Abstract

Salah satu tanaman pangan sumber karbohidrat alternatif potensial adalah tanaman Garut (Maranta arundinaceaL.) yang mempunyai potensi sangat besar untuk dikembangkan. Makanan yang terbuat dari tepung garut memiliki keistimewaan, yaitu mudah dicernadan memiliki Indek Glikemik yang lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan jenis umbi-umbian lainnya, sehingga sangat baik untuk kesehatan. Tanaman ini umumnya diperbanyak secara vegetatif, sehingga memiliki keragaman genetik yang sempit. Untuk meningkatkan keragaman genetik tanaman garut, telah dilakukan iradiasi sinar gamma di Pusat Radiasi dan Isotop, BATAN, dengan dosis 10 sampai dengan 140 Gy dengan interval 10. Analisis perubahan morfologis dan seleksi dilakukan dengan mengamati perubahan karakteristik sejak tanaman menghasilkan tunas sampai pertumbuhan tanaman maksimal atau tanaman menghasilkan bunga. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui dosis iradiasi dan dosis LD 50 yang optimal dalam memperluas keragaman genetik tanaman garut serta mengetahui perubahan karakter morfologi tanaman setelah diradiasi.Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok dengan tiga ulangan.Analisis data menggunakan MiniTab 16. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa iradiasi sinar gamma dapat mempengaruhi karakter morfologi terhadap daun, jumlah tunas, tinggi tanamandan produksi umbi.

Abstract

Stunting adalah kondisi gagal tumbuh pada anak di bawah lima tahun akibat kekurangan gizi kronis. Kabupaten Bulungan, yang menjadi salah satu dari 160 kabupaten di Indonesia yang terintervensi untuk penurunan stunting, mencatat prevalensi stunting pada 2023 sebesar 22,6%, dengan penurunan 4,07% pada 2024 menjadi 18,53%. Meskipun ada penurunan, pencapaian target nasional sebesar 14% belum tercapai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi cluster tingkat kerawanan stunting di Kabupaten Bulungan dengan menggunakan metode single linkage dan complete linkage. Kedua metode ini termasuk dalam analisis cluster hierarki yang menggabungkan observasi yang serupa menjadi satu cluster, sehingga jumlah cluster berkurang seiring berjalannya proses. Hasil analisis dengan metode single linkage membentuk tiga cluster: Cluster I (kerawanan tinggi) mencakup Long Bia, Cluster II (kerawanan sedang) meliputi Long Bang, Tanjung Palas, Antutan, Long Beluah, Pimping, Tanah Kuning, Bumi Rahayu, Salimbatu, Sekatak Buji, Bunyu, dan Cluster III (kerawanan rendah) hanya Tanjung Selor, dengan rasio simpangan baku 0,15. Hasil metode complete linkage juga membentuk tiga cluster, namun dengan rasio simpangan baku 0,16. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, metode single linkage memiliki kinerja terbaik untuk pengklusteran data stunting di Kabupaten Bulungan.

Abstract

Chili pepper is an important agricultural crop but is highly vulnerable to viral diseases, including Pepper yellow leaf curl Indonesia virus (PepYLCIV). This study investigated the biochemical response of chili plants to PepYLCIV infection by examining changes in antioxidant enzyme activities: peroxidase (POD), catalase (CAT), and ascorbate peroxidase (APX). The effects of sample handling methods on enzyme activity measurements were also evaluated. The experiment was conducted in a biosafety greenhouse using a factorial design with four replications. The treatments included two chili varieties (Bara and Bonita), plant condition (healthy and PepYLCIV-infected), sample types (fresh leaf tissue and frozen leaf tissue stored at −80 °C), and seven sampling times (1, 3, 5, 7, 14, 21, and 28 days post-inoculation). Result showed that POD activity was significantly higher in infected plants than in healthy plants, whereas CAT and APX activities showed no significant differences between plant health conditions. Fresh samples consistently exhibited higher enzyme activity than frozen samples. POD and CAT activities peaked at 28 days post-inoculation, while APX activity was the highest at 5 days post-inoculation and fluctuated over time. These findings highlight the importance of considering infection status, sampling time, and sample processing when evaluating antioxidant enzymes in plant–virus interaction studies.

Abstract

Pati Regency in Central Java has experienced rapid industrial, commercial, and educational growth, attracting workers, students, and job seekers who require temporary accommodation such as boarding houses. Despite this increasing demand, the process of searching and booking boarding houses remains largely manual, relying on word of mouth, roadside banners, or direct visits, which leads to fragmented information, inaccurate room availability data, and inefficient search processes. This study aims to design and evaluate a web-based boarding house rental information system that addresses information asymmetry and fragmented search processes in local rental markets by providing structured property information and an integrated digital booking workflow. The research employs a system development approach consisting of requirements analysis through interviews and field observation, UML-based system modeling, web-based system implementation, and functional evaluation using black-box testing to verify the reliability of core system functions such as property search, availability display, booking submission, and payment confirmation. The resulting platform integrates structured property listings, multi-criteria search filters, interactive digital maps, and an online reservation mechanism that enables prospective tenants to identify, compare, and book boarding houses without physically visiting the property. Testing results indicate that all functional modules operate according to the specified requirements, supporting accurate property information retrieval and a continuous search-to-booking workflow. Beyond system implementation, the study contributes to research on digital property information systems by demonstrating how integrated information architecture and transaction workflows can reduce information fragmentation and improve transparency in temporary housing rental platforms.
