 1.467.504.000 m3/ tahun. Strategi S-O dijadikan sebagai strategi prioritas, yaitu berupa peningkatan akses layanan air minum, peningkatan kualitas SDM personil PDAM Kota Jayapura, mengembangkan kerja sama dengan instansi teknis bidang air bersih dan lembaga swasta serta menjaga mutu kualitas air dengan pengamanan sumber air baku melalui koordinasi lintas sektor dan keterlibatan lembaga adat.

Abstract

Teluk Youtefa di Kota Jayapura mendapat ancaman serius dari pencemaran limbah hasil kegiatan seluruh masyarakat kota yang masuk ke sungai-sungai dan bermuara di teluk tersebut, yaitu: Sungai Hanyaan, Sungai Siborogonyi dan Sungai Acai. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui aktivitas apa saja yang ada di sepanjang Sungai Hanyaan, Sungai Siborogonyi dan Sungai Acai, serta menganalisis status mutu air pada Sungai Hanyaan, Sungai Siborogonyi, Sungai Acai, dan muara Teluk Youtefa. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif serta menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Kegiatan yang ditemui sepanjang Sungai Hanyaan adalah pemukiman warga, usaha digital printing/percetakan, bengkel, rumah makan, hotel, pencucian mobil-motor, toko dan gudang penyimpanan barang, dan di Sungai Siborogonyi adalah pasar, perumahan BTN Vuria, BTN Kotaraja dan pembukaan lahan untuk dijadikan kebun, serta di Sungai Acai, ada pemukiman penduduk, bengkel mobil-motor, pabrik tahu-tempe, perumahan, sekolah, salon dan pasar. Status mutu air pada hasil pengambilan sampel dari Sungai Hanyaan, Sungai Siborogonyi, dan Sungai Acai, ditentukan dengan rumus indeks pencemaran (IP) yang mengacu pada PermenLHK No. 115 Tahun 2003 dan PP No. 22 Tahun 2021. Diperoleh IP pada bagian hulu Sungai Hanyaan sebesar 6,33 (status cemar sedang) dan bagian hilir Sungai Hanyaan sebesar 8,19 (status cemar sedang). IP pada bagian hulu Sungai Siborogonyi sebesar 7,26 (status cemar sedang), bagian hilir Sungai Siborogonyi sebesar 9,56 (status cemar sedang), dan bagian hulu Sungai Acai didapat IP sebesar 7,76 serta hilir Sungai Acai sebesar 9,53 (status cemar sedang). Untuk muara di Teluk Youtefa, diperoleh IP sebesar 8,70 (status cemar sedang).

Abstract

Perairan di Danau Sentani, Kabupaten Jayapura, mengalami penurunan kualitas akibat pencemaran yang bersumber dari beberapa sungai yang bermuara di sana dan salah satu sungai tersebut adalah Sungai Bambar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi aktivitas masyarakat di sepanjang Sungai Bambar, menganalisis status kualitas air Sungai Bambar, menentukan beban pencemaran Sungai Bambar, dan menyusun strategi pengendalian pencemaran air Sungai Bambar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif, kualitatif, dan kuantitatif yang digunakan untuk menggambarkan kondisi yang terjadi serta metode SWOT dalam menyusun strategi pengendalian pencemaran air Sungai Bambar. Hasil penelitian yang didasarkan pada beberapa parameter fisika, kimia dan biologi, menunjukkan bahwa pencemaran air sungai terjadi pada bagian hulu, tengah dan hilir. Beban polusi sebenarnya sangat besar dibandingkan dengan beban polusi maksimum. Matriks SWOT menunjukkan bahwa posisi internal dan eksternal kajian strategi kebijakan pengendalian pencemaran air terhadap pelestarian sungai yang bermuara di Danau Sentani berada pada posisi kuadran II dengan nilai x = 0,10 dan y = -0,55 dan strategi terpilih adalah strategi ST. Program prioritas pada strategi tersebut adalah membina masyarakat yang tinggal di DAS Bambar dan Danau Sentani, serta pelaku usaha, untuk tidak membuang sampah langsung ke badan sungai dan danau.
