Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat upaya Amerika Serikat untuk menjaga keamanan dan kepentingan nasionalnya dalam domain luar angkasa. Amerika Serikat melihat peningkatan kekuatan dalam domain luar angkasa oleh negara-negara lain, terutama Rusia dan Tiongkok, sebagai ancaman atas keamanan dan kepentingan nasionalnya. Untuk menghadapi ancaman tersebut, Amerika Serikat melalui U.S. Space Force melakukan ekspansi militernya ke domain luar angkasa. Penelitian ini menganalisis upaya Amerika Serikat tersebut melalui sudut pandang teori konstruktivisme yang ditulis menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif-deskriptif. Melalui sudut pandang tersebut, penelitian ini menemukan bagaimana pembentukan konstruksi identitas Amerika Serikat yang melakukan ekspansi militer ke domain luar angkasa dengan membentuk U.S. Space Force. Identitas yang terbentuk akan membuat Amerika Serikat memiliki posisi yang kuat di domain luar angkasa sehingga mengurangi ancaman.

Abstract

Tourism has key role in enhancing the image of Croatia. It makes the government of Croatia concerns of Croatia’s tourism sector, beside of tourism enhances Croatia’s image, it also contributes to Croatia’s economy while in the middle of economic crisis. The utilization of television serial Game of Thrones which is a media from popular culture that is utilized by Croatia to enhance their destination branding. The utilization of the television serial Game of Thrones by Croatia capable in increasing the number of visits to areas that is used as shooting locations for Game of Thrones. This research studies the effort of Croatia to strengthen Croatia’s destination branding capitalize on the popularity of Game of Thrones. By using the method of descriptive qualitative, the concept used in this research to analyze is soft power, screen tourism, and destination branding. The result of this research shows that Croatia utilizes Game of Thrones to develop new tourism product which is screen tourism to reach a wider market. In developing screen tourism, Croatia creates new tourism attractions and shares information associated with Game of Thrones via tourism exhibition in other countries, and through various online medias such as official social media, official website, and news articles. Eventually, the effort of Croatia to utilize the television serial Game of Thrones is effective in achieving Croatia’s concern, that is Croatia wants to be known positively in a wider circle.

Abstract

The cooperation between the two countries in the field of education is clear evidence that this collaboration provides excellent opportunities for the people of Timor-Leste to study at a higher level, such as students from Timor-Leste who receive quality undergraduate education and receive input from the Indonesian state or efforts to develop science for the country The purpose of writing this thesis is to describe the process of cooperation between the governments of Timor-Leste and Indonesia in the field of education in the 2011-2021 period. The data collection technique used in this study is similar to bibliographic research, namely collecting data from the literature related to the topic to be discussed and then analyzed. And documents on Timor-Leste's economic capacity to improve the quality of family education, as well as developments and barriers for Timorese students studying in Indonesia, including government and private grants. Cooperation document between Indonesia and Timor-Leste in the field of quality and quality education. Data from magazines, newspapers and internet sites, as well as research reports related to cooperation in the field of education. The results of the analysis show that the collaboration has had a major influence on the country of Timor Leste regarding the quality of education in Timor Leste. Collaboration does not only create peace but also makes the community more prosperous. Rights that have not been fulfilled can be fulfilled, so that people have the same right to education..

Abstract

This research aims to describe Indonesia's public diplomacy strategy through holding the 2022 Moto GP to improve Indonesia's nation brand after the pandemic Covid-19. This research uses descriptive- qualitative methods with primary data sources that obtained from reports and documents from the Indonesian government and secondary data sources from various literatures that related to the research topic. The Covid-19 pandemic has had an impact on the image of Indonesia. Indonesia is considered a country with poor handling of Covid-19, so many countries are limiting visits to Indonesia. Of course this will affect Indonesia's image as a tourism country.Therefore, Indonesia is trying to overcome this problem by taking advantage of the momentum of holding the 2022 Moto GP in Mandalika. Indonesia uses public diplomacy in holding international racing events to enhance Indonesia's image as a tourism country that is comfortable and safe from Covid-19. The results of this study show that the efforts made by the government in holding the Moto GP 2022 have succeeded in increasing Indonesia's nation brand even though it has not been optimal. The researcher uses the public diplomacy concept to explain the efforts made by Indonesia and the nation brand concept to see the effect of public diplomacy on Indonesia's image. Abstract

Abstract This study aims to examine the fans' views on South Korean culture because of the phenomenon of Korean Wave hegemony. The research method used in this study is a qualitative research method with a case study approach. Researchers determine the K-Pop dance cover community in Bali as research sources. This study uses the theory of hegemony proposed by Gramsci and the construction of identity from the perspective of cultural studies by Barker. Based on the results of interviews conducted with informants, it was found a fact that the phenomenon of the hegemony of the Korean Wave, especially K-Pop, had a significant impact on the views and lives of fans. The influence caused by the spread of the Korean Wave has helped to build a positive image and view of fans towards South Korea through their success in popularizing their culture abroad. Abstract

Abstrak Skripsi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui upaya yang dilakukan oleh UNICEF sebagai organisasi internasional dalam mengurangi kasus pernikahan anak yang terjadi di Republik Dominika. Dalam menganalisis upaya tersebut peneliti menggunakan konsep peran dan fungsi organisasi internasional dan konsep gender dalam Sustainable Development Goals. Penelitian ini menemukan dalam upayanya menanggulangi kasus pernikahan anak di Republik Dominika, UNICEF menjalankan perannya sebagai instrumen dengan membantu pemerintah Republik Dominika mengagregasikan dan mengartikulasikan kepentingannya dalam mencapai SDGs. Sebagai instrumen, UNICEF menjalankan fungsinya sebagai tempat memperoleh informasi dengan membantu badan statistik Republik Dominika menyediakan data mengenai kasus pernikahan anak melalui survei MICS-ENHOGAR 2014, CAP-MIUT 2018 dan MICS-ENHOGAR 2019. Sementara sebagai arena UNICEF menjalankan fungsi penerapan kebijakan dengan menyediakan tempat bagi negara-negara di kawasan Amerika Latin dan Karibia dengan program regional terkait pernikahan anak. Dalam menjalankan perannya sebagai aktor, UNICEF menjalankan fungsi sosialisasi dengan kampanye berbasis C4D dan edukasi berbasis hiburan dengan pembuatan film La Peor Novela yang bertemakan pernikahan anak yang terjadi. Sebagai aktor, UNICEF juga menjalankan fungsi norma dengan mendorong pemerintah Republik Dominika mengubah batas minimal untuk menikah pada KUH Perdatanya. Dalam menjalankan peran dan fungsinya tersebut tidak lepas dengan kekuatan otoritas moral yang dimiliki oleh UNICEF untuk memengaruhi Republik Dominika dalam pengambilan kebijakannya dalam menangani kasus pernikahan anak. Abstract

This research discusses advocacy efforts by Women in Tourism Indonesia (WTID) as an implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) number 5, namely gender equality. As an organization that focuses on tourism and gender equality, WTID advocates in related fields to realize its goal of creating gender-inclusive tourism. This research explains the form of advocacy carried out by WTID to realise gender-equitable sustainable development. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods by collecting primary and secondary data. Primary data is in the form of interviews with WTID resource persons and secondary data is in the form of literature related to the topic discussed. Based on the data that has been obtained, it can be concluded that the advocacy programme by WTID is in line with the principles and indicators of SDGs number 5, namely gender equality. The implementation of advocacy carried out by WTID is in the form of research on sexual violence in the tourism industry, inclusive tourism webinars involving tourism actors and disability groups, and hearings related to gender issues in tourism with the government as a policy maker.
