Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the Effect of Resistance Band and Pull Up Training on the Ability of 50 50-meter breaststroke Swimming in Prabumulih City Swimmers. This research method uses an experimental method with a two-group pretest-posttest research design. The sampling technique was taken randomly. Based on the results of this study, show that the t-test value of the resistance band group pretest and posttest is 4.608> 2.16 with a significance of 0.004> 0.05, meaning that there is a significant effect in resistance band training on the ability to swim 50 m breaststroke. The results of the t-test show that the t-test value of the pull-up group pretest and posttest is 7.050> 2.16 with a significance of 0.000> 0.05, meaning that there is a significant effect in pull-up training on the ability to swim 50 m breaststroke. There is a difference based on the average posttest resistance band training of 43.67 while pull-up training is 44.17.

Abstract

The problem in this research is how the student's ability to read fluently in grade IV B SD N 99 Palembang. The purpose of this study was to determine the ability to read fluently in grade IV B SD N 99 Palembang. The research method used is the descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation, and documentation techniques. The data analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research subjects in this study were students of class IVB SD Negeri 99 Palembang with a total of 20 students. The results in this study are the overallability to read fluently students obtained a percentage value of 90% which shows the high ability of students in reading fluently

Abstract

Indonesian language learning in elementary school plays a crucial role in developing students' language skills and critical thinking. However, preliminary observations at SD Negeri 86 Palembang revealed that teaching is still dominated by the lecture method, resulting in low student motivation and learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the discussion method on the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students in Indonesian language subjects. The study employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design of the one group pretest-   posttest type. The sample consisted of 25 fifth-grade students selected using the saturated sampling technique. The research instrument was a multiple-choice test of 10 items given before and after the treatment. Data analysis techniques included normality test, homogeneity test, N-Gain, and paired sample t-test. The results showed a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. The average pretest score was 58.80, which increased to 84.00 in the posttest. Therefore, the discussion method is proven effective in improving student learning outcomes in Indonesian language subjects for fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 86 Palembang.
