Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study want to know bibliocrime action policies in the UPT Perpustakaan Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, documentation, and literature. The informants from this study were the heads of services and librarians, totaling three people. This research was conducted during February-March 2019.The results of this study shows that the strategy applied still has several weaknesses including not providing unoptimal user education, lack of awareness from users of bibliocrime actions and some technical problems related to security systems such as Close Circuit Television (CCTV) that have not monitored all corners of the library room and chips unreadable on the security gate in the circulation service. Based on the above constraints, the researchers provided solutions for libraries by making bibliocrime action warning posters and preparing training material for librarians. Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to know the constraints faced by library users while searching for information on OPAC and to know the effect of Variable X to Variable Y on effectiveness of Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) in tracing information at Integrated Library of Health Polytechnic Denpasar. The type of this research is quantitative descriptive. The total population is 565 people and the number of samples of 85 people calculated with Slovin formula. The determination of samples from this research is using the technique of nonprobability sampling with the purposive sampling approach. This research is further more using the data collection technique in the form of a questionnaire. This research use multiple linear regression for the data analysis techniques. The conclusion of this research is that usage of the OPAC has been effective and give an effect to user satisfaction in Integrated Library of Health Polytechnic Denpasar. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the circulation service for children with special needs in SLB Negeri 2 Denpasar. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The variable of this research is the circulation service for children with special needs. Data collection was performed by distributing questionnaires, observations and literature studies. Data collection techniques with documentation interviews and observations in the field population in this study is all librarians in SLB Negeri 2 Denpasar.In the discussion of this thesis the author will discuss about the circulation services for children with special needs. The research of this circulation service is made available to the Law of article 32 concerning education and special service paragraph (1) special education is education for learners who have difficulty level in following learning process because of physical, emotional, mental, social and or have potential of intelligence and potential .Circulation service in library SLB Negeri 2 Denpasar is one of the activities related to library user service. Circulation services include the front office of a library that shows the good and bad of a library service system.Based on the results of research and observation of the author of the system used by the library is the system open access. The result of data collecting by interviewing documentation and observation done by writer shows that almost half of respondents stated that SLB Negeri 2 Denpasar library has provided a collection for students with special needs that are suitable for children with special needs (Tuna Laras) in SLB Negeri 2 Denpasar , In addition, found the fact that the collection of SLB Negeri 2 Denpasar library more dominant to provide a collection for students with special need. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the scope of automation system applied in Warmadewa University Central Library and the influence of the implementation of library automation system to the performance of librarian. This research use descriptive qualitative research technique. The subjects of this study are all librarians at Warmadewa University Central Library, with the number of population are 7 librarians and the number of samples corresponding to the total population of librarians at Warmadewa University Central Library. Data collection techniques used were interviews, direct observation and questionnaires. Data collection techniques used were interviews, direct observation and questionnaires. The results of this study show that the library automation system has good system quality and easy to use. The library automation system is capable of improving the performance of librarians, especially in terms of service to librarian users and library collection processing. Abstract

ABSTRACT In this study, the type of study is a descriptive using a qualitative approach. In conducting the study, there are two sources of data as a source of information that is the source of primary data and secondary data sources. Primary sources are sources of data obtained directly through interviews of the authors of the sources. Sources of primary data in this study were all Indonesian Hindu University Library staff. Secondary data sources are a source of data obtained from the data that is used as an ingredient in the study. Secondary data sources in this study are: (1) Archive (handbook library) (2) Documents (3) Logbook (4) And others. The population of this study is the head and employees of Indonesian Hindu University library. While the sample is three members of the Indonesian Hindu University library is located at Jalan Sangalangit, Tembau, Penatih, Denpasar, Bali. Technique of Collective Data is interview, observation, documentation. In this qualitative descriptive study is used serving technique informally.  Based on the analysis, we concluded the following results: Interest in reading Indonesian Hindu University students has increased with the efforts undertaken by librarians by providing collections of books appropriate departments, newspapers, and other collections. As a means of supporting education Indonesian Hindu University library already has a collection of fairly numerous and varied. Facilities and infrastructures as supporting the quality of the library and one that affects an increase in student interest in reading a facility Wi-Fi for internet access, computers and a reading area for students is good. Abstract

ABSTRACT A library is a room or a building used to store collections such as books and other publications. A good library is a library that can fill fill the various needs of informatioon user. Thepurpose of this studyy is to determinee the needs of informatioon user, search behavior information user, and constraints faced by user in seeking informatioon in the State Polytechnic Library of Bali. Method research in this quantitative descriptivee method. The theory used research in this Ellis's theory. The samplingg technique research in this simple random sampling with total sample as much 96 people. Data were obtained by distributing questionnaires. The results showed that information seeking behavior in The Bali Polytechnic State Library is mostly done through the internet. In addition, the satisfaction of users in The Bali State Polytechnic Library shows good results. Keywords: Information needs, information seeking behavior

Abstract

This research method is descriptive qualitative research. Technique of collecting data is doing observation at library, do interview to library officer, and documentation. Informants from this research are officers in the library at SMA N 1 Kuta. This research was conducted on June 2, 2017. Data analysis was done by grouping the results of interviews conducted by the authors with the librarians who test data using technology acceptance model or TAM (Technology Acceptance Model). The results of this study indicate that the application of INLIS Lite in the library of Saraswati Widhyotama SMA Negeri 1 Kuta is very helpful for librarians in the management of home subsystem libraries start reporting data of the procurement department and service section, and inputting books to the system. The library automation system application can simplify and simplify the work of library staff, overcoming the time limitations so that librarians can provide better services to library users. Although INLIS Lite application has a deficiency that is still error capacity and network that does not support, but it can be overcome by using Local Area. Keywords: INLIS Lite, automation, and TAM

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the management of deposit collections in the Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Provinsi Bali, Which is held from April to May of 2017. Collection management must be done in the library to facilitate the retrieval of collections in need. This research is descriptive with qualitative approach. Informants in this research are staff and Section Head of Deposit, Section Head of Library Collection and Material Processing Development at Bali Archive and Library Service Office. The process of collecting data is done by interview and observation method. Based on the results of research conducted by the author, it appears that the collection of deposit management in the Office of Archives and Library of Bali Province has done the best effort. The collection collection process starts from the collection planning done by hunting. This hunting activity is done by referring to Law Number 4 of 1990 concerning the transfer of printed and recording works. But even though already guided by the law still there are still publishers who have not meyerahkan results of his work to the Office of Archives and Library of Bali Province. Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to know the digital transformation activities conducted in the National Library of Indonesia as a process of preservation for manuscripts in the National Library. The method of the research is descriptive qualitative. Informants of this research are head of division digital transformation, and librarian at National Library of the Republic of Indonesia, user on manusripts room. The result of this research the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia has a standard in performing digital transformation activities for the ancient manuscripts they have. National Library of the Republic of Indonesia performs several stages of selection before performing digital transformation activities. Utilization of digital collection of manuscripts in the National Library has not been maximized. Librarians in the field of digital transformation always back up data to keep digital collections preserved. Keywords: digital transformation, manuscripts, preservation.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is a descriptive quantitative research that aims to determine the impact of service of user satisfaction at warmadewa university library. The independent variable in this research is library service and dependent variable is user satisfaction. The subject of this research is the user of Warmadewa university library. The study was conducted in May 2017. The population of this research were all users of Warmadewa library in May which totally to 706 users while the total of samples with error rate of 10% is 88 users. The techniques of collecting data were questionnaires distribution, literature study, and observation. The sampling technique used was Proportionate Random Sampling. The data which have been processed presented in table form. Measurement of variables used is Likert scale. Interpretation of data was done based on the large percentage of answers from respondents. To determine the effect of service to the library users satisfaction is used simple linear regression analysis, and using software program SPSS version 24. To test the hypothesis was done by T-test. The results of this research indicates that the quality of library service affect the user satisfaction, the better services which provided by librarian so the user's user satisfaction increases. The dimensions the well performance dimension of employees get the best score of the overall dimensions made on the questionnaire while user of the dimension know the new collection get the lowest score so this research suggestions to provide a new collection stack so the user knows the existence of the collection.
