Abstract

AbstractACFTA affect many economic trade sectors in Indonesia either from the Import, Export as well as the states finances and its policies. The objective of free trade around the world is more on looking at the benefits to both countries that entered into the agreement. The ACFTA will influence competitiveness and comparative advantage among members of ASEAN in the textile, one of the Textile products become an image of Indonesian nation culture, it is call Batik, as it continues to spread worldwide and is recognized as a primary need that should be preserved our country. However, much of the existing literature on ACFTA seeks to provide qualitative estimates of the overall effect of ACFTA on ASEAN and China. In line with this, this research aims to determine the effect of Batik Imports from China that become bigger after the enactment of ACFTA. This study examines the value of Batik Textile Imports from 1998 to 2014. To see the implementation of ACFTA since 2007, the researchers divided the value of imports into two periods: 1998-2006 for before ACFTA and 2007-2014 for after ACFTA. This study uses a difference test method of non-parametric Mann Whitney. The results indicate that the value of batik imports from China after the ACFTA is greater than before ACFTA with significant value of <0.05.Keywords: ACFTA, Import, Batik Textile

Abstract

This study contributes to understanding ecological changes in land use following slash-and-burn land clearing. This study aimed to compare the richness and density of plant species and soil fertility in farmland cultivated for one year (1 Y), three years (3 Y), and five years (5 Y) after slash-and-burn, with the conditions in the secondary forest (SF) in Berau Regency of East Kalimantan. Understory plant taxon types, numbers, and soil organic matter were measured in each region using a series of nested plots. The size of each observation plot was 20 x 100 m. Data on understory vegetation composition was collected using 1 x 1 m mini plots at 20 sampling points and divided into five blocks, with a 10 m spacing between sampling points on each property. Understory vegetation species and cover percentage, litter cover percentage, open soil percentage, and soil fertility were measured for each observation plot. The results showed that the land cover percentage increased each year during the 5 years transition from secondary forest to farmland. Furthermore, within the 5 years, there was a change in understory species, particularly the presence of grasses and sedges at 3 and 5 years after the land use change. However, the transition from secondary forest to farmland within 5 years did not alter soil organic matter and total nitrogen.

Abstract

Background: Preschool children generally fall within the age range of 4 to 6 years old. During this phase, youngsters demonstrate a pronounced inclination towards curiosity, develop a distinctive imagination, and maintain a strong belief in their own abilities. During this period, a notable aspect of psychosocial development is the broadening of the child's social sphere, as they start to desire companions for play and participate in routine activities beyond their home setting. Environment. Children's participation in outdoor activities can increase their vulnerability to diseases because of their inclination towards lethargy, which leads them to view handwashing as a burdensome chore. Hence, it is imperative to integrate the Story Telling Method into handwashing health education in order to foster children's comprehension that handwashing may be a pleasurable activity. Purpose: To determine the effect of health counseling on handwashing technique in early childhood settings. Method: A quantitative quasi-experimental, the random sample technique to choose a group of 32 pre-school children, ranging in age from 4 to 6 years, from Bengkulu City. Univariate statistical tests, specifically a paired t-test to evaluate the impact and an independent t-test to evaluate the efficacy. Results: That the utilization of narrative-based handwashing health education is efficacious in preschool and early childhood environments. Interval of confidence at a 95% level. The handwashing ability before therapy was measured to be 1.00 with a standard deviation of 0.000, while after treatment it increased to 2.30 with a standard deviation of 0.520. The p-value of 0.000 indicates a statistically significant difference in the ability to wash hands before and after obtaining health education utilizing the story-telling method. Conclusion: The utilization of the narrative approach in health education on handwashing can effectively alter children's perceptions, enabling them to evaluate their behaviors based on acquired knowledge.
