Abstract

Serangan sulfat (sulfate attack) termasuk hal yang umum terjadi pada struktur beton, mengingat ion sulfat banyak dijumpai pada tanah, air tanah dan air laut. Peningkatan ketahanan beton melawan sulfat akan berdampak besar pada durabilitas dan umur layan struktur beton. Penambahan supplementary cementitious materials seperti GGBFS (ground granulated blast furnace slag) ke campuran beton telah terbukti memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap durabilitas dan properti mekanis beton. Namun, GGBFS tergolong material yang baru dikembangkan di Indonesia dan potensinya dalam meningkatkan durabilitas beton belum dimanfaatkan secara luas. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, perlu dilakukan investigasi terkait aplikasi GGBFS dan pengaruhnya terhadap durabilitas beton, terutama dalam melawan serangan sulfat. Dalam studi ini, durabilitas beton dengan persentase penggantian GGBFS 30%, 50% dan 70% terhadap total volume binder dievaluasi menggunakan perlakuan siklus basah-kering dalam larutan magnesium sulfat. Tingkat degradasi beton diukur dengan melakukan observasi terhadap perubahan kuat tekan dan massa spesimen akibat serangan sulfat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggantian GGBFS hingga 50% dari total volume binder dapat meningkatkan ketahanan beton terhadap serangan sulfat, ditunjukkan dengan kehilangan massa dan reduksi kekuatan yang lebih rendah dibandingkan spesimen kontrol dengan 100% semen Portland.

Abstract

Sejumlah penelitian teknologi kontruksi terus dikembangkan dengan tujuan dapat menghasilkan teknologi kontruksi yang tepat guna. Salah satunya dengan memanfaatkan serbuk kulit kerang yang dihasilkan oleh 89 unit pengolahan kerang di Desa Campurejo, Gresik. Dari 1 unit pengelolahan kerang mampu memanen ±100 kg setiap minggunya. Dari kegiatan tersebut dapat menghasilkan limbah padat berupa serbuk kulit kerang yang cukup tinggi. Untuk mengurangi dampak lingkungan dan kesehatan yang disebabkan oleh limbah tersebut, maka dilakukan pemanfaatan limbah serbuk kulit kerang sebagai bahan pengganti agregat halus pada campuran beton. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan serbuk kulit kerang sebagai pengganti agregat halus terhadap kuat tekan beton. Variasi penggunaan serbuk yang digunakan sebesar 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, dan 30% dari berat agregat halus dengan FAS 0,6. Hasil pengujian diperoleh nilai kuat tekan beton mengalami kenaikan pada prosentase 10% dan selanjutnya kuat tekan beton menurun seiring dengan pertambahan prosentase penggunaan serbuk kulit kerang. Sedangkan nilai absorbsi beton mengalami kenaikan pada prosentase 30% dari berat agregat halus.

Abstract

Proyek Pembangunan Gedung Inspektorat Provinsi Jawa Timur Tahap II memiliki peran penting dalam pelaksanaan urusan pemerintahan. Maka dari itu, proyek ini diharapkan dapat selesai tepat waktu dan dapat digunakan oleh pemerintah daerah. Untuk mencapai hal tersebut dibutuhkan suatu metode yang dapat mengendalikan suatu proyek yang sedang berlangsung. Metode Earned Value adalah salah satu metode yang dapat digunakan untuk mengendalikan suatu proyek. Penerapan Metode Earned Value ini dapat mengintegrasikan aspek biaya, waktu dan prestasi kerja. Kinerja proyek dianalisa berdasarkan indeks kinerja biaya dan waktu. Perhitungan berdasakan pada nilai rencana (BCWS), nilai hasil (BCWP), dan biaya aktual (ACWP). Pengendalian ditinjau selama 18 minggu, yaitu minggu ke-1 sampai minggu ke-18. Setelah dilakukan analisa menggunakan Metode Earned Value, hasil yang didapat pada minggu ke-18 menunjukan bahwa biaya yang dikeluarkan lebih besar dari biaya yang direncanakan dan waktu pelaksanaannya lebih lama dari rencana dengan nilai CPI = 0.910346 (CPI<1) dan SPI = 0.71278826 (SPI<1). Hasil perhitungan perkiraan biaya akhir proyek sebesar Rp 24,749,232,344.50 dengan waktu penyelesaian proyek 227 hari yang berarti lebih lambat dari jadwal yang direncanakan.

Abstract

The Faculty of Computer Science building at Universitas Brawijaya is classified as a category II building because it is located in an earthquake-prone area so it is included in seismic design B. The building’s planning adheres to the regulations of SNI 2847:2019 and SNI 1727:2020. Software is required to efficiently and accurately analyze the forces acting on a structure. Generally, there are two main directions for software: structural design or planning, and research. Both design and research software are used as powerful analytical tools to solve complex problems such as structural behavior. The objective of this research is to analyze the cross-sectional capacity of the Faculty of Computer Science building at Brawijaya University using Abaqus and Staadpro software. The redesign process begins by analyzing the earthquake structure to be applied. Using the equivalent static analysis method, the redesign of this building involved obtaining design results for floor plates with dimensions of 120 mm, roof plates with dimensions of 100 mm, main beams measuring 300 x 600 mm, secondary beams with dimensions of 250x500 mm, and columns with dimensions of 600x600 mm. The analysis results of the cross-sectional capacity meet the criteria for special moment frame systems (SRPMK), specifically the Strong Column Weak Beam concept, are shear resistant, and comply with detailed requirements.

Abstract

Kalisongo Village is located in Malang Regency with a topography consisting of 60% undulating plains and 40% hilly undulating plains, with increasingly steep slopes to the west. The main focus of this community service activity is to improve the quality of settlements by enhancing waste management systems by providing trash bins and cleaning school facilities to support the comfort of kindergarten students. In Kalisongo Village, the condition of the Dharma Wanita Persatuan 1 Kalisongo kindergarten school building is quite concerning due to its location in an alley and the impact of the pandemic on the quality of school facilities. The residential area in Kalisongo Village already has a waste transportation system to the Supit Urang landfill, with waste being collected by designated personnel from each household. Residents place their waste in front of their houses without trash bins, often leading to scattered waste, affecting the cleanliness and aesthetics of the environment. This community service was carried out using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, involving activities to improve and enhance learning facilities for kindergarten students and increase awareness of household waste management through socialization and the placement of trash bins in each household. This aimed to boost residents' enthusiasm for managing waste and maintaining a clean environment. The activity was conducted from September to December 2022 and successfully improved the cleanliness and comfort for Dharma Wanita Persatuan 1 Kalisongo kindergarten students and the residents of Kalisongo Village. This is evidenced by the enthusiasm of the 38 kindergarten students welcoming a cleaner school building and the active participation of residents in waste management introduction and the distribution of 30 trash bins to village residents.

Abstract

Pendidikan yang berkualitas merupakan bagian dari Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan untuk memastikan akses pendidikan yang layak dan inklusif bagi semua orang. Fasilitas belajar yang memadai memiliki peran penting dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang kondusif, yang pada akhirnya berkontribusi pada peningkatan mutu pendidikan. SD Muhammadiyah 5 Malang memiliki bangunan yang layak dengan prasarana pembelajaran yang cukup lengkap, namun prasarana ruang kelas memerlukan peremajaan, terlihat dari dinding kelas yang terlihat kusam dan kusen jendela yang mengalami kerusakan. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas prasarana sekolah sehingga dapat menambah semangat belajar siswa dan mendukung kemajuan pendidikan. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi peningkatan kondisi fisik ruang belajar yang mencakup pengecatan ulang dinding dan penggantian kusen jendela di ruang kelas 5. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peremajaan ruang kelas secara signifikan meningkatkan kenyamanan dan estetika ruang belajar. Dengan kondisi infrastruktur yang lebih baik, diharapkan kualitas pendidikan di SD Muhammadiyah 5 Malang semakin meningkat dan dapat mendorong tercapainya pembangunan berkelanjutan di bidang pendidikan.

Abstract

This study investigates the performance of environmentally friendly concrete by utilizing superplasticizer and hydrated lime as filler materials. The superplasticizer was used to simultaneously reduce the water and cement content in the concrete mix, while hydrated lime was added as a filler to compensate for the reduced paste volume. The evaluation was conducted through compressive strength testing, water absorption, and sorptivity measurements. The results show that the incorporation of superplasticizer significantly improved both workability and compressive strength, despite a 10% reduction in water and cement content. This mixture demonstrated the best performance, indicated by the highest slump and compressive strength values. Conversely, the addition of hydrated lime resulted in a 2.7% decrease in compressive strength compared to the control mix. Water absorption and sorptivity tests revealed that concrete containing hydrated lime had lower total water absorption capacity but exhibited a higher initial rate of water absorption. These findings suggest the need for more diverse testing methods or an expanded set of research variables to obtain a more comprehensive assessment of concrete's resistance to water penetration.

Abstract

Purpose: This community service focuses on the revitalization of a kindergarten landscape in rural areas as an effort to stimulate the public’s interest in early childhood education. The upgraded kindergarten’s landscape is believed to increase students’ motivation and learning interest.Method: The methods employed in the study were based on the descriptive approach to identify the issues in the targeted areas. The data was collected using qualitative means which include interviews and field observations. The data was then analyzed to form the basis for decision-making and to choose the appropriate course of action to address the issues.Practical Applications: The revitalization of the kindergarten landscape plays a major role in the children’s learning experience. These spaces provide convenient outdoor activities and act as learning stimuli for the children to gain knowledge about nature. Furthermore, the appealing landscape could encourage the public to set their children in early childhood education.Conclusion: This community service aims to revitalize the kindergarten landscape to create convenient outdoor spaces and act as a learning aid for the student. This service succeeds in providing an improved landscape for the kindergarten which contributes to the broader student learning experience. The more appealing landscape gave the school a fresh look to entice the public interest in early childhood education.
