Abstract

Music research in Lampung is expanding in a variety of ways. The abundance of local music data promotes basic notions regarding music research to be developed further. This page looks into research literature sources focusing on Lampung music and cultural research. Journal library sources and conference presentations are employed to develop research proposals carried out. The goal is to map out music research concerning cultural promotion and education strategies based on Lampung culture. Mapping regional music is a preliminary study used to select the next level of research. The literature study revealed several opportunities for regional music research, both within the frameworks of music education, musicology and ethnomusicology. Music research is a broad area that can be tackled from various perspectives. The more significant the impact on music literacy in Lampung, the broader academics' perspective identifies potential music study themes. Lampung is home to many social and musical phenomena that have yet to be thoroughly investigated.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the phenomenon of K-Pop music from a cultural studies perspective, particularly in relation to consumer culture among fans. In this context, K-Pop music is not only positioned as entertainment, but also as a form of cultural construction that influences the consumption patterns and lifestyles of fans. Method: This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through literature review, semi-structured interviews, and the distribution of questionnaires to active students who follow K-Pop developments. Literature data was obtained from academic journals, reference books, and relevant and credible sources to strengthen the analytical framework. This study applies triangulation techniques as a method of processing the data obtained. Result and Discussion: The study shows that support for K-Pop music is an initial representation of fans' emotional loyalty, which gradually develops into consumption patterns that are ingrained in their identity, such as purchasing products released by K-Pop idols and adopting a Korean lifestyle. These findings reveal that the consumerist culture within the K-Pop fan community is not limited to economic aspects but also reflects social and symbolic dynamics among teenagers and young adults, particularly K-Pop fan students. Implication: In the era of globalization, technology is a necessity, including the need for musical artists or musicians to realize their works. The realization of musical works can be done through recording and performance activities. MIDI, as a technological product, can be a solution for composers and musicians in creating musical works. MIDI can make the process of recording and performing musical works effective and efficient.

Abstract

Formal education aims to provide a strong foundation for students by providing knowledge, skills, and attitudes that are relevant to the development needs of individuals and society. Through education, individuals can be shaped into individuals with extensive knowledge, adequate skills, and strong character. Through the educational process, a person is equipped not only with intellectual abilities but also with the moral values, attitudes, and ethics necessary for social life. The purpose of this study is to obtain information on how the use of audiovisual learning media can enhance students' motivation in piano lessons. This media is used as a means to present piano material in a more engaging way through a combination of sound and visual elements, which helps students understand the material more clearly. To describe the process and effects of using learning media, this study employs a qualitative and descriptive methodology. The research shows that audiovisual learning media can increase students’ interest in learning, as indicated by improved attention, motivation, and active participation during the learning process. Therefore, audiovisual media can be used as an effective alternative for teaching piano and supporting the achievement of learning objectives.

Abstract

While AI offers many advantages, its implementation in music learning is not without challenges. The emotional and aesthetic interactions typically present in traditional music learning can be diminished if overly reliant on technology. Furthermore, there are concerns that the use of AI could diminish the role of teachers or lead to dependence on digital devices. Therefore, a comprehensive analysis is needed to determine how AI can be used in a balanced way without diminishing the essence of music learning itself. This study aims to analyze the influence of artificial intelligence (AI) technology on the music learning process using a literature review approach. The main issue studied is how AI changes the way students understand theory, practice, and creativity in music. Through a review of various scientific sources such as journals, books, and recent research reports, this study highlights the role of AI in enhancing learning personalization, providing automated feedback, and expanding access to digital music materials. The literature review method allows researchers to identify patterns, benefits, and challenges of using AI in music education. The results show that AI technology can enrich the learning experience, strengthen musical analysis skills, and assist teachers in designing more adaptive learning, but still requires human guidance to maintain pedagogical quality and students' creative aspects.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the difficulties students face when learning classical guitar techniques in music education programs. Mastering classical guitar techniques is a crucial skill for music education students because it requires complex technical, musical, and theoretical skills. However, during the learning process, students often encounter various obstacles that prevent them from acquiring these skills. This study used qualitative methods to collect data in the form of a literature review conducted through a review of textbooks, academic journals, research articles, and other academic sources related to classical guitar and music education. The analysis found that students' difficulties generally relate to basic technical aspects such as hand position, fingering, and left/right hand coordination, as well as learning more advanced techniques such as arpeggios, tremolos, and music interpretation. Additionally, other factors contributing to student difficulties include limited practice time, differences in musical backgrounds, a lack of understanding of musical notation, and low learning motivation. The results of this study are expected to serve as material for curriculum evaluation to develop more effective and adaptive classical guitar teaching strategies tailored to the needs of teachers and students, thereby improving the quality of teaching and learning outcomes in music education programs.
