Abstract

The fulfillment of family health duties is essential to improve the nutritional status of children under five years old. This study contributed to determining the influence of family health tasks on the nutritional status of children under five years old with the Family Centered Nursing (FCN) model approach. The Quasi-Experimental research design with the Pretest Posttest Nonequivalent Control Group Design approach with a sample of 150 people divided into 75 people in the intervention group and the control group. Data collection by measuring nutritional status (BB/U) from the Ministry of Health in 2020. Pre-test through measurement of nutritional status of children under five years old. The intervention was given for 8 weeks through a family health task intervention with the FCN model approach in the intervention group, and independent learning through modules in the dick group. Furthermore, a post-test is carried out through the measurement of the nutritional status of children under five years old. Data processing includes editing, coding, scoring, and tabulating, and then statistical tests are carried out for the Wilcoxon Rank Test. Results: There was a difference in the nutritional status of children under five years after being given the intervention in family health tasks. Family health tasks are effective in improving the nutritional status of children under five years old (P-v 0.025). Optimizing family health tasks with the FCN model approach is a strategic solution in public health programs that focus on improving the nutritional status of children under five years old.

Abstract

One of the health indicators that is assessed for the success of its achievement of the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) is the nutritional status of children under five. The family has an important role in improving and monitoring the nutritional status of children under five. The purpose of this community service is to increase the ability of families to deal with malnutrition in children under five through the PELITA Movement "Care for Children Under-Nutrition". The community service of the PELITA Movement in Lengkong Village, Mojoanyar District, UPT Working Area, Gayaman Health Center, Mojokerto Regency will be held in June-December 2024. The target of the PELITA Movement is 22 families with under-nutrition children under five. The implementation method of this activity includes the preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. The preparation stage is carried out through permits to the village and socialization to families with under-nutrition of children under five. The implementation stage is fulfilled, to pre-test the family's ability to handle under-nutrition in children under five. The PELITA movement is given through nutrition education and coaching to families through home visits. The final stage is an evaluation (post-test) to determine the family's ability to handle under-nutrition children under five. Family ability increased by 63.6% to good. There was an influence of the PELITA Movement in improving the ability of families to overcome under-nutrition in children under five (P-value 0.001<0.05). Abstract

The quality of nursing services for hemodialysis patients is determined by the role and performance of nurses based on spiritual intelligence. Nurses use spiritual intelligence when providing nursing care to hemodialysis patients so that patients feel satisfaction from actions that have an impact on the quality of service. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the relationship between nurses' spiritual intelligence and service satisfaction in the hemodialysis room. This study used a cross-section design with a sample of 35 nurses and 153 hemodialysis patients at RSUD Dr. Soetomo. This research used a total technique for nurses and a simple random sampling technique for patients in hemodialysis installations. Research data was collected through a questionnaire from the spiritual intelligence variable with a valid test of 0.460-0.906 and a reliable test of 0.361 as well as a patient satisfaction questionnaire related to service quality with a valid test of 0.870-0.982 and a reliable test of 0.785. Research data was processed using a logistic regression test with a p-value ≤ 0.05. The results of the logistic regression test show that the p-value is 0.001, so it can be interpreted that H0 is rejected. This shows that there is a relationship between nurses' spiritual intelligence and the quality of hemodialysis services. Spiritual intelligence will create optimal nurse performance in taking action. The performance of nurses in hemodialysis tasks is quite complex with the number of patients being unbalanced with the number of nurses which influences the quality of nursing services.

Abstract

The implementation of digital-based information systems in nursing care documentation has been widely implemented in hospitals. However, nurses are still dissatisfied because they feel burdened by the digital system and this impacts patient satisfaction in receiving nursing care. Therefore, analysis is needed regarding the implementation of a digital-based nursing information system with nurse job satisfaction and patient satisfaction in hospitals. This study used a cross-section comparative design with a sample of 222 nurses and 222 patients. The sample was selected using a simple random sampling technique. Data collection using a questionnaire includes the independent variable in the form of the implementation of a nursing information system and the dependent variable in the form of nurse job satisfaction and patient satisfaction. Data were analyzed using the independent t-test with a p-value ≤ 0.05. Research results from the independent t-test statistical test. The p-value is 0.000 < 0.05, so according to the basis of decision-making in the test it can be concluded that H0 is rejected, which means there is a difference in average between nurse job satisfaction and patient satisfaction in the implementation of a digital-based nursing management information system in nursing services in the Inpatient Room RSUD Dr. Soetomo Surabaya. Implementation of a digital nursing information system provides nurses with effectiveness and efficiency in carrying out their duties. This makes the workload of nurses lighter increases the productivity of the quality of nursing received by patients and has an impact on patient satisfaction. Nursing management is expected to improve the implementation of supervision of nursing care documentation by looking at the completeness and suitability of SOPs in the nursing information system (SIK). In addition, nursing management needs to develop a nursing information system (SIK) model in collaboration with the hospital information technology team so that nurses are effective and efficient in implementing nursing care documentation.

Abstract

The quality of nursing services for hemodialysis patients is determined by the role and performance of nurses. High workloads are often the reason nurses leave work, which can disrupt the continuity of patient care. A high workload can have a negative impact on the quality of nurses' work, while a balanced workload can improve the quality of work. This study used a cross-section design with a sample of 35 hemodialysis nurses at RSUD Dr. Soetomo. The research was carried out in the Hemodialysis room at Dr Soetomo Hospital, Surabaya. Research data regarding workload and service quality variables was collected through questionnaires. Research data was processed using Spearmen rho with a p-value ≤ 0.05. The statistical test results show that the p-value is 0.000, so it can be interpreted that H0 is rejected. This indicates a relationship between nurses' workload and the quality of hemodialysis services. The workload creates optimal nurse performance in carrying out actions. The performance of nurses in hemodialysis tasks, which are quite complex, with the number of patients being disproportionate to the number of nurses, has an effect on the quality of nursing services.

Abstract

Background: Stunting among children under five remais a serious problem and a key target of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Understanding its determinants in stunting-locus villages is crucial for developing appropriate interventions. Objective: To analyze determinants of stunting prevalence and dominant factors influencing stunting in children under fivein stunting-locus villages. Methods: A cross-sectional correlational design. Population consisted of all children under five and their families in 13 stunting-locus villages. Sampling was conducted using a proportional cluster sampling method, involving a total of 326 participants. Bivariate analysis employed the Chi-Square test, and multivariate analysis utilized Multiple Logistic Regression. Results: There is correlation between nutritional intake (0.026), maternal education (0.037), parenting (0.035), infectious diseases (0.042) and prevalence of stunting. Nutritional intake is dominant variable influencing stunting. Meanwhile, age, gender, breastfeeding, birth weight, birth history, utilization of health facilities during pregnancy, immunization status, family income, number of family members are confounding variables. Poor nutritional intake is 14 times more likely (AOR 14.357) to result in stunted growth compared to children under five with good nutritional intake, after controlling for variables such as parenting, history of infectious diseases, maternal education. Interaction test results showed an interaction between food intake and parenting patterns (0.020) Conclusion: Efforts to address stunting should focus on improving nutritional intake for children under five, while considering quality of parenting patterns provided to them.
