Abstract

In life cycle construction industry, each phase of the activities must be managed by the law, such as a contract. All participants who join in construction industry, such as owner, architect, civil engineering, suppliers in each phase of life cycle construction do their professional ethics with responsibility.. Contract in construction industry will not only manage all the participants in constructrion, but also will treat the risks of construction.  In contract management, there are key activities that must be done, viz: preparing and making the contract, contract as a guidance of work (TOR), contract as acontrolling, administration of the contract. In this paper it will be analyzed the law aspect and contract management in construction industry systematically in order to keep all the activities in life cyle construction doing well.

Abstract

The fire damage occurs in unpredictable time and can cause losses to the owner because of the damage. Relevant research indicated Fire Safety Design is very important to detect and prevent against fire damage. The four key variables influencing building reliability in preventing fire damage carried out by the consultant and controlled by the construction manager in the projects and their contribution to the model are: detection and fire alarm (active protection) = 43.3 %, building architecture (passive protection) = 21.2 %, the designers fire certificate = 8.4 % and special equipment to stop fire = 5.3 %. In order to allocate the risk, the construction practice use the insurance contract by paying some of cost (premi) according to the risk of fire damage. There are key factors that influence to the law of construction insurance on fire safety on high rise buildings in Indonesia that will be discussed in this paper. The variables than can measure the premi index in construction insurance to guarantee the assets of buildings and lifes from fire damage.

Abstract

Ethics and code of ethics have actually different meanings in construction industry, especially an Architect as a designer in planning process. These words will be discussed and analyzed in this paper which is important for an A rchitect in doing their professional responsibility making the design. There are few aspects that will be discuss in this paper correlating to the ethics and the code ethics of Architect that will be compare to the Law System in Indonesia. By awareness to all the aspects of ethics and code of ethics of professional architect, the construction industry process will be implemented well for the future in Indonesia.
