Abstract

Food additives are compounds that are deliberately added to food in certain quantities and sizes and are involved in processing, packaging and/or storage. Food additives are mixed ingredients that are not part of the food raw materials, but are added to food to influence the nature or shape of the food, including colorings, preservatives, flavorings, anti-caking agents, whiteners and thickeners. Most people use food additives without clear measurements, which will have negative consequences for people's health. Therefore, outreach activities are needed to the public regarding the proper and correct use of food additives. The aim of this service activity is to provide information about food additives to the community, especially the community in Pagaruyung village, Tapung District, Kampar Regency. With these service activities and publications, it will help disseminate information regarding the correct use of food additives. Before public outreach, a pre-test was given, where the level of public understanding regarding BTP was 60%. After presenting the BTP material, a post test was carried out where public understanding increased to 92%. For evaluation of the implementation of community service activities, almost all people felt the benefits and were very satisfied with the activities carried out.

Abstract

Figurative language plays a crucial role in enriching poetic expression and developing students’ literary competence, yet its systematic use among junior secondary school students in Indonesia has not been widely documented. This study aimed to analyze the types and functions of figurative language found in a collection of poems written by eighth-grade students at MTs Ja-Alhaq, Bengkulu City. Employing a qualitative descriptive design, the data were collected through documentation of student-written poems and analyzed using semantic and stylistic approaches to identify and classify figurative devices. The analysis revealed frequent use of simile, hyperbole, personification, and repetition, which functioned to emphasize emotional intensity, convey abstract ideas, and enhance the aesthetic quality of the texts, while other devices such as metaphor, allegory, and ellipsis appeared less frequently. These findings suggest that students at the junior secondary level are capable of applying diverse figurative forms, reflecting both creativity and emerging literary awareness. The novelty of this research lies in its empirical focus on adolescent poetry within an Indonesian educational context, an area rarely explored in previous studies. The results imply that integrating figurative language instruction into the language learning curriculum can enhance students’ creativity, critical thinking, and appreciation of literature, while also contributing to the broader development of literacy and character education.

Abstract

Pencak silat merupakan bagian dari warisan budaya yang tidak hanya melatih keterampilan fisik, tetapi juga mengandung nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang relevan diterapkan di sekolah dasar. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan peran pembelajaran pencak silat dalam membentuk disiplin dan pengendalian diri pada siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian dilakukan melalui metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan menelaah berbagai sumber relevan dari jurnal dan publikasi ilmiah. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pencak silat mampu membentuk sikap disiplin, tanggung jawab, dan kemampuan mengendalikan emosi siswa melalui latihan rutin yang terstruktur, berjenjang dan disertai nilai moral serta spiritual. Pencak silat layak dijadikan media pembelajaran karakter di sekolah dasar yang mendukung pembentukan kepribadian siswa secara menyeluruh sejak usia dini.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh zakat produktif dan keterampilan berbisnis terhadap tingkat pendapatan milenial, khususnya penerima zakat produktif BAZNAS di Jakarta Timur. Zakat produktif dimaknai sebagai modal usaha, sedangkan keterampilan berbisnis mencakup aspek teknis, manajerial, dan digital. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis regresi linier berganda terhadap 50 responden.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa zakat produktif dan keterampilan secara simultan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap peningkatan pendapatan. Temuan unik penelitian ini adalah dominannya pengaruh keterampilan digital sebagai penentu utama peningkatan pendapatan, serta konteks perkotaan Jakarta Timur yang belum banyak dikaji dalam studi sebelumnya. Nilai R² sebesar 82,5% menunjukkan bahwa kedua variabel mampu menjelaskan sebagian besar variasi pendapatan. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan integrasi zakat produktif dengan pelatihan keterampilan digital sebagai strategi pemberdayaan ekonomi milenial yang efektif.

Abstract

Field experiment was conducted in 2005 and 2006 to study response of extra-early maize variety (95TZEE-Y1) to rates of NPK (0, 40:20:20, 80:40:40 and 120:60:60 kg N:P2O5:K2O ha-1) and residual FYM (0, 5, 10 and 15 t ha-1 applied to chilli pepper the previous season) in the semi-arid zone of Nigeria.  Randomized complete block design with three replicates was used.  Higher values for soil physical and chemical properties were obtained in plots supplied with manure the previous season with soil from 2006 experiment more fertile than for the first year, hence produced 21% more grain yield. All the applied NPK rates in 2005 and except 40:20:20 ha1 in 2006 had resulted in early maize crop as compared to control.  Husked and de-husked cob and 100-grain weights and grain yield/ha were higher at 120:60:60 kg NPK ha-1.  Maize grown in plot supplied with 15 t FYM ha1 the previous year matured earlier.  Cobs and 100-grain weights and grain yield were highest in plot supplied with 10 t FYM ha1.  The 10t FYM ha-1 had 69% and 68% more grain yield than the control in 2005 and 2006, respectively.  Highest maize yield was obtained at 120:60:60 kg NPK ha-1 or 10t FYM ha-1.  All the parameters measured significantly and positively related to each other when the two years data were combined.

Abstract

Abstrak Pesantren adalah sebuah pendidikan tradisional yang para santrinya tinggal secara bersama dan belajar di bawah asuhan dan bimbingan guru yang lebih dikenal dengan sebutan kyai dan mempunyai asrama untuk tempat menginap santri. Indonesia merupakan negara yang mayoritas penduduknya pemeluk agama islam. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari banyaknya tradisi dan budaya islam nusantara yang ada dalam masyarakat kita saat ini. Terdapat bermacam-macam tradisi, salah satunya yaitu pembacaan kitab Maulid Al-Barzanji. Berdasarkan hasil analisa data diperoleh simpulan bahwa Pelaksanaan pembacaan kitab Maulid Al-Barzanji tidak hanya di lingkup pondok, tetapi juga bersama dengan warga masyarakat sekitar pondok pesantren. Peran pembaacaan Maulid Al-Barzanji sebagai media untuk mengimitasi dan menauladani akhlak dan sifat-sifat Nabi Muhammad SAW. Dimana Nabi Muhammad SAW yang mempunyai sifat shiddiq, amanah, tabligh, fathonah. Kemudian media kultural barzanji memiliki peran untuk menyatukan dan mempererat masyarakat, baik nasionalisme, rasa persatuan, dan juga ukhuwah islamiyah sehingga terjadi persatuan antara pondok pesantren dengan masyarakat dan juga antara pondok peantren dengan organisasi Nahdlatul Ulama beserta Banomnya. Kata Kunci : Pesantren, Tradisi, Al-Barzanji Abstract Pesantren is a traditional education in which the students live together and study under the care and guidance of a teacher who is better known as a kyai and has a dormitory for students to stay. Indonesia is a country where the majority of the population is Muslim. This can be seen from the many Islamic traditions and cultures of the archipelago that exist in our society today. There are various traditions, one of which is the reading of the book of Maulid Al-Barzanji. Based on the results of data analysis, it was concluded that the implementation of reading the book of Maulid Al-Barzanji was not only in the scope of the boarding school, but also with the community around the Islamic boarding school. The role of reading Maulid Al-Barzanji as a medium for imitating and imitating the morals and characteristics of the Prophet Muhammad. Where is the Prophet Muhammad SAW who has the characteristics of Siddiq, Amanah, Tabligh, Fathonah. Then the Barzanji cultural media has a role to unite and strengthen the community, both nationalism, a sense of unity, and also ukhuwah Islamiyah so that there is unity between Islamic boarding schools and the community and also between Islamic boarding schools and the Nahdlatul Ulama organization and its Banom.
