Abstract

The purpose of this research to know whether guava farm is worthy for being business in Pekanbaru , to know how long time return of capital who used  while to know whether guava farm  in Pekanbaru still worthy for being business if there are changes in benefits and costs. Location of the research is purposive in Rumbai and Marpoyan Damai. Data used on this research are Secondary and primary. Primary data obtained from interviews with farmers in region guava Pekanbaru to get technical coefficient data, secondary dataobtainedfrom relevant agencies. Analysis data method was used financial analysis and sensitivity analysis.The result showed of the guava farm for acres 0,6 Ha NPV is Rp .718.515.947, 0.4 Ha NPV is Rp.593.990.733. and0,3 Ha NPV is Rp.487.614.520. Net B/C 0,6 Ha is 6,49, Net B/C 0,4 Ha is6,66. Net B/C 0, 3 Ha is 6,62. NPV value and Net B/C obtained more than 1.  IRR value for the acres 0, 6 Ha is 37,4%, IRR 0, 4 Ha is 36,7%, IRR 0, 3 Ha is 35,5% this value bigger than Discount Factor that used 12%. Value of the payback period obtained for acres 0,6 Ha is 3 years 10,5 months, 0,4 Ha is 4 years 2,9 months , 0,3 Ha is 4 years 7 months . Sensitivity analysis by lowering 10% of output prices,production and increasing input prices of the guava was categorized as “feasible” because NPV, Net B / C, IRR are worth positive.   Keywords: Feasibility, InvestmentCriteriaAnalysis, Sensitivity Analysis

Abstract

Recently, the Economic Performance of Women Group Farmer through Rural Agribusiness Development (PUAP) become an important issue in Indonesia. The objective of this study is to observe economic performance of the Women Group Farmer in Pandan Wangi Village. The method of survey was used in this research. Data was collected using purposive sampling based on criteria such as, active members in PUAP, Age of 15 to 64 years, more than six year business experience in agriculture. The study use Likert’s Summated Rating Scale(LSRS) to analyse participation of respondents. The results show that category of economic performance of the women group farmer is moderate with score 3.07. The use of capital has improved significantly the business performance, farmers’ income and their wellfare. Keywords:Performance,Women Farmer, PUAP, Economic Factors

Abstract

The objective of study was to analyse value chains and marketing margins from Sumber Gizi Nabati (SGN)and Melilea soybean milk agro-industries. This study was conducted from Februari until Maret 2013. Datacollected were those of primary and secondary data. The methods of study used case studies, while thedetermination of the population is conducted by survey method. The data obtained was analyzed usingdescriptive method, scoring in each indicators, multiple regresi analysis and then analysis of the marketingmargins. Most of respondents drawn from incidental consumersof soybean milk powder with number ofsample from SGN 30 people and Melilea 30 people.The result of this study; the value chain showed thatthere are two activities in a company, the primary activity and the support activity; margin analysis showedthat marketing margin of SGN industry greater than Melilea.Key words : Soybean Milk, Value Chain, Consument

Abstract

The policy objective for cacao agribusiness development in the province of Central Sulawesi was directed toward the improvement of production, farm income and employment. In fact, there numerous cases such as scarcity and high prices of inputs, and farmer’s limited capital have become obstacles in these efforts,. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of P2WK project upon income of the cacao farm and its respected income distribution. The results of this study indicated that the P2WK project had affected upon income improvement through better land use, fertilizer, pesticide and the use of non-household labor, but then it was followed by disproportionate distribution of their income.

Abstract

Oil palm is one of the leading plantation commodities in Indonesia. The advantages of palm oil make Indonesia the largest producer and exporter of palm oil in the world. ISPO or Indonesia Sustainable Palm Oil is Indonesian sustainable palm oil that was formed and implemented by the provisions in force in Indonesia. ISPO provisions were drafted in 2011 with the issuance of Minister of Agriculture No.19/Permentan/OT.140/3/2011 concerning Guidelines for Sustainable Oil Palm Plantations in Indonesia and has been updated to Minister of Agriculture No. 11 of 2015. ISPO is mandatory and any violation will be dealt with. In 2020, new provisions on ISPO were drafted with the issuance of Presidential Decree No. 44 of 2020 concerning the Indonesian Sustainable Oil Palm Plantation Certification System. The purpose of this study was to analyze the level of achievement of the ISPO standard for independent oil palm smallholders in Kampar Regency. Sampling a representative area using multistage sampling. From all urban sub-districts in Kampar Regency, 3 sub-districts were selected as samples in this study, namely Tapung Hulu District, Tapung District, and TapungHilir District. There are two types of data used in this study, namely primary data and secondary data. The use of qualitative descriptive analysis in this study is to evaluate the achievement of the ISPO principles and criteria by smallholders. The results of this study indicate that independent oil palm smallholders in Kampar Regency are still not able to apply the best standards for oil palm plantations in accordance with ISPO principles, criteria and indicators. Key words: Smallholders, Independent Oil Palm, ISPO

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the income structure and welfare of sweet orange farmer households. This research was conducted in Raya District, Simalungun Regency. The method used in this study was a survey method with a total of 57 farmers taken as respondents using a purposive sampling method, namely farmers who have productive citrus plants. Based on the results of household income analysis, it shows that the average household income of sweet orange farmers is Rp 42,897,107/cultivated area/year. The structure of household income for sweet orange farmers comes from the sweet orange farming sector (68.46%), non-sweet orange farming (19.33%) and non-agriculture (12.21%). The welfare level of sweet orange farmer households based on 7 BPS indicators is in the prosperous category (91.23%).

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the largest nutmeg producing country globally, followed by Guatemala, India and Nepal. Indonesia also the world’s leading largest harvest area with the nutmeg exporter which accounts for significant part of the nutmeg demand approximately 31.03 percent of the world's nutmeg production. This study aims to analyzed the response of supply and demand for Indonesian nutmeg in the international market over the period of 1985-2019. Secondary data were collected from various sources, including FAO and World Bank. This research used an econometric approach by constructed simultaneous equation model. Result showed that responsive factors affecting supply and demand for Indonesian nutmeg in the short term were export and nutmeg production and in the long terms were fertilizer urea Indonesia price in the previous year, growth nutmeg harvested area, Indonesian nutmeg supply, exchange rate of US dollars, per capita income, and the world nutmeg prices. Recommended policy for the Government that Indonesian nutmeg can be developed through a program directed at improving the price and expanding the harvest area. As a result of this policy implication, nutmeg supply grew significantly. By raising the farm level nutmeg price, able to increasing  Indonesian nutmeg farmers' incomes affect to increasing their welfare.

Abstract

This study is intended to obtain the data which will be able to reveal the informationabout external, internal faktors and its impact to behavior of Patin fish consumer. Theobject of this study is people who consume Patin fish in Pekanbaru. The method beingused in this research is survey method with number of samples accounted to 100 people.The hypothesis of this study is tested by applying path analysis.The hypothesis of thestudy are: (1) external and internal faktors, positively influence the perception ofcustomers; (2) the perception of customers, positively influence the attitude andpreference of customers; (3) the attitude and preference of customers, positivelyinfluence the consumer behavior of patin fish.The results oh this study indicated that,simultaneously, the external and internal faktors have significant impact on the behaviorof Patin fish consumers.Keywords: external, internal, behavior

Abstract

Value Chain Analysis is a valueable analytical tool to understand activities and provide information on company position in the value in the form of product and service value. The Value Chain Analysis helps the company to indentify a company position and analyze activities in value chain and to reduce or eliminate activities that are not create additional value or product and services. In the field of pineapple chip agroindustries facing with low price and low of bargaining position. Those condition make the company in a difficult situation to take decision. Quality of pineapple chips are needed to be increasing. The company can determine competitive strategy and low cost. The company must maintain and improve the relationship with customers.

Abstract

This study was aimed at: 1) identifying household expenditure structures of paddy farmers in Bunga Raya Sub district Siak District; 2) analyzing household consumption patterns of paddy farmers in Bunga Raya Sub district Siak District and 3) analyzing dominant factors affecting consumption patterns of paddy farmers in Bunga Raya Sub district Siak District. The research was conducted at two villages in Bunga Raya Sub district, which were Bunga Raya and Kemuning Muda by using survey method. Random sampling was used for selecting samples by interviewing 42 respondents. Binary logistic model of expenditure structures and consumption patterns were used to analyze the data. According to the analysis of income structure, the largest household income was based on paddy farming. Consumption patterns of paddy farmers household showed that food expenditure was as much as non-food expenditure. The dominant factors affecting food consumption patterns of paddy farmers household were income and number of household members. Relationship between status of occupation and expenditure allocation opportunity was inversely proportional. This means that the smaller the household income and the greater the number of family members, the higher the opportunity for farmers to allocate their expenditure on food consumption.
