Abstract

The Qur'an is a holy book that was revealed directly by Allah to humans through His messenger, the Prophet Muhammad. Understanding the Qur'an which was directly revealed by the Creator makes humans also demand an understanding of how the position of humans with God is, it doesn't stop there, this will continue with widespread understanding and thinking about the concepts of life that humans want to understand completely. So that it is necessary to understand both the position of humans and God in order to find a good and correct understanding of what God means in the Qur'an as a provision for humans to complete their duties in the world, then try to discuss the Basic Structure of Weltanschauung Al-Quran and the Ontology Between God and Humans. The Quran explains that there is a relationship between man and God. The relationship between God and man can be in the form of ontological relations, communication relations, master and servant and ethical relations which in some of these relationships need to be related to one another. This perfect relationship then makes a certain group, the group is called the Muslim community. The Qur'an explains that the position of the Qur'an is to mediate between this world and the hereafter, where the Qur'an acts as a liaison or something that represents the transition between the two (world and the hereafter).

Abstract

The Islamic conquest of Constantinople in the 14th century is a captivating historical episode in history that continues to intrigue historians. It stands out due to the involvement of two major world religions - Islam and Christianity. Furthermore, this conquest marked the end of the Roman civilization. One notable aspect of this conquest was the harmonious relationship between Muslims and Christians, which persisted before and after the event. This study aims to explore the implementation of religious moderation in Constantinople to resolve political conflicts. Adopting a historical methodology, the research collects data through extensive documentation and literature studies, employing a socio-political approach. The findings highlight that religious moderation played a crucial role in conflict resolution during the 14th century in Constantinople. The concept of religious moderation was not only applied before the conquest, but also after it. Before the conquest, the value of moderation was demonstrated through peaceful negotiations between the Islamic kingdom and the Catholic prelate in Rome. Several treaties were agreed upon, emphasizing the importance of faith and peaceful dialogue over resorting to military confrontation. Following the conquest, Sultan Muhammad al-Fatih exemplified religious moderation by engaging in negotiations with the inhabitants of Hagia Sophia. They agreed an agreement allowing Christians to continue practicing their faith despite being under Islamic rule. Additionally, al-Fatih displayed respectful treatment towards the prelate and Christian warlords, further exemplifying the value of moderation. The findings of this study shed light on the significance of religious moderation in resolving conflicts and offer a fascinating insight into the history of Constantinople during this period

Abstract

The high rate of child marriage in Indonesia following the marriage dispensation procedure demands an application to help judges decide the proposals accurately and effectively. This 4D development model research aims to create a standard reference in making decisions regarding the dispensation of marriage proposals using an application. The first stage is defining variables used at the application as measurement, the second stage is designing, namely the process of preparing a conceptual framework in the form of technological innovation, the third stage is developing technological innovation and the fourth stage is disseminating, namely the use of an application. At the defining stage, the variables to measure the level of urgency in granting the marriage dispensation include Social, Partnership Role, Financial, Spiritual, and Reproductive or Sexual Readiness. At the designing stage, the Dispen-Ku application is created using Kodular, a website that provides tools for creating Android applications using block programming. In the disseminating stage, the Dispen-ku application which has been uploaded to the Playstore page is distributed to research subjects, namely two judges in Religious Courts.

Abstract

Abstract

Radicalism and extremism originated from an exclusive religious way and fanaticism in madhab. Pesantren/boarding school as the oldest educational institution in Indonesia has not escaped from various stigmatizations because it is considered a nursery for immoderate religious understanding. Al-Iman Islamic Boarding School located in Ponorogo, East Java, actively internalizes the value of religious moderation as one of the efforts to eliminate the stigma. One of them is carried out with Fathul Kutub program which must be followed by all students of 6th grade KMI (at the same level as 3rd grade aliyah). By using this type of field research and data mining through interviews, two conclusions were obtained. First, in Fathul Kutub program, students are accustomed to study contemporary cases that are contextualized using various book references, both classical and contemporary. So that students are accustomed to dealing with differences of opinion caused by differences in references and emphasizing that there is no single truth in madhhab. Second, the stages of study analysis in the Fathul Kutub program consist of; seminar on interpretation methodology; problem analysis; presentation of analysis results. The program is clear evidence of the contribution of al-Iman Islamic boarding school in dispelling radical understanding with a moderate Islamic approach. The impact of the program, until now there is not a single alumni of the al-Iman Ponorogo Islamic Boarding School affiliated with radical transnational organizations.

Abstract

The evolving understanding of fatherhood has drawn increasing scholarly attention to paternal involvement as a key dimension of child development. In Indonesia, cultural expectations and economic pressures often restrict fathers’ direct participation in daily childcare, raising questions about how they negotiate their presence and involvement under such conditions. This study explores the nature of father involvement in the Madiun Residency, addressing the gap in understanding how limited physical time may be balanced by the quality of interaction. Using a mixed-methods design, quantitative data on the amount of daily father–child interaction were combined with qualitative interviews exploring fathers’ perceptions, emotional engagement, and caregiving styles. The analysis examined how time and quality relate to children’s developmental outcomes. The findings indicate that while physical interaction time is relatively limited, quality engagement plays a crucial role in supporting emotional and social development, whereas physical development correlates more directly with time spent together. Three typologies of fathering have been identified: permissive, democratic, and democratic–permissive. Each typology represents a distinct approach to paternal involvement and responsiveness, particularly within the constraints of time. The study concludes that effective paternal involvement in contemporary Indonesian families extends beyond the dimension of duration and is better understood through the quality, emotional resonance, and intentionality of fathers’ interactions with their children. These insights have practical implications for family education and policy initiatives aimed at strengthening meaningful father–child relationships.

Abstract

The policing of protests in Indonesia and Nepal, revealing systemic patterns of excessive force, arbitrary detention, and the criminalization of political expression. In Indonesia, the August 25–29, 2025 protests involved structured abuse of authority, including physical persecution, deprivation of liberty without adherence to Criminal Procedure Code protocols, and obstruction of legal counsel. In Nepal, 2025 protests saw the use of live ammunition, torture, and other severe measures violating the right to freedom of assembly under the 2015 Constitution. Both cases highlight legal deficiencies: Indonesia relies on general penal provisions without specialized instruments for state violations, while Nepal, despite criminalizing torture under Section 167 of the National Penal Code 2017, struggles with politically influenced implementation. Acts of violence and procedural abuse meet the criteria of unlawful acts, abuse of authority, and human rights violations under national and international law, including ICCPR and anti-torture standards. The failure to prosecute security personnel entrenches impunity. Findings indicate that strengthening accountability mechanisms, prosecuting officers when offenses are established, reforming security governance, and instituting independent investigative bodies are essential to protect constitutional rights and prevent recurrent state violence during protests.
