Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Financial Experience, Financial Knowledge, and Financial self-efficacy on Financial Management Behavior of students of the Faculty of Economics and Business UPN "Veteran" East Java using ShopeePay. This study uses a quantitative approach. The population in this study were active undergraduate students of the Faculty of Economics and Business UPN "Veteran" East Java using ShopeePay. The research sample was taken using a purposive sampling technique. The number of samples used was 160 respondents. The data analysis technique used was Partial Least Square (PLS) with SmartPLS 4.0 software. The results of the study showed that Financial Experience had a positive and significant effect on Financial Management Behavior, Financial Knowledge had a positive and significant effect on Financial Management Behavior, and Financial Self Efficacy had a positive and significant effect on Financial Management Behavior in students of the Faculty of Economics and Business UPN "Veteran" East Java using ShopeePay.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology and information has brought special attention to the security of digital banking customer data. Personal data leakage can have a significant negative impact, both for individuals and financial institutions. One of the causes of data leakage is cyber-attacks, such as phishing. Therefore, steps are needed that can be applied to the community as a form of self-prevention from these threats. The method that can be applied is through educational socialization activities that provide understanding in the form of material, case studies, and discussions (questions and answers). The purpose of this activity is to increase public awareness about the importance of protecting personal data from data leakage caused by cyber-attacks (phishing). The success of this socialization activity was measured using a questionnaire distributed to 30 participants. The results of the questionnaire showed that before the implementation of this socialization activity, only about 10% of participants had understood and understood the dangers of phishing, while the other 90% of participants only knew the meaning of the word phishing itself. Therefore, this socialization activity received a positive response based on the diagram of the questionnaire results which showed that the quality of the content and delivery of material during the socialization activity received a positive assessment from the community. This socialization activity also brought benefits and positive influences to the community, such as 26.7% of participants gained additional knowledge about the dangers of phishing, 30% of participants could become more aware of the threat of phishing so they could avoid it, and 43.3% of other participants could feel safe and more confident to use digital banking applications (mobile banking). All socialization participants gave positive feedback on the socialization activities

Abstract

The development of digital technology has had a significant impact on the banking industry, especially in transaction patterns and financial management. However, this progress is also accompanied by an increase in cybercrime risks, such as banking fraud and personal data breaches. The low level of digital financial literacy among students makes this group more vulnerable to various modes of banking fraud. This program aims to improve the digital financial literacy of students as an effort to prevent banking fraud and mitigate personal data breaches. The activities were conducted through mini seminars and interactive discussions, providing materials that included education on the use of secure passwords, identification of fraud schemes, and steps to mitigate data breaches. The results show that 76.7% of students have a better understanding of digital financial literacy and the importance of personal data protection. With a better understanding of the risks and preventive measures, students are more prepared to face digital threats when using banking services.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve students' financial literacy in selecting banking products through digital-based education. The target audience is students who require a better understanding of banking products. The methods employed include the preparation of educational materials, promotion via social media, and evaluation using purposive sampling questionnaires. The results indicated an increased understanding of banking products among students, heightened interest in utilizing digital financial services, and greater awareness of the importance of financial literacy. This activity also strengthened the relationship between students and banking institutions by providing easily accessible relevant information. The findings demonstrate the effectiveness of an educational approach in enhancing financial literacy.

Abstract

Literasi Keuangan Digital mengacu pada pengetahuan dan kompetensi yang diperlukan untuk menggunakan produk dan layanan keuangan digital dengan aman guna membuat keputusan keuangan yang bijak. Namun, rendahnya tingkat literasi keuangan digital masih menjadi tantangan dalam mengoptimalkan penggunaan layanan perbankan digital seperti pembukaan rekening online. Banyak masyarakat yang kurang memahami cara kerja sistem perbankan digital akibat keterbatasan pengetahuan keamanan dan manfaatnya. Tujuan dari kegiatan pendampingan ini adalah membantu calon nasabah dalam proses pembukaan rekening online serta memberikan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang manfaat yang ditawarkan oleh layanan perbankan digital. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran akan pentingnya literasi keuangan digital. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini bersifat partisipatif dengan pendekatan praktis dalam bentuk pendampingan yang dilaksanakan melalui tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Jalan Tambak Medokan Ayu I No. 3, Kecamatan Rungkut, Surabaya pada tanggal 16 November 2024 dengan total 30 partisipan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan terhadap literasi keuangan digital, 96,7% partisipan tidak lagi ragu menggunakan layanan perbankan digital dan 73,3% partisipan telah memahami tahap pembukaan rekening Bank XXX secara online.

Abstract

In this era of globalization, the rapid advancement of technology has had a significant impact on human life. Several factors can influence financial behavior, including financial literacy, lifestyle, and self-control. This study aims to examine the influence of financial literacy, lifestyle, and self-control on the financial behavior of Generation Z in the city of Surabaya. The study population consists of Generation Z individuals residing in Surabaya. A quantitative research method was employed, utilizing primary data collected through questionnaires distributed to Generation Z in Surabaya. The sampling method used was probability sampling with a random sampling technique. Slovin’s formula was applied to determine the sample size, resulting in 100 respondents. The data analysis technique used was SEM-PLS (Partial Least Squares). The results show that financial literacy, lifestyle, and self-control significantly influence the financial behavior of Generation Z in Surabaya, with each variable having a P-value less than α = 0.05, indicating statistical significance. Based on the SEM-PLS analysis, it can be concluded that financial literacy plays an essential role for Generation Z as a fundamental need in effective financial planning. A lifestyle that prioritizes needs over mere wants contributes to healthier financial behavior, and self-control has a strong impact on financial behavior, particularly in financial decision-making.

Abstract

The rapid increase in the use of online lending services among Generation Z Surabaya indicates a socio-economic phenomenon that is important to analyze further. This study aims to examine the effect of understanding OJK regulations, locus of control, perceived ease of use, and lifestyle on the decision to use online loans by Generation Z in Surabaya. The approach used is a quantitative approach with data processing methods using a relationship model between variables. A total of 100 respondents were selected through purposive sampling technique and data collection was conducted through an online questionnaire with a certain rating scale. The results showed that understanding of OJK regulations and locus of control did not play a role in decision making to use online loans. In contrast, perceived ease of use and lifestyle influence the decision. The findings provide important insights for policy makers, fintech service providers, and the general public in encouraging wiser and more responsible use of online loans.

Abstract

Perkembangan di bidang teknologi digital telah menggerakkan sektor perhotelan untuk melakukan perubahan pada strategi pemasaran mereka, termasuk Hotel Gunawangsa MERR yang berada di Surabaya. Dalam  menghadapi persaingan yang semakin ketat dan keperluan promosi yang lebih efektif, hotel ini telah mengimplementasikan strategi pemasaran digital dengan memanfaatkan Cure Media sebagai sarana penyampaian informasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi mengenai seberapa efektif pemasaran yang dilakukan dengan penggunaan Cure Media jika dibandingkan dengan pemasaran konvensional, dengan menerapkan analisis SWOT dan perbandingan strategi berdasarkan elemen bauran pemasaran 4P (Product, Price, Place, Promotion). Hotel Gunawangsa MERR Surabaya menerapkan pemasaran digital dengan menggunakan Cure Media sebagai alat broadcast untuk meningkatkan efektivitas promosi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan efektivitas pemasaran digital dengan pemasaran konvensional melalui analisis SWOT dan pendekatan bauran pemasaran 4P (Product, Price, Place, Promotion). Metode yang digunakan adalah mixed methods dengan data diperoleh dari observasi, wawancara, dan dokumen internal hotel selama periode akhir 2022 hingga kuartal ketiga 2023. Hasil menunjukkan pemasaran digital lebih efisien dan efektif, dengan peningkatan pemesanan dari 890 menjadi 1.065 kamar, penghematan biaya promosi sebesar 32%, serta peningkatan engagement pelanggan dua kali lipat. Analisis SWOT memperkuat temuan bahwa strategi digital memiliki kekuatan dalam hal biaya, jangkauan, dan segmentasi, meskipun tetap menghadapi tantangan dari sisi keamanan data dan intensitas persaingan. Strategi bauran pemasaran 4P juga menunjukkan keunggulan pemasaran digital dalam fleksibilitas harga, distribusi cepat, dan promosi personal.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of a cashless society, social environment, and cognitive dissonance on the consumptive behavior of Generation Z in Surabaya, with self-control as a moderating variable. A quantitative method is employed in this study, involving 100 respondents as the sample. The analytical method applied is PLS-SEM, facilitated by the SmartPLS 4.0 software. The findings indicate that the cashless society, social environment, and cognitive dissonance have an impact on consumptive behavior. Self-control is found to moderate the relationship between the cashless society and cognitive dissonance with the consumptive behavior of Generation Z in Surabaya. However, self control cannot moderate the influence of the social environment on the consumptive behavior of generation Z in Surabaya. These results show that cognitive dissonance experienced by a person can strengthen consumptive behavior as a form of coping mechanism to reduce perceived discomfort. In addition, the results also reveal that the social environment is a dominant factor in encouraging the consumptive behavior of generation Z in Surabaya, even individuals with self control.

Abstract

Company worth is extremely essential since it demonstrates the business's overall accomplishment. The concept of signaling describes how firms feel compelled for communicate monetary report statistics regarding outside stakeholders to avoid information asymmetry. That investigation's audience consists of 49 firms included in the IDX30 index from 2020 to 2023. The sample for this research consisted of 16 issuers who had been selected using a purposive sampling technique, then multiplied by 4 according to the research period so that there were 64 samples. The moderated regression analysis (MRA) method is utilized to examine information using tools such as the SPSS application. The analysis results prove profitability has a destructive contribution to company value, liquidity has little impact on firm value, and solvency has a contribution to company value. Apart from that, dividend policy can limit the impact of profitability on company value; however, this can't reduce its effect of liquidity and solvency on the worth of the company.
