Abstract

Solar water heater is a device that heats water using solar collectors as heat sink of radiation heat, which is forwarded to the pipe containing the fluid heat exchanger (heat exchanger). In this study, conducted comparative testing of solar water heating performance between the performance of the water heater that uses liquid water heat exchanger, airgaram 3.5%, and palm oil. Data collection was performed by taking the data every 30 minutes for 3 hours is at 9:00 to 12:00 pm and the test done 3 times on different days with variations in the type of fluid heat exchanger. From the study data taken include temperature liquid heat exchanger in and out the collector, and the water temperature in the tank, which is then carried out data processing to determine the mass flow rate, density of the fluid, temperature differences in the liquid heat exchanger incoming and outgoing collector (AT) , the performance of solar water heaters (q), and processing the data graphically. The results of the research of some kind of liquid water heat exchanger, brine 3.5%, and palm oil showed that liquid palm oil heat exchanger with a heat capacity of 1,866 kJ / kg. K and a boiling point of 175 0C is the greatest performance, the performance of the lowest value owned by the water. This is due to the value of palm oil heat capacity smaller than a heat capacity of water and greater than the capacity of brine 3.5%, but it is also influenced by the boiling point of palm oil is the highest of any other heat exchanger fluid. Key Words: Heat exchanger, heat capacity, performance, collector, boiling point.

Abstract

The acceleration of economic growth in the region is supported by the potential of sectoral support the local economy in which one sector is tourism. The development of tourism has an important role for the development of an area, and evenly expand  and employment opportunities, encouraging the development of local, regional and national income increase in order to improve the welfare and prosperity of the community. Stone City is one city where the tourism destination which is Tourism Songgoriti. The potential is very supportive in the growth of the real economy both in terms of products and services. Structuring economic support infrastructure around the holidays can be a priority so that regional economic growth is expected to not only provide opportunities for people with middle and upper economic level but more in favor of increasing the value of the benefit to the surrounding community. Abstract

Panel composite materials using filler coffee waste particles with various particle sizes have been analyzed for effect. The matrix used is 2504APT eterset polyester resin, and the method used in making composites is the vacuum method. Particle size variations used are using mesh sizes 30, 40, 50, 60, and 70. Mechanical strengths such as tensile strength and bending strength are compared and evaluated. Interface analysis was also carried out by using a micro-test to determine the microstructure of the test specimens. The tensile strength obtained by the most significant value on the 50 mesh is 24.89 MPa, while the highest bending strength value is in the 60 mesh of 50.9 MPa. The addition of coffee waste particles with various sizes influences the mechanical properties of the coffee waste composite panel. Abstract

Heat transfer is a science to determine heat transfer occurs in certain conditions due to temperature differences. The thermal conductivity is the nature of the form termofisik transport properties for heat transfer. Thermal conductivity value indicates how quickly heat mangalir in that particular material and understand the phenomena that occur in the conduction heat transfer. In this study focused on the value of the thermal conductivity of composite particles robusta coffee with a variety of mesh sizes 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100. The method of making composite using hand lay up. Variables used include variations in particle size coffee mesh 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100. The tests performed by the method of thermal conductivity in the composite particles of coffee. Data collection was performed by the method of observation for 60 minutes. From the research results minimum composite thermal conductivity values on the particle size of coffee that passes sieve mesh 20 that is equal to 0.006 W / mᵒC, composite thermal conductivity values optimum particle size of the coffee that passes sieve mesh 60 that is equal to 0.013 W / mᵒC. While the value of thermal conductivity composites in the coffee particle size that passes a sieve mesh of 100 decrease in the amount of 0.008 W / mᵒC. From the data analysis, it can be concluded that the smaller the particle size of the coffee, the thermal conductivity decreases indicating increased ability to inhibit heat conduction.

Abstract

Automatic Audio Frequency Foliar Fertilization is a technology that improves between the nutrients performed on plant leaves by giving the sensation of sound waves in plants. Automatic Audio Frequency Foliar Fertilization is technology device leaf fertilizer integrated with Sound waves which will run automatically, more practical and compatible. This technology device consists of two main devices of active speakers that will issue a sound with a certain frequency and sprayer fertilizer. The results of the tests that have been done to produce the sound frequency between 1200 Hz up to 1600 Hz with average noise of 5%, with the debit of nutrient spraying for the plant of 96 ml per 30 seconds. Giving exposure treatment Wave The sound of classical music with the provision of nutrients in mustard plants by Automatic Audio Frequency Foliar Fertilization gives a real effect on the growth of the average height of the plant is 2.14 cm per 2 days. Abstract

Bagasse fiber (BF) can be utilized as a reinforcement on composites especially because it is environmentally friendly and comes from renewable resource. In this case, composites use chooped type fibers and manufacturing processes with hand layup method. The volume fraction of unsaturated polyester (UP) as a matrix fixed at 60%, and the fraction of BF and SCG filler varied by 0:40, 10:30, 20:20, 30:10, 40:0. In the application of composite panels, mechanical properties become the main focus in mixing beside to obtaining other characteristics. Addition of spent ground coffee particles (SCG) which decreases the tensile and flexural properties of composites, can be recovered by adding bagasse fiber. The best fraction composition occurred at 10:30 (10BF30SCG60UP), which increased the tensile strength composite (40SCG60UP) by 35.88% and the bending by 14.97%. Eventually, with the cheap, simple method and utilization of industrial waste show the successful experiment to produce stronger and more useful material. Abstract

Komposit ampas kopi dengan berpenguat serat E-Glass Chopped Strand Mat (CSM) merupakan material baru yang menarik untuk diteliti. Keunggulan menggunakan ampas kopi (SCG) ini adalah harga yang murah, ramah lingkungan, dan mempunyai karakteristik dapat menetralkan bau yang tidak sedap. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui karakteristik kekuatan tarik komposit berpenguat serat E-Glass dan menggunakan partikel ampas kopi (filler). Dalam penelitian ini terdapat 5 varian lapisan lamina, kemudian dengan menggunakan partikel ampas kopi dan tanpa partikel ampas kopi, variasi 1 lamina serat E-glass tanpa SCG dan 1 lamina serat E-glass menggunakan SCG sampai 4 lapisan serat E-Glass. Pembuatan spesimen komposit menggunakan metode vacuum molding dengan tebal spesimen mengikuti ketebalan serat E-Glass. Pengujian kekuatan tarik menggunakan standart ASTM D 3039. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian kekuatan tarik terbesar pada 1 layer serat E-Glass tanpa ampas kopi dengan nilai 118,92 MPa. Sedangkan kekuatan tarik terendah pada 4 layer serat E-Glass tanpa ampas kopi dengan nilai 62,26 MPa, sedangkan kekuatan tarik terbesar menggunakan ampas kopi pada 1 layer serat E-Glass didapatkan nilai 94,1 MPa, sedangkan yang terkecil pada variasi 0 layer E-glass dengan ampas kopi 7 MPa. Dari hasil analisis yang telah dilakukan bahwa ampas kopi dapat menurunkan kekuatan Tarik, karena sifat dari ampas kopi sendiri yang mudah beraglomorasi mengakibatkan pembasahan yang kurang sempurna terhadap partikel ampas kopi. Abstract

N219 aircraft as a plane that is still in the test flight period needs to be evaluated and refined in various fields, one of them is performance. Performance examines the achievements of flying like the maximum range that plane can take using the available fuel capacity. To determine the effect of atmospheric condition on the performance of flying then in this study given the variation of atmospheric temperature that is on the condition ISA 0, ISA+10, ISA+20, and ISA+30. Cruise is the focus of the study because this flight phase is the dominant in terms of distance, time, and fuel consumption. The method used is specific fuel consumption method. This method is used to determine the speed that can generate the maximum range. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of atmospheric temperature changes on the maximum range of N219 aircraft in the cruising phase. The results show that maximum range of aircraft increases with increasing temperature to the condition of ISA 0. Maximum range at ISA 0 is 1.946,48 km and continous to increase until 2.224,36 km at ISA+30. This is due to the decrease in air density by increasing atmospheric temperature to ISA 0, causing the increase in the specific air range, thus increasing the maximum range of aircraft. Abstract

Pesawat N219 sebagai pesawat yang masih dalam masa uji terbang perlu dilakukan evaluasi dan penyempurnaan di berbagai bidang, salah satunya adalah bidang performance. Bidang ini mengkaji prestasi terbang seperti range maksimum yang dapat ditempuh pesawat dengan menggunakan kapasitas bahan bakar yang tersedia. Untuk mengetahui pengaruh kondisi atmosfer terhadap prestasi terbang maka pada penelitian ini diberikan variasi temperatur atmosfer yaitu pada kondisi ISA 0, ISA+10, ISA+20, dan ISA+30. Fase terbang jelajah (cruise) merupakan fokus kajian dalam penelitian ini karena fase tersebut adalah fase dominan baik dalam hal jarak, waktu, maupun konsumsi bahan bakar. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode specific fuel consumption. Metode ini digunakan untuk menentukan kecepatan yang dapat menghasilkan range maksimum. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari perubahan temperatur atmosfer terhadap range maksimum pesawat N219 pada fase terbang jelajah. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa semakin besar peningkatan temperatur terhadap kondisi ISA 0 maka range maksimum yang dapat dicapai oleh pesawat juga semakin meningkat. Pada kondisi ISA 0 range maksimum yaitu 1 946,48 km dan terus mengalami peningkatan hingga ISA+30 yaitu sebesar 2 224,36 km. Hal ini terjadi karena dengan meningkatnya temperatur maka massa jenis udara semakin menurun, menyebabkan specific air range meningkat, sehingga range maksimum pesawat juga meningkat.

Abstract

Pada saat ini dunia sedang mengalami ’krisis energi’ dan khususnya Indonesia mengalami krisis energi listrik secara nasional. Listrik merupakan salah satu kebutuhan hidup manusia yang primer, sehingga diperlukan suatu instalasi pembangkit tenaga listrik yang efisien.Salah satu sumber energi alternatif tersebut adalah pembangkit listrik tenaga mikrohidro PLTMH. Pada pengabdian ini difokus untuk memberdayakan masyarakat desa Jambewangi yang mengalami krisi energi karena daerah tersebut belum terjangkau PLN, sehingga dengan adanya kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini akan dihadirkan teknologi pembangkit listrik bersumber potensi energi yang ada. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah menciptakan desa yang mandiri energi dengan cara pembuatan pembangkit listrik tenaga mikro hidro PLTMH berkapasitas 4500 W dan bersumber dari generator listrik yang digerakkan oleh turbin air. Hasil dari kegiatan ini penyelesaian krisis energi yang dialami masyarakat desa pelosok pertanian dengan menhadirkan sentuhan teknologi PLTMH yang dapat bekerja secara optimal berdasarkan potensi alam yang ada. Perbaikan saluran air menuju bak penampungan dan naik-turunnya tegangan yang sering merusak komponen kelistrikan menjadi masalah utama mitra. Untuk itu perlu dilakukan perbaikan saluran dan pembuatan mesin penstabil tegangan sehingga masalah utama mitra segera teratasi dengan baik. Dengan ketinggian air jatuh 3 m dan pemakaian turbin air dengan jumlah sudu 4 buah telah menghasilkan listrik 3000 W, sehingga pembangkit listrik tenaga mikro hidro PLTMH ini dapat bekerja secara maksimal.
