Abstract

One of the important hard skills to learn in the current Society 5.0 era is the ability to operate computer devices with software and features such as Adobe Photoshop which can facilitate photo editing. Photo editing skills are worth learning by students because they can bring benefits and value. To make it easier for students to understand the material, the team used a training method with the Think Pair Share (TPS) technique combined with pre-test and post-test instruments as a measuring tool to review and assess the development or changes in students' knowledge and understanding before and after dedication is carried out. The final results obtained from the pre-test and post-test show that after the students participated in this activity their knowledge increased regarding graphic design in general and photo editing in particular. Abstract

Umrah, which is a form of worship in Islam, has changed practice and meaning in modern society. Currently, modern society interprets Umrah not only as worship but also as religious tourism and places Umrah as a lifestyle practice. This article discusses the trend of Umrah plus tourism in modern society, with a focus on social media and influencers in framing the perspective of society and encouraging people to perform Umrah. Mass media such as Instagram and TikTok play an important role in promoting Umrah travel, both through advertisements, and testimonials from pilgrims who describe the spirituality of the Umrah journey. In addition, influencers or even artists also play an important role in the Umrah trend in modern society, where their reviews and posts about certain Umrah travel will attract people's interest in doing the same. A qualitative approach is used as a method in analyzing content and public perceptions of Umrah as worship and religious tourism. The results of this study show that the role of social media and influencers is not only limited to promotion but also as agents of change in shaping the perception of modern society regarding the meaning of Umrah

Abstract

Sexual violence is an important issue that must be resolved as quickly and precisely as possible. In general, many cases of sexual violence are experienced by women from various sectors. These victims need help not only to catch the perpetrator and provide counseling, but also need protection in the form of disguised identity. There have been many mental healing efforts provided by various parties to victims of sexual violence, but still few focus on disguising the identities of the victims. In fact, victims also need their identity to be protected as best as possible. This effort has been carried out by one of the religious education institutions in Aceh, namely Dayah Diniyah Darussalam. The Dayah that he leads is used as a safe house for victims of sexual violence and also provides various efforts to restore the mental health of the victims, one of which is by disguising their identity as victims. Departing from this topic, this article examines the communication strategies developed by the Dayah to fight discrimination against victims of sexual violence. This research was studied using a qualitative approach and data was collected by means of in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. This research uses Reflexive Thematic Analysis (RTA) to analyze the found data. The results of the research are that efforts to disguise identity can be used as a communication strategy to protect victims of sexual violence. Abstract

This study examines cultural acculturation in the Rambu Solo’ funeral tradition in Tana Toraja, South Sulawesi, as adapted by Muslim families. This study discusses the challenges of cultural and religious acculturation, considering the potential for polemics when there is no space for dialogue, negotiation, and mutual understanding. To study this research, a qualitative descriptive method was used, and data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this study are that Rambu Solo’ is a sacred and meaningful traditional funeral ceremony usually performed by adherents of the Aluk Todolo religion and Christians. However, over time, this tradition has also begun to be practiced by Muslims, with several adjustments to align with Islamic law, including the elimination of elements that conflict with Islamic teachings, such as the absence of pork, replacing singing with recitation of the Qur'an, the elimination of alcoholic beverages (ballo'), and the elimination of the buffalo fighting ritual (mappasilaga tedong). Islamic rituals carry out the process of slaughtering animals. Initially, the implementation of Rambu Solo’ for Muslims sparked controversy because it was considered inconsistent with Islamic law.
