Abstract

This study is a research and development (R & D). The model used in this research is to adapt the development of the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) developed by Thiagarajan. This study aims to generate the teaching materials based contextual and ICT are good at program linear and to determine the effectiveness of teaching materials based contextual and ICT at program linear on learning outcomes. Data collection instruments used in this study in the form of questionnaires, interviews, sheet validation, and matter. Data analysis techniques used in this research and development is a qualitative descriptive analysis technique to calculate the average, while for influence before and after treatment that uses the analysis of paired sample t-test. The conclusions obtained from the development are teaching materials based contextual and ICT  are very valid and practical for use in the learning process. From the test results, it can be concluded that there is a very significant influence mathematics teaching materials based contextual and ICT  on student learning outcomes. So, teaching materials based contextual and ICT  is very effective for use in learning the material Program Linear

Abstract

The quality of a student can be demonstrated from academic success as reflected in the cumulative achievement index (GPA) achieved. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the academic success of students of the Mathematics Education Study Program at Muhammadiyah Metro University, examine the significance of the overall and individual model parameters, and form a binary logistic model of student success. The subjects of this study were students in Mathematics Education at Muhammadiyah University of Metro. While the sample used is students of the 2-6 semester Mathematics Education of Muhammadiyah Metro University 2017/2018 Academic Year as many as 108 students. Based on the results of the study and discussion, the conclusions are: 1) Based on the variables that have been included in this study, the factors that most influence the academic success of students as indicated by GPA acquisition with the "With Praise" category are the major factors taken students while studying in high school (SMA) / equivalent; 2) The overall model parameters have a significant influence on the academic success of students and individually / partially the most significant influence is the departmental factor; 3) The regression model that is formed isg(x) = -0,924-2,575(Jurusan_1)

Abstract

Low of mathematical literacy become this research base. Alternative solution in overcoming the problem is needed absolutely, so this research aim to analyze the essence of learning the strategy of Wankat-Oreovocz problem solving and the Probing Technique learning as alternative the problem solution. The research design which is used is a non-equivalent control group design by using technique of Purposive Sampling. The Research Subject is all eight grade students of Sukahaji Junior High School with the research sample is eight grade students. The research instrument used in the form is mathematical literacy test of level 5, teaching materials and questionnaire. Result of the research indicates that: There is not the difference of mathematical literacy of level 5 at student who is getting strategy of Wankat-Oreovocz problem solving (WO) and the Probing Technique learning (TP)

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian pengembangan ini adalah menghasilkan produk berupa media pembelajarn berbasis animasi menggunakan construct 2 yang “layak” digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran untuk peserta didik di SMA Negeri 1 Purbolinggo dan menghasilkan produk yang “praktis” digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran untuk peserta didik di SMA Negeri 1 Purbolinggo. Model pengembangan yang digunakan sebagai dasar penelitian ini adalah model 4D yang terdiri dari 4 tahap yaitu Define, Design, Development, Disseminate. Instrument pengumpulan data pada pengembangan ini berupa angket validasi ahli dan angket kepraktisan produk. Hasil pengembangan produk berupa media pembelajaran animasi diperoleh analisis materi 89% yang masuk dalam kategori “sangat layak” dan analisis ahli media 90% yang masuk dalam kategori “sangat layak” untuk digunakan pada saat uji coba. Selanjutnya uji coba kelompok kecil dilakukan oleh 10 peserta didik diperoleh 90% yang masuk dalam kategori “sangat praktis” digunakan pada proses pembelajaran. Berdasarkan kriteria yang telah ditetapkan media pembelajaran berbasis animasi pada materi logika yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria layak dan praktis. Kata kunci: Pengembangan, media pembelajaran, berbasis animasi, Construct 2, logika. Abstract The purpose of this development research is to produce a product in the form of an animation-based learning media using construct 2 that is “feasible” to bw used as learning medium for students in SMA Negesi 1 Purbolinggo and to produce pruducts that are “practical” used as a learning medium for students at SMA Negeri 1 Purbolinggo. The development model used as the basid of this research is the 4D model which consists of 4 stages, namely Define, Design, Development, Disseminate. Data collection instruments in this development were expert validation questionnaire and product practicality questionnaire. The results of product development in the form of instructional media animation obtained 89% of material analysis included in the “very feasible” category and 90% of media expert analysis included in the “very feasible” category for use at the time of the trial. Furthermore, small group trials conducted by ten students obtained 90% which fall into the “very practical” ctegory used in the learning process. Based learning media on logic material that is developed it meets the feasible and practical criteria.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan dalam pengembangan ini adalah mengahasilkan produk berupa media pembelajaran berbasis android menggunakan android studio yang layak dan praktis untuk digunakan siswa di kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Punggur. Model yang digunakan dalam penelitian pengembangan ini adalah model 4-D. Tahapan model 4-D terdiri dari Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa angket. Angket yang di gunakan yaitu angket validasi ahli untuk penilaian kelayakan produk dan angket siswa untuk melihat kepraktisan produk.Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini mencakup beberapa langkah, yaitu analisis data, tabulasi data, dan menafsirkan presentase angket.Hasil validasi yang diperoleh dari media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan dinyatakan sangat layak dengan presentase validasi ahli materi 83%, ahli media 88%, dan dengan rata-rata yang diperoleh 86%. Hasil uji coba kelompok kecil yang pertama memperoleh presentase 85% dan uji coba kedua memperoleh presentase 88% dengan rata-rata 86,5% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Berdasarkan kriteria yang telah ditetapkan maka media pembelajaran berbasis android menggunakan android studio ini dinyatakan layak dan praktis. Kata kunci: android studio; media pembelajaran; penelitian pengembangan (R&D); turunan ABSTRACT The purpose of this development is to produce a product in the form of an Android-based learning media using an Android studio that is feasible and practical to be used by students in class XI of SMA Negeri 1 Punggur.The model used in this development research is a 4-D model. The stages of the 4-D model consist of Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate. The instrument of data collection is a questionnaire. The questionnaire used is an expert validation questionnaire for the assessment of product feasibility and student questionnaires to see the practicality of the product. The dasta analysis technique used in this study includes several sterps, namely data analysis, data tabulation, and interpreting the percentage of questionnaires. The results of the validation obtained from the learning media developed were declared very feasible with the percentage of material expert validation 83%, 88% media experts, and with an average of 86%. The results of the first small group trial obtained a percentage of 85% and the second trial obtained a percentage of 88% with an average of 86.5% with a very practical category. Based on the established criteria, the Android-based learning media using Android Studio are declared feasible and practical. Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah model pembelajaran Conceptual Understanding Procedures berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemahamn konsep matematis siswa SMP Negeri 2 Bumiratu Nuban. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu. Adapun desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Pretest-Posttest only Control Group Design. Variabel dalam penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran Conceptual Understanding Procedures sebagai variabel bebas dan pemahaman konsep sebagai variabel terikat. Populasi penelitian ini seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Bumiratu Nuban. Penentuan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yaitu siswa kelas VIIIB sebagai kelas eksperimen yang berjumlah 25 siswa dan siswa kelas VIIIC sebagai kelas kontrol yang berjumlah 25 siswa. Pemahaman konsep yang dimaksud adalah pemahaman konsep pada materi Bangun Ruang Sisi Datar. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes akhir (posttest) yang terdiri dari 5 soal. Analisis data menggunakan uji-t. Hasil penelitian menggunakan uji-t diperoleh hasil uji perbedaan dua rata-rata yaitu thitung = 7,408 dan ttabel = 2,314, sehingga H0 ditolak dan terima H1. Dengan demikian rata-rata kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran CUPs lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran CUPs terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Bumiratu Nuban. Kata kunci: conceptual understanding procedures; pemahaman konsep ABSTRACT The Aim of this research is to determine whether the Conceptual Understanding Procedures learning model affects the mathematical understanding ability of students of SMP Negeri 2 Bumiratu Nuban. This research is a quasi experimental study. The design used in this study is Pretest-Posttest only Control Group Design. The variables in this study are Conceptual Understanding Procedures learning models as independent variables and conceptual understanding as dependent variables. The study population was all eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Bumiratu Nuban. Determination of the sample using a purposive sampling technique, namely students of class VIIIB as an experimental class totaling 25 students and students of class VIIIC as a control class of 25 students. Understanding the concept in question is an understanding of the concepts in the material Build Flat Side Space. Data collection techniques were carried out through a final test (posttest) consisting of 5 questions. Data analysis using t-test. The results of the study using t-test obtained two different mean test results, namely tcount = 7.408 and ttable = 2.314, so that H0 was rejected and received H1. Thus the average ability of students to understand mathematical concepts using the CUPs learning model is higher than conventional learning. So it can be concluded that there is an influence of the learning model of CUPs on the understanding of mathematical concepts of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Bumiratu Nuban. Abstract

Berdasarkan prasurvey yang telah dilakukan diketahui bahwa belum adanya Bahan Ajar yang sesuai guna memfasilitasi mahasiswa dalam mempelajari geoemtri dasar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan bahan ajar berbasis penemuan terbimbing pada mata kuliah Geometri Dasar yang valid dan praktis untuk digunakan dalam memfasilitasi pencapaian kemampuan belajar mahasiswa. Subyek Penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah 10 mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Muhammadiyah Metro. Pada penelitian ini jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah jenis Penelitian dan Pengembangan. Model yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah mengadaptasi model Plomp (2013) yang memiliki tiga tahap yaitu Preliminary Research, Prototyping, dan Assesment. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi, dan lembar angket. Berdasarkan dari hasil penelitian untuk memenuhi kriteria valid, diperoleh rata-rata hasil dari 3 validator memberikan nilai 109 dengan persentase 75,69% tergolong kriteria cukup valid. Uji coba terbatas kepada mahasiswa diperoleh nilai 3,11 yang masuk dalam kategori praktis/mudah. Penelitian berikutnya yang dapat dilakukan adalah menguji keefektifan bahan ajar geometri dasar berbasis penemuan terbimbing yang telah dikembangkan tersebut.

Abstract

The low learning outcomes of students, because they have difficulty in solving the problems given, especially trigonometry material and the lack of interest of students in participating in the mathematics learning process. In addition, teachers and students have not utilized information technology optimally, so efforts are needed to improve student learning outcomes by applying MEA (Means-End Analysis) learning. The research subjects were all class VIII students of SMA Negeri 1 Pekalongan in the 2018/2019 academic year. Research sample is class XI b, which amounted to 22 students. The purpose of this classroom action research to determine the increase in learning outcomes of students who get the MEA (Means-End Analysis) learning model assisted by Schoology. Based on the results of the class action research conducted and the discussion that has been described, it can be concluded that the MEA (Means-End Analysis) learning model assisted by Schoology can improve the learning outcomes of class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Pekalongan in the 2018/2019 Academic Year. Learning outcomes have increased from pre-survey to cycle I wherein the survey that is 31,82% to 45,45%, students who are thoroughly studied have increased by 13,63%. in cycle II the learning outcomes of students increased from Cycle I is 45,45% to 95,45%, students who have completed learning have increased by 50%.Keywords: learning MEA (Means-End Analysis), Schoology, learning outcomes

Abstract

The pizza problem was chosen because the question consistently appears in every activity conducted by the Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) to measure mathematical literacy. However, Indonesian students have not yet successfully solved the pizza problem correctly. The purpose of this study is to describe the mathematical literacy of students in solving pizza problems that have been adapted in the process component and differences. This study focuses on students' answers in solving pizza problems with different information in each question. Data collection was carried out using tests and interviews. The research method employed is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The research subjects were ninth-grade junior high school students. Data collection was carried out to identify students' mathematical literacy on pizza problems by analyzing the results of tests and interviews. The results showed that: 1. students had difficulty in solving pizza problems, formulating mathematical problems, performing calculations using the concept of specific formula rules, and interpreting from a precise process correctly; 2. there are differences in students' answers in solving three types of pizza problems. Students did not solve pizza problems correctly through the correct calculation and interpretation, but on type 2 questions, students performed better than the students working on the other two problems. Students can easily understand the question with more detailed explanations. Therefore, in adapting a question from a foreign language, a careful, thorough, and accurate interpretation is required.Masalah pizza dipilih karena pertanyaan tersebut selalu muncul dalam setiap kegiatan yang dijalankan oleh Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) untuk mengukur literasi matematis. Namun demikian, siswa Indonesia belum berhasil menyelesaikan masalah pizza dengan benar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan literasi matematika siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal pizza yang telah diadaptasi pada komponen proses dan perbedaan jawaban siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal pizza yang telah diadaptasi dengan memberikan informasi yang berbeda pada setiap soal. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas 9 Sekolah Menengah Pertama. Pengumpulan data dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi literasi matematis siswa pada soal pizza dengan menganalisis hasil tes dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1. siswa kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan masalah pizza, siswa kesulitan dalam merumuskan masalah secara matematis, siswa belum mampu melakukan perhitungan menggunakan konsep aturan rumus tertentu; serta siswa belum mampu menafsirkan dari suatu proses matematis dengan benar; 2. terdapat perbedaan jawaban siswa dalam menyelesaikan 3 tipe soal masalah pizza yang diadaptasi, pada soal tipe 2 siswa menunjukkan kinerja lebih baik dibandingkan siswa yang mengerjakan dua soal lainnya. Oleh karena itu dalam mengadaptasi soal berbahasa asing maka harus mengartikannya dengan hati-hati, teliti dan cermat.
