Abstract

Penelitian mengenai pengaruh nutrisi AB Mix dengan hidroponik sistem sumbu terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman sawi (Brassica juncea L.) telah dilaksanakan di lahan hidroponik 55, Kelurahan Cupak Tangah, Kecamatan Pauh, Kota Padang, Sumatera Barat. Dimulai dari bulan Februari sampai Maret 2022. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui konsentrasi nutrisi AB Mix yang terbaik untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman sawi hijau (Brassica juncea L.) dengan hidroponik sistem sumbu. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 6 kali ulangan, sehingga terdapat 24 unit percobaan. Setiap unit percobaan terdiri dari 4 tanaman, sehingga terdapat 96 tanaman, semua tanaman diamati. Data hasil pengamatan dianalisis secara statistik dengan uji F. Kemudian dilakukan uji lanjut Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian beberapa konsentrasi AB Mix menunjukkan pengaruh yang berbeda nyata terhadap variabel pengamatan tinggi tanaman, panjang daun, berat basah akar, berat basah bagian atas dan berat basah per tanaman. Berbeda sangat nyata terhadap variabel pengamatan lebar daun dan berbeda tidak nyata terhadap variabel pengamatan jumlah daun. Pemberian nutrisi AB Mix 2,4% menunjukkan hasil terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman sawi (Brassica juncea L.).

Abstract

The handling of Covid-19 nationally is a unified action born of a comprehensive strategic policy. This policy should address the current state and anticipate its impact later. The efforts currently undertaken by the Government are: social distancing/physical distancing policy, protection for healthcare workers as the front guard, social restrictions on large-scale, government transparency in the handling of Covid-19 pandemic, the validity of the test result data. For the treatment of this Covid-19 outbreak, law enforcement became one of the steps chosen by the government. The police officers are tasked with dissolving crowds, dealing with a liar or hoax, as well as a hoarders of staple material. In addition the police have also prepared a criminal threat for the violating community, the sanctions are in the information on the number of police in Mak/2/III/2020 regarding compliance with government policy in handling the spread of Corona Virus (Covid-19) and other forms of infringement or crime that may occur during PSBB in Kapolri Telegram mail number ST/1098/IV.

Abstract

Increasing the productivity of potato crops will require the availability of tubers that are of high quality and resistantto disease. Giving isolates rhizobacteria and coumarin is expected to increase the growth and formation of potato tubers.The purpose of this study was to obtain the best types of rhizobacteria and coumarin concentrations in increasing theproductivity of potato plants. The research was conducted in the experimental garden of the Center for Technology Transferand Agricultural Zone Development of Andalas University, Alahan Panjang, Solok Regency, West Sumatra, from October2016 to January 2017. The study used a 2-factor complete randomized design with three replications. The first factor wasrhizobacterial isolates, namely without bacteria, BT.4.1 isolates, BT.4.2 isolates, BT.4.3 isolates. The second factor was theconcentration of coumarin growth inhibitors, namely 0, 50, 100, and 150 mg L-1. The parameters observed were morphologicalcharacterization rhizobacteria, leaf area, relative growth rate, growth rate potato tubers at 1-month-old, fresh weight oftubers aged 100 days after planting, tuber classes, namely: large, medium and small. Observation data were analyzed bythe F test, followed by the HSD test at 5% level. The results showed that BT4.1 and BT.4.2 rhizobacteria with coumarin 100mg L-1 and 150 mg L-1 increased the growth of potato plants, while the results of potato plants were more affected by theapplication of BT.4.1 and BT rhizobacteria.

Abstract

Usaha budidaya ikan lele di KWT Makmur Bersama baru berskala biasa  dan pakan ikan bergantung dengan pakan pabrikan, jika pemberian pakan pabrikan dilakukan secara berkelanjutan dengan harga pakan yang melambung tinggi, sehingga keuntungan pembudidaya sangat minim dan pemasaran produksi yang harus menunggu pelanggan datang untuk membeli ikan lele tersebut menjadi penyebab rendahnya pendapatan di KWT.. Untuk itu tim pengabdian berdasarkan hasil observasi dan identifikasi yang dilakukan dilapangan, maka ditetapkan tema dalam PkM ini adalah Peningkatan Hasil Produksi Budidaya Ikan Lele dengan Teknologi Pengembangan Pakan Probiotik di Kelompok Wanita Tani Makmur Bersama. Program kemitraan masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan metode observasi, indentifikasiF, perencanaan dan pelaksanaan berupa FGD dan pelatihan secara langsung dengan indikator meningkatnya pengetahuan, pehaman dan terampilnya KWT dalam mengaplikasikan inovasi yang diberikan sebesar 80%. Hasil yang diharapkan adalah berupa produk pakan ikan yang memiliki nutrisi yang tinggi.

Abstract

Penelitian pengaruh dosis bokashi (ampas daun gambir + kotoran ayam) terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jagung manis (Zea mays saccharata), dilaksanakan di BSIP Provinsi Sumatera Barat, jalan Khatib Sulaiman, Kota Padang, ± 5 m dpl, Januari - Maret 2024. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mendapatkan dosis bokashi (ampas daun gambir + kotoran ayam) terbaik untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jagung manis. Penelitian megunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 6 perlakuan dan 5 kelompok, sebagai berikut : A = Bokashi (Ampas daun gambir + kotoran ayam) 0 g/tanaman, B = Bokashi (Ampas daun gambir + kotoran ayam) 150 g/tanaman, C = Bokashi (Ampas daun gambir + kotoran ayam) 300 g/tanaman, D = Bokashi (Ampas daun gambir + kotoran ayam) 450 g/tanaman, E = Bokashi (Ampas daun gambir + kotoran ayam) 600 g/tanaman, F = Bokashi (Ampas daun gambir + kotoran ayam) 750 g/tanaman. Perlakuan F = bokashi (ampas daun gambir + kotoran ayam) 750 g/tanaman memberikan hasil yang terbaik untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil jagung manis.

Abstract

Limbah ternak sapi dan padi di Indonesia belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal sebagai bahan baku pembuatan pupuk organik. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah: (1) Merangsang ambisi petani untuk memanfaatkan limbah ternak sapi dan padi menjadi pupuk organik, (2) Meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan petani memanfaatkan limbah ternak sapi dan padi menjadi pupuk organik (3 ) Untuk meningkatkan produktivitas lahan pertanian. Metode yang digunakan adalah: penyuluhan, praktik, pemantauan, penilaian dan tindak lanjut. Dampak pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah: (1) Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat terlaksana dengan baik, mitra aktif mengikuti pelatihan dan berkomitmen untuk terus melakukan kegiatan pembuatan pupuk organik dari limbah ternak sapi dan padi ≥ 80%, (2) Mitra memiliki pengetahuan yang baik tentang aspek-aspek berikut: pengertian, kelebihan, kekurangan,  fungsi pupuk organik, terampil memanfaatkan limbah ternak sapi dan padi  untuk membuat dan menggunakan pupuk organik ≥ 73%, (3) Produktivitas lahan pertanian akan meningkat dan berkelanjutan karena mitra akan menanam tanaman ≥ 85% menggunakan kombinasi pupuk anorganik dan organik dari limbah ternak sapi dan padi.

Abstract

Although climate change is of concern to hydrologists, climatologists, environmentalists, agronomists, it is predicted that it will have serious impacts on water resources, infrastructure, agriculture, biological and ecosystem functions, and human health. Serious problems arise in some areas due to fluctuations in water supply, especially during the rainy and dry seasons. Water balance (water balance) that cannot be accommodated, is calculated by analyzing rainfall, temperature, humidity, sunlight, wind speed and evapotranspiration. Better rice yields, achieved by preventing or overcoming disasters in an area. This research was conducted in May-August 2022, using secondary data, namely: collection of climate data and production data, vulnerability maps in Padang Pariaman Regency, which were then analyzed using the Penman Monteith method. Padang Pariaman Regency in 2021 experienced a water deficit period in February. This is probably caused by the large evapotranspiration in the region. However, the estimated ETP values obtained were quite high, namely an average of 5.22 mm/day and 161.15 mm/month. Based on the results of the analysis of rice farming in Padang Pariaman Regency, the R/C ratio is 2.02> 1. However, the reality on the ground is not like that. So that farmers carry out land conversion on the commodity corn fodder.

Abstract

Gamma ray irradiation is a mutagenesis method used to obtain new genetic variations in plants, including rice. Local varieties were chosen because they have good adaptability to the local environment and can play an important role in increasing agricultural productivity. The local varieties of rice seeds from Padang Pariaman Regency used in the research were "Madang Pulau", "Putiah Papanai" and "Banang Kuniang". The irradiation doses used were 100 Gy, 200 Gy, 300 Gy, 400 Gy, 500 Gy and 600 Gy. Seeds without irradiation were also used as controls. The results showed that the germination response of local varieties of rice seeds to gamma ray irradiation varied depending on the dose given. In terms of germination percentage, the irradiation dose of 100 Gy showed a significant increase compared to the control in the white Papanai variety. However, irradiation doses of 200 Gy and 300 Gy caused a significant reduction in germination percentage compared with the control. Apart from that, observations were also made on other parameters such as seedling height and root length. The results showed that at irradiation doses of 100 Gy, 200 Gy and 300 Gy, there was a significant reduction in these parameters. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the use of gamma rays as an irradiation method can influence the germination response of local varieties of rice seeds in Padang Pariaman Regency differently depending on the dose and the variety used.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the purity of rice, corn, and soybean seeds and the loss factor during the seed purification process. High seed purity is crucial for improving crop yields and agricultural product quality. The purification methods tested include manual sorting, machine cleaning, grading, optical technology, and drying. Analysis was conducted by weighing and separating seeds into pure seeds, other plant seeds, and seed impurities. The results show that rice seeds have the highest purity (95.84%) and the lowest loss factor (4.16%), followed by soybean (94.78% and 5.22%) and corn (94.43% and 5.57%). These findings indicate that modern purification technologies, such as optical technology, can significantly improve seed purity. The study recommends enhancing purification methods for corn to achieve better purity standards and considering the use of modern technology in seed purification processes generally to improve seed quality and crop yields..

Abstract

Corn silk (Zea mays L.), commonly considered agricultural waste, contains bioactive compounds with potential health benefits, including flavonoids, phenols, and tannins. These compounds exhibit antioxidant properties that can help prevent degenerative diseases such as cardiovascular disorders, diabetes mellitus, and cancer. This community service program focuses on utilizing corn silk as a raw material for producing herbal tea with economic value and health benefits. The program employs participatory and collaborative approaches, involving local farmers to develop skills in production, marketing, and product quality assurance. The innovation supports sustainable health practices and contributes to local economic development by transforming agricultural waste into valuable products.
