Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) technology in improving agricultural productivity in Nagekeo Regency. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving informants from the Department of Agriculture, agricultural extension workers, farmers, and community members. Data analysis used the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, while the policy implementation analysis applied George C. Edward III’s framework, which includes communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure. The results indicate that the implementation of CSA in Nagekeo Regency has been carried out through socialization, training, and field assistance for farmers. However, its implementation has not been optimal due to several constraints, including communication barriers, limited human resources, and weak institutional coordination. In addition, some farmers are still hesitant to adopt new technologies due to conventional farming practices, limited knowledge, and farming risks. Therefore, strengthening policy communication, improving farmers’ capacity, intensifying extension services, and enhancing institutional coordination are necessary to ensure the effective and sustainable implementation of CSA.

Abstract

Public space revitalization is an important strategy in urban development aimed at improving the quality of urban environments while stimulating social interaction and local economic activities. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Motang Rua Field revitalization program in Manggarai Regency and assess the extent to which the program achieved its intended development objectives. The study employed a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through field observations, in-depth interviews with key informants including local government officials, project contractors, small business actors, and community members, as well as documentation related to the revitalization program. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, supported by triangulation techniques to ensure data validity. The findings indicate that the revitalization program demonstrates a high level of relevance to community needs and aligns with the regional development vision of Ruteng Kota Molas. The implementation process shows strong coherence through effective inter-institutional coordination and consistency between planning and execution. The revitalization has also proven effective in improving public facilities, enhancing community social activities, and stimulating local economic growth through increased micro and small business activities. Furthermore, the program was implemented efficiently in terms of budget management and project timeline. The revitalization also contributes to strengthening socio-cultural values through the preservation of the historical figure Motang Rua and shows strong sustainability potential through increased public utilization of the revitalized space.

Abstract

The increasing incidence of violence against women and children requires an active and effective role of public organizations in providing sustainable protection. This study aims to analyze the role of the Population Control, Women’s Empowerment, and Child Protection Office (DP5A) of West Sumba Regency in handling cases of violence against women and children. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis from purposively selected informants and analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, supported by source and technique triangulation. The findings indicate that DP5A has performed its facilitative, educational, representative, and technical roles; however, their implementation has not been optimal. Major obstacles include limited facilities such as the absence of a permanent safe house, inadequate operational infrastructure, limited human resource capacity, underutilization of information technology and digital media, as well as cultural and administrative constraints. This study concludes that institutional strengthening, capacity building of personnel, optimization of technology utilization, and enhanced cross-sector collaboration are essential to improve the effectiveness of protection for women and children at the local level.
