Abstract

The development of science and technology has had a significant impact on the world of education, including the development of teaching materials. One innovation that can be utilized is the electronic module (E-Module) which is more practical and interactive than conventional teaching materials. This study aims to determine the validity of the Discovery Learning-based E-Module on hydrocarbon material for grade XI of senior high school (SMA/MA) and equivalent. The study uses a 4-D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) and is limited to the Develop stage. The instruments used include material and media validation sheets, each of which refers to aspects of content feasibility, Discovery Learning characteristics, language, presentation, appearance, and software utilization. The E-Module was developed using the Heyzine Flipbook platform to create an interesting and non-monotonous learning experience. The research sample used in this study was grade XI IPA in two schools, namely SMAN 1 Bangkinang Kota and SMAN 2 Bangkinang Kota. The results showed that the developed E-Module met the validity criteria with an average material validation score of 96.77% and media validation of 98.38%. Thus, the Discovery Learning-based E-Module on hydrocarbon material is declared very valid and suitable for use in the learning process

Abstract

This study aims to develop an E-LKPD based on the CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending) learning model by utilizing the Liveworksheets web application on the reaction rate material for grade XI of high school. The development was carried out using a 4-D model that includes the stages of defining, designing, and developing. The results of validation by material and media experts showed that the E-LKPD had met the validity criteria with consecutive scores in the aspects of content feasibility of 92.85%, CORE characteristics 87.51%, language 100%, presentation 87.5%, visual appearance and software use each 100%. The research sample used in this study were 10 grade XI students of SMAN 1 Pekanbaru and 10 grade XI students of SMAN 3 Pekanbaru. One-on-one and small group trials showed that students gave positive responses to the appearance, ease of use, and understanding of the E-LKPD content. In addition, teacher responses also showed that the E-LKPD was suitable for use in learning with a total percentage of 86.06%. Thus, the CORE-based E-LKPD using Liveworksheets on the demonstration rate material is declared valid and very feasible according to user assessments and can be used as an alternative digital-based interactive teaching material in the 21st century learning era.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of self-confidence and learning independence on chemistry learning outcomes of class XI students of SMAN 1 Kerinci Kanan. The method used is a correlational quantitative approach. This study uses a correlational quantitative approach with a sample size of 99 students. data collection techniques through questionnaires, value documentation, and interviews. The results of descriptive statistical analysis show that the average self-confidence and learning independence of students are in the moderate to high category and self-confidence has a positive and significant effect on learning outcomes with a significance value of 0.045 and a correlation of 0.890. Learning independence also has a significant effect with a significance value of 0.042 and a correlation of 0.567. Simultaneously, self-confidence and learning independence have an influence of 65.2% on learning outcomes, while the rest is influenced by other factors. The conclusion of this study is that self-confidence and learning independence play an important role in improving chemistry learning outcomes, so both need to be developed in the learning process.
