Abstract

The Lampung societies have many arts and cultures, one of which is a gambus tunggal. The characteristic of gambus that are played solely and has an original tuning system. A gambus tunggal style produces a melodic tone, accompanied by chanted poems that involve new romantic romance of Lampung, or parents’ advice to their children. This ethnography study aims to comprehend how the gambus tunggal artists maintain the existence in Lampung. The study applies a descriptive method with a qualitative idea. We have interrogated and field studies to gather primary data. A purposive sampling technique was used to interview a gambus tunggal player who existed for decades. The result indicates that a gambus tunggal artist is doing a collaborative struggle to support gambus tunggal and living sources’ survival. They need collaboration to keep the existence of traditional Lampung music. Gambus players have considered using social media as a promotional strategy. The local government’s role has a tremendous impact, for example, providing an opportunity to perform gambus tunggal at various events, festivals, and many competitions. Therefore, the tourism sector is the foundation of Lampung’s traditional music. It establishes policies to serve various performing arts.

Abstract

This study describes the social behavior of childhood at Sebesi Island South Lampung, Lampung Province in 2018. This study used a qualitative research with ethnographic methods. The data were collected through observation, interview, photo documentation, and written documentation. The data were analyzed by Spradley models. The result showed that (1) Social behavior of early childhood at the Sebesi Island is formed in traditions of activities together that followed by early childhood (2) The process of formation of social behavior in early childhood through the direct involvement of children by following the traditions (3) the involvement of the community (socio-cultural) through all citizens participation and communities in providing direct example through traditional activity. The recommendations of this study are a reflection of social behavior in early childhood, especially in society life and multicultural education. Keywords: social behavior, early childhood, ethography

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana proses penggunaan notasi balok pada kegiatan ekstrakurikuler paduan suara di SMA Negeri 01 Blambangan Umpu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriftif. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah teori behavioristik, dengan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan penggunaan notasi balok pada ekstrakurikuler paduan suara berlangsung selama 2 bulan yaitu sebanyak 8 kali pertemuan. Diketahui bahwa guru yang mengajar bukan berlatar belakang pendidikan seni khususnya seni musik. Dari beberapa pernyataan yang telah dipaparkan diketahui bahwa penggunaan notasi balok pada ekstrakurikuler paduan suara belum dapat berlangsung dengan baik. Hal ini dilihat dari saat membaca partitur secara bersama-sama anggota ekstrakurikuler paduan suara masih dibantu oleh pelatih ekstrakurikuler paduan suara. Kata Kunci : Penggunaan, Notasi Balok, Paduan Suara

Abstract

This study explores instrumentalist (students) self-regulation in self-learning practices in a counter-bass class by integrating a performance pedagogy perspective. Self-regulation is the ability of individuals to regulate the learning process through planning, monitoring, and evaluating their performance (practice). This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and analysis of daily practice journals from students who took counter-bass classes at the college level. The results showed that effective self-regulation in counter-bass instrumentalists involves structured rehearsal planning, performance reflection, and artistic interpretation strategies aligned with pedagogical principles. This research makes a theoretical contribution to the development of self-regulation in the context of performance pedagogy by highlighting how self-directed learning strategies can be strengthened by integrating performative approaches. Implications of this research include incorporating elements of self-regulation and performance pedagogy into music education curricula, particularly on string instruments such as the contra-bass, which require a complex blend of technical and musical skills.

Abstract

Purpose: This article aims to explore the extent of the use of digital technology-based learning media in guitar lessons. Selecting the proper learning technique and considering how each component works might end in an effective learning process. The learning media component, for example, assists teachers in meeting the needs of their pupils and encourages active participation from all of them. The characteristics and aims of the student learning environment can be addressed in learning materials. Since the major in guitar lessons is a practical subject, effective learning results need the utilization of appropriate media. For this reason, educators use digital technology to enhance learning. Software, programs, websites, and social media are indications of digital technology media. The learning objectives for guitar strongly emphasize song repertoire, dance, and scale development. While learners cannot comprehend the score's sound, the song's rhythm and the guitar lick or pattern do not match the composer's intended interpretation, making learning to play the instrument by merely reading sheet music less than ideal. The qualitative method was applied in this study to examine the implementation of learning media based on the Guitar Pro program and the link between each variable, using descriptive narrative writing to illustrate the difficulties studied effectively. Result: The beneficial effects of using the Guitar Pro program as a learning media in electric guitar majors may be sensed in its ability to maximize learning processes and outcomes. Conclusion: This Guitar Pro application-based media can also be used in online learning, such that while showing guitar teaching content, the Guitar Pro app may help and guide students in understanding the material.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to examine student self-efficacy in the use of "live video" in learning counter bass in the Music Education Study Program (PSPM), Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), University of Lampung (Unila). In recent years, there has been a growing interest among academics and practitioners in exploring the factors that contribute to students' declining awareness of learning music, including students' self-efficacy in selfpractice of musical instruments, as traditional self-practice without supervision is no longer effective, so teachers are looking for ways to optimize it using technology. Methods: The qualitative research method used was observations and unstructured interviews of doublebass class students and qualitative interviews to explore their perceptions. Students engaged in video learning for one semester, where video sessions were used for performance demonstrations and independent practice. Each development was observed in weekly live meetings, and progress videos were collected. Results and Discussion: The results illustrate that using "live video" as a stimulus for students' self-efficacy in understanding counter bass techniques and learning stages had a significant impact. In addition, the quality of the interactive process of practising the instrument independently promoted confidence and understanding of performance details. Conclusion: "live video" supports the emergence of efficacy in the double-bass learning experience. At the same time, it also requires further infrastructure development and training for its optimization. The implications of this study point towards online learning as a means to fulfill the needs of self-directed learning through platforms, while still considering the aspect of student engagement.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk menganalisa bagiamana komodifikasi terjadi pada skena musik underground di Bandar Lampung sebab di era digital saat ini pemasaran karya musik bukan menjadi suatu hambatan seperti pada era 1990-2000-an yang harus dinaungi oleh label besar untuk memasarkan karya-karya kelompok musik. Metode penelitian ini ialah kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi, komodifikasi budaya yang terjadi pada skena musik underground ini dapat ditelusuri dengan analisis interpretasi data dalam paradigma penelitian kualitatif. Orang yang mengalami menginterpretasi dunianya atau pengalamannya. Proses komodifikasi merupakan jalan bagi para kelompok musik tersebut untuk dapat terus menjaga keberlangsungan mereka di ruang skena musik underground, dan dengan didukung oleh perkembangan zaman yang semakin maju semakin membuka celah-celah bagi mereka untuk dapat bersaing dalam ekosistem musik dengan ruang lingkup Nasional maupun lokal meski terkesan terpinggirkan akan tetapi jika dilihat dari gejolak perkembangan skena musik underground yang ada di Bandar Lampung banyak kelompok musik yang terus mendapatkan minat dan perhatian dari masyarakat penikmat skena tersebut.

Abstract

Pembelajaran musik di SD merupakan bagian dari upaya pembentukan kepribadian siswa dalam rangka membentuk menjadi manusia Indonesia seutuhnya. Model pembelajaran yang dikembangkan harus memuat metode-metode yang menyenangkan bagi siswa untuk menghindari kejenuhan dalam pembelajaran musik di kelas. Salah satu upaya tersebut ialah dengan penerapan model pembelajaran dengan memanfaatkan instrumen musik daerah setempat yaitu Gamolan. Selain mengenalkan kearifan lokal kepada siswa, diharapkan juga siswa dapat lebih memahami pembelajaran unsur-unsur musik seperti timbre, nada, melodi, harmoni, dinamika, tempo, melalui permainan Gamolan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data terdiri dari: observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Setelah melakukan dua siklus proses pembelajaran, penelitian ini menghasilkan sebuah model pembelajaran yang dilandasi oleh pendekatan scientific learning, dengan sintaksis observing, discusioning, experimenting, associating, serta communicating. Penelitian ini menghasilkan model pembelajaran musik dengan pemanfaatan instrumen musik gamolan yang dapat digunakan oleh guru SD untuk mengembangkan kemampuan musikal siswa Sekolah Dasar. Sedangkan tujuan model pembelajaran musik melalui pemanfaatan instrumen musik Gamolan untuk dapat dijadikan acuan bagi Dinas pendidikan Kota Bandar Lampung sebagai dasar kebijakan penyusunan Program pembelajaran musik bagi siswa Sekolah Dasar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan metode pembelajaran paduan suara yang diterapkan pada kegiatan ekstrakurikuler Swara Tamariska di BPK Penabur Bandar Lampung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi yang melibatkan pelatih dan anggota paduan suara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran paduan suara dilakukan melalui tiga tahapan, yaitu kegiatan pra dan awal pembelajaran, kegiatan inti, serta kegiatan akhir dan tindak lanjut. kegiatan inti mencakup latihan teknik vokal dan materi lagu, sedangkan pada tahap akhir dilakukan evaluasi serta pengarahan untuk latihan selanjutnya. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelatih menerapkan variasi metode seperti imitasi, demonstrasi, drill, dan belajar kelompok serta menyesuaikan pendekatan dengan kebutuhan peserta didik, Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa proses pembelajaran paduan suara di Swara Tamariska dilaksanakan secara terstruktur dengan metode yang bervariasi, yang disesuaikan dengan karakteristik peserta dan situasi latihan, sehingga mendukung tercapainya tujuan pembelajaran vokal.
